We recently had our wedding ceremony at the Celebration Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth Park and we couldn't speak more highly of the Chapel Group and our wonderful officiant, Mitch. From my first phone call with the Chapel Group where a woman I'd never met was giving me very valuable advice on where to find my wedding dress, to our initial tour and multiple consultations, and finally our beautiful and unforgettable ceremony, this was the most fantastic choice we could have made for our wedding day. Mitch gave us a ceremony with the perfect balance of calm humour and respectful dignity. We were free to set the tone for our ceremony in all areas and there was never any pressure to subscribe to a specific belief system, though Mitch's long career as a pastor was much appreciated by us. The "package deal" offered by the Chapel Group included the venue, decor, pianist, and officiant and was a huge time-saver. Nothing but outstanding things to say about this vendor.Sent on 06/04/2016

We had our wedding ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth Celebration Pavilion. After looking at several potential locations (with a wedding in March in Vancouver, we knew that we had to had a covered, indoor ceremony), we knew that this was the one we wanted. It is in a beautiful setting, and the pavilion is gorgeous. It seats about 130 people, has doors that open behind the stage to allow for the feel of an outside ceremony, but is covered and heated so keep you and your guests warm and dry no matter the weather. Also, it includes all ceremony services, so you can pay one price and know that all the details are covered. When we booked through them, they were very professional, answering all our emails quickly and completely. The package comes with an officiant, décor (from a limited selection they offer), music, a host to greet and seat guests and keep the ceremony on track and on time, a bride's room (to hide out and final prep while guests arrive), and the beautiful venue. I did feel that the cost was quite high (2800$) but we couldn't find anything else that compared so for us, it was worth the cost as it was the perfect ceremony.
Officiant - we had Mitch as our officiant. He was recommended to us by a friend who had been married at the same venue the year before, and he was wonderful. We had a planning meeting with him in advance, and he was kind, warm, and created a beautiful ceremony. We were sent several options via email for our ceremony readings, so we were able to edit and create exactly what we wanted to be said and how our ceremony would progress. This also gave us the chance to add in any special details or readings that we wanted beforehand. On the day of our rehearsal, Mitch had everyone practice their parts, so that us, our parents, and wedding party all knew exactly where to go, how to walk, how to stand, and he even focused on details to get the perfect wedding photos (such as turning your hand slightly when putting on the wedding ring so the photographer can see the ring, and holding your first kiss longer than might feel natural so that you can get a great photo). Mitch knows exactly what to do and made our ceremony perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant.
The décor was great, we kept it simple with a black carpet and white flowers, but there is the option to add florals, extra décor, etc.
Music- we selected the pianist option (there are options for a quartet) and he was great. We selected our bride, signing, and recessional songs from a list, but they were also very open to the idea when we asked for a special song to be played for a processional song that wasn't on the list. We sent them the music, and the pianist did an amazing job playing our special song, adding such a great personal touch.
One thing to note, they are very strict with their ceremony times, as they offer several ceremonies per day during high season. You have choices of 2 hour blocks (which is plenty of time), so when planning, just be prepared that you have to stay on time as there may be a wedding before and after yours.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Celebration Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth park with the Chapel Group.Sent on 12/11/2016

The most perfect day!
We had our wedding November of 2018 when we were so sure it would be typical Vancouver weather. The day turned out to be so beautiful and sunny. Our photos turned out so lovely as they opened the pavilion doors right before we started the ceremony. We took our vows just as the sun set and it was such a beautiful setting. Allan was most accommodating to our requests and we were very happy he was the one to officiate. We wouldn’t have changed anything about our special day. Thank you so much Allan!Sent on 17/02/2019

We knew we wanted to get married at the Celebration Pavilion almost as soon as we walked inside. The venue is perfect for the fickle Vancouver weather, as it allows you to have the illusion of an outdoor wedding (the back doors swing wide open) while being safe from any rain that might happen. It's also heated, which is perfect for a crisp fall day. Allan was amazing as our officiant and asked us a ton a questions to get to know us so he could try and tailor the ceremony to our needs. He was also pretty unfazed by all the toddlers running around (we had 5 in the wedding party) and unplanned traffic delays at the rehearsal. The Chapels group was also very responsive to all email questions.Sent on 14/11/2018

Great memorable wedding
Had my wedding ceremony done by Tim, Tim and Allen were a great team! Tim put in great effort in understanding our story and personalizing the speech to tailor to me and my husband, my family, and friends. Even though English is not my husband’s first language, he made sure to lead him to complete the vows effortlessly. So no where you come from, you and your guests will definitely enjoy the ceremony.Sent on 19/12/2018
