Temple's Country Weddings is located just west of Ottawa, in Lanark County. The unique and stately timber-frame reception/dining hall, dazzling flower gardens, with two stunning outdoor ceremony sites nestled in the 77-acres of beautiful, mature sugar bush makes Temple Sugar Bush the perfect setting for the country wedding of your dreams. Temple's captures the rustic natural history of the area and combines it with exquisitely prepared menus and expertly orchestrated events. Whether it’s a summer wedding in the gardens with the butterflies and zinnias or an outdoor winter ceremony with Taffy on snow, Temple Sugar Bush has something to offer every couple.

Facilities and Capacity
The authentic, up to 200 seat timber-frame Cape Cod style hall at Temple Sugar Bush is surrounded by forests and gardens to bestow an air of mystery and romance upon the venue. The handcrafted stone fireplace and black cherry mantle provide a stunning backdrop for an intimate indoor ceremony. The forest glade and the beautiful perennial gardens are both ideal settings for an outdoor ceremony, followed by cocktail hour on the patio or in the garden.
Services Offered
Nestled in the quiet countryside, Temple's Weddings + Events offers a casual elegance to compliment your magical day. The experienced special events team at Temple's will ensure every detail is attended to, providing you with a wonderfully memorable wedding day your guests will talk about for years. Our wedding package includes services such as planning with an on-site planner as well as a wedding coordinator for the big day. Choice of two outdoor ceremony sites. You and your guests can enjoy the beautiful perenial garden ceremony site that includes a pergola, white folding guests chairs, a wooden signing table, and chair; or you may invision your wedding taking place in the maple woods with the birds singing and trees providing the green canopy while your guests sit on locally grown live edge wooden benches in an all natural attmosphere. You have full use of many necessary items such as wooden tables, chairs, table runners, glassware, dishware, cutlery, slideshow screens, wishing well lockbox, wooden cupcake and cake stands, vases, signs, lanterns and seasonal decor. Licensed bar and all event staff will also be assigned to your event to ensure it flows seamlessly. While your guests arrive, your bridal party will be getting dressed in the groom's room (log cabin) and the bridal loft (in the sugar camp). You have the use of flower gardens, trail and grounds for photos. Family or plated -style food service is all made in house by the talented culinary staff of the property. You can also look forward to customized menus, timelines, and bar signage.

Our Fairy Tale Wedding Made Into A Dream Come True
Let me start off by saying that multiple people came to us after our wedding telling us that our wedding was hands-down the best wedding they've ever been to! And this could not have been possible without Temple's Country Weddings!
We are still beaming from the immense amount of happiness from our wedding day this past weekend at Temple's. We cannot express how absolutely perfect our wedding day was, and how incredible the service was that Temple's provided.
Throughout the planning, Moira, Sherry, and Alexandra were so attentive to every detail, providing us with dedicated attention throughout. The planning documents and templates they provided were so helpful in organizing our thoughts, and really made the process so smooth. As our wedding was planned from out of province, the Zoom calls helped a ton.
The day of the wedding went seamlessly- not once did I feel stressed or rushed. Alexandra kept us on timeline and attended to anything we needed. All of the staff that day were so welcoming and friendly.
The venue is stunning. We got married in the forest venue, and it felt like a magical forest. Every corner of the venue radiates beauty. The bride's loft and the groom's cabin were also so special. The indoor reception was made so intimate with the twinkle lights and white cloth amongst the wooden aesthetic.
We cannot forget about the delicious food! The appetizers passed around during cocktail hour, the smoky beef tenderloin for our main, and the maple dessert were perfect. The buttermilk biscuits during the appetizer course were especially to die for! The late-night poutine also hit the spot for guests after tearing it up on the dance floor!
I already wish I could relive the whole day and get married there again! We would absolutely recommend Temple's Sugar Bush!

A Wedding Dream Come True
There are not enough words to express how beautiful our wedding was at Temple's Sugar Bush. The day went off without a hitch from start to finish.
Sherry gave us a very detailed tour of the venue before booking, making it easy for us to imagine exactly how the day would go. We could easily see their attentiveness to all the little details from the get go.
The venue itself is so beautiful with several options for ceremony spaces. We did our ceremony in the woods, with the trees offering a beautiful backdrop. They also offer so much decor to choose from that we did not have to bring very much of our own, saving us a lot of work and stress. What we did bring, they set up and tore down for us. Their wedding details form made it easy for us to describe our vision for the day and they really took what we described and elevated it to a level I did not think possible.
We had a wonderful rehearsal with the bridal party a few days before with Jenna, who thoroughly entertained us and made sure we were all prepared and knew what to do on the day of!
Our wedding coordinator Alexandra was amazing to work with throughout and communication was so easy so there was really no need to hire a wedding planner. She was very amenable to all of the last minute changes, making it a stress free process. On the day, she frequently checked in on us, making sure we had everything we needed and every detail was perfect.
To top it all off, the food was absolutely delicious, with guests raving about all the appetizers, courses, and dessert. They also made us a cake for cutting, which not only looked so cute, but was tasty too!
Every member of the staff we interacted with brought such good energy and banter. You can easily see how much they love and pride themselves in making your wedding dreams come true. I would highly recommend Temple's for your wedding! Thank you again!

