For the 2020 season, the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at UBC Farm is updating its policies around event bookings. To maintain the integrity of our site as a research and educational centre, we have updated the hours in which guests are allowed to be on site, the capacity in our events spaces, as well as our fee structure. Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you at the Farm.

We will not be accepting 2021 bookings until further notice.

When considering the UBC Farm for your event, please keep in mind that we are a working research and production farm. This means there may be farm equipment and materials around, farm staff and students working in the fields, irrigation watering the crops, animals making noises (and smells), and other farm activities going on.

Facilities and capacity

Our new day rate structure gives access to both outdoor venues (Events Field and Poplar Grove) for the booking time. We offer 8-hour or 12-hour bookings, from 9:00AM to 9:00PM.

FEE STRUCTURE:

Outdoor venues - Events field (orchard) and poplar grove

(200p total capacity )

Day rate - (9:00AM - 5:00PM) $2000.00

Day + evening rate - (9:00AM - 9:00PM) $3500.00

Indoor Venues

Yurt or Children’s Greenhouse $95.00/hr

(50p capacity each)

Indoor venues are subject to availability - many programs use these spaces over the summer months. Children’s Greenhouse is not available from June-September.

Events occurring in the evening (5:00PM onwards) are subject to an additional staffing fee of $100.00. Rentals ending at 9:00PM must be cleaned up and off-site by this end time. Late fees will apply if party is not off-site by 9:00PM.
Bookings are confirmed by signing our License Agreement and paying a 25% deposit. A $500.00 damage deposit is also required.

Services offered

UBC Farm can offer a country or garden style setting for your upcoming event. It is a self serve venue that allows you to flexibly choose any catering and tenting partner you prefer with no restrictions. As a venue the UBC Farm is well connected with innovative events vendors in the city and allows you to create your customized farm wedding.
