Beautiful but Disappointing
However, we encountered challenges in planning as various individuals were responsible for different aspects of our wedding. Moreover, our contract lacked clarity regarding the services provided and omitted, and our rehearsal dinner timeline was changed three times.
We also received feedback from several guests, vendors, family members, and our wedding party about the staff's rudeness and short tempers. One notable incident involved my brother accidentally bumping into a bartender, who responded with, “Be careful, you drunk!” Please keep in mind that my brother has been sober for five years.
When the owner inquired about our day, I tried to express our concerns, but I felt that our conversation was met with defensiveness and dismissal. After reflecting on this interaction, I decided to share this review.
Overall, while the Black Barn is a beautiful venue and we found some staff to be professional, the treatment of our guests and family did not meet our expectations.