Our BEST Choice!!!
I cannot say enough great things about Temple’s Sugar Bush!! We made the best possible choice selecting Temple’s as our wedding venue and entrusting them with such a monumental day!! From day one to after the ceremony has passed, Temple’s staff has been so easy to work with. They are prompt, responsive, and thorough in all communications. They are very well organized and have every detail thought of, which helps build a precise vision for the event. They are transparent in doing business – there were never any extra charges (no ‘service fee’ that isn’t a gratuity) or hidden costs. They have a nice inventory of décor items that they allow you to use for free. Everything was so well-coordinated and worked out exactly as we wanted!
Venue: The venue itself is gorgeous! We were able to have our ceremony, pictures, and reception all on site, which really simplifies a lot of the logistics. The indoor space is so warm and charming and is very well-suited for 100-120 guests. But it’s the outdoor space that we really fell in love with! It’s beautifully landscaped, and there are two outdoor ceremony sites to choose from. We absolutely loved the forest option, which gave our ceremony a unique, nature-based vibe that our guests seemed to also really enjoy. (Plus it was great to have shade in the middle of August!)
Food: The food was absolutely amazing!! We had heard about the fantastic food during our planning process, and Chef Connor totally lived up to the hype! We offered our guests meal options of salmon, steak, chicken, or a vegetarian main course, and all were top notch! We also asked to add a pasta course, and Temple’s and the chef were very accommodating to the customization of our menu. We also really appreciate the menu tasting that Temple’s organized for wedding couples, which helped us be confident in our menu selection.
Staff: Every member of the Temple’s Sugar Bush staff was a delight to work with! They are professional, friendly, and accommodating. Sherry made us feel so well-attended to, and laid things in a very organized manner. She made us feel comfortable with the planning process and that we were in good hands. Alexandra really made every detail our day become a reality! She is so lovely and easy to work with and really had everything thought of and taken care of. On the day of our event, she really saw to my every need throughout the day and made sure that I was able to enjoy and be present for my own event. She alleviated so much of the stress that comes with planning and execution of the actual day. Jenna was so helpful with our wedding rehearsal and was with us all day on the ceremony, ensuring everything ran smoothly. We really appreciate her vibrant energy and event coordination.

Literally perfect
If you want a stress free wedding day, this is 100% the venue for you. The staff made me feel so taken care of, and thought of every small detail ahead of time to make sure I only had to focus on getting married. Food is incredible, atmosphere is unmatched, gardens are beautiful, wouldn't change a thing!

Perfect Wedding Day!
I cannot begin to sing enough praises of working with Temples. The venue is gorgeous, the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, the food was amazing and several of the guests told me it was the best and more beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to. It made our wedding absolutely perfect!

A dream come true
Choosing temples as our wedding venue was an absolute dream come true! I can not say enough about temples. Not only is their venue naturally breath taking, but temples has created a space that pays attention to the small details. From their grooms room, to baskets of whatever you might need in the restrooms, temples has thought of everything ahead of time! Their selection of decor for us made decorating easy, and inexpensive. They truly are an all-inclusive wedding venue. The fact that their food is one of the best parts, is the cherry on top! Every single one of our guest raves about the food! And sooo much of it!
Lastly I have to speak about the staff! From the very behind, Sherry and Moira were incredibly warm and welcoming. By the time our wedding was over we truly felt like part of the Temples family! We can not wait to come back in the spring for pancake breakfast and get to be in this special place once again!

Exceptional Service and Gorgeous Grounds
My fiance and I got married on Oct 29th, 2021 at Temple's after delaying and then cancelling our destination wedding in Mexico due to Covid. I have to say I was pretty devastated as I really didn't want to get married in Canada; I wanted to be on a beach!! We decided to go with Temple's as they had such good reviews and we just got such a good vibe from them from the very first communication.
Now that our wedding day has come and gone I can honestly say I am so happy we ended up getting married at Temple's, our day was perfect. The staff there are absolutely impeccable. Sherry, Moira and Michael will go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect. We cancelled our Mexico wedding in August and planned with Temple's our October wedding in less than 90 days. We did 99% of the planning virtually due to Covid and although not ideal, the planning process was smooth. We did do a site visit before booking and they even sent us home with some left overs from the event the night before so we could try the food (thanks Moira!). Temple's is all about the little details!
The grounds at Temple's are gorgeous and although the property is small there is a lot of areas for different, beautiful backdrops. The main building is adorable from the outside and warm and inviting on the inside. They set out fleece blankets to our guests during the ceremony and had umbrellas in case of rain. They had a firepit going for after the ceremoney for guests to warm up around. They have many different decorations, candle holders, and signs for you to use all at no additional charge. Our guests raved about the food and there was a lot of variety to choose from! Sherry even offered to walk down the aisle behind me and hold my train up so it wouldn't get too wet/dirty. It ended up being quite dry luckily but being October you never know! Sherry also took down our arch swag and rearranged it on the mantle to save us from buying two different flower arrangements. They have beautiful gardens in the front and back, I almost wish we would have gotten married in the spring!
All in all I have nothing bad to say about Temple's and the amazing crew that works there. They are kind and caring and want your day to be as special as you do. Thank you so much to everyone at Temple's, especially Sherry, Michael and Moira. We have nothing but perfect, special memories from our wedding day there! You guys rock! We will definitely be back for maple syrup in the spring.
