Kortright Event Space is a charming park wedding venue located in Vaughan, Ontario. Originally founded in 1979, this multifaceted event area boasts several spaces to host your celebration of romance and commitment. With indoor and outdoor options available, this property can do justice to a whole host of themes and concepts. Featuring woodlands all around, it has multiple places where couples and wedding guests can come together for a remarkable celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
Owing to the several hundred acres of woodlands that envelope the Kortright Event Space, this property is a secluded retreat. It is ideal for those who would like a private gathering of between 80 and 200 people. For the milestone ceremony, couples can join together with their invitees at Forest Path or the Cathedral of Trees. In front of a makeshift gazebo, the to-be-weds can make their union official as seated guests watch on either side of the natural aisle. Surrounded by nature, these eye-catching settings create peaceful and easy-going ambiences for the elevated occasion. Alternatively, if the weather is not on the party’s side, everyone can make use of the indoor Forest Gallery. Once the officiant has declared the happy couple as newlyweds, they can exit to enjoy some photo opportunities around the grounds.
The Main Hall boasts the largest capacity of all for the partying and festivities, so it can accommodate approximately 150 guests. The Forest Gallery allows up to 135 people to mix and mingle, and this event space is illuminated by natural and artificial light thanks to both large windows and skylights. The Glass House is perhaps the most striking of all, and it can host 120 people. It lets the outside in while retaining a rustic warmth throughout. A get-ready suite is also available on site.
Couples who book their wedding at Kortright Event Space can avail of an event planning service. The staff are delighted to work alongside clients to meticulously organize each detail, and they enjoy ensuring that each celebration lives up to expectations. Couples are free to choose a package that best suits them. Event rentals can be provided, while setup and cleanup services are also included. What’s more, a variety of hand-picked vendors are welcome to come on site to tailor the property accordingly.
A partnership with Peter and Pauls Event Catering means that the couple and their loved ones can enjoy a high-quality culinary experience. Catering styles include hors d’oeuvres, buffets, cocktail receptions, plated meals, desserts, and more. Gluten-free and vegetarian fare is available, while organic and locally inspired menus can be furnished.

Stunning Venue, Amazing Team, Great Food
Our experience with the Kortright Centre and byPeterandPauls.com was amazing on our wedding day. They were so attentive, such great hosts and very professional. The entire evening ran so smoothly and was beautiful. The Glass House is the perfect venue for a romantic and intamite event. The food was incredible and we had so many compliments from the guests on it. They said it was the best wedding food they've ever had. They also took all the precautions required right now to make everything safe during the pandemic. Tables were very spread out, appetizers were served with all the different options on one plate, the ceremony seating was spread out to keep everyone safe. The servers and bartenders were so attentive and fun. So many guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue and the forest. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with a romantic woodsy atmosphere, wonderful staff & great food and drinks you should check out the Kortright Centre.

Some hiccups but beautiful in the end!
When my husband and I found this venue for our wedding, we were ecstatic! It was everything we could have wanted in a venue and checked all of my forest fairytale boxes. When we booked with the venue, they were run by the TRCA and about halfway through it changed to a byPeterandPaul company. This was basically the only issue we had with the venue. The change wasn't really explained to us when it happened which led to some confusion on our part. We also had 4 different coordinators from the time we booked to the time of our wedding. Some were very difficult to get a hold of and we would only find out the coordinator had changed by emailing the previous coordinator to be told there was someone new.Sent on 15/10/2019
It all worked out in the end though. Stephanie-Lynn and Francesca were both amazing and pretty timely with their responses to my emails. The food was amazing and the service on the night was wonderful. I do wish we could have taken some of the extra food with us (my husband and I didn't get a chance to taste our late-night station because we didn't even know it was out) but they did give us a lovely little "doggy bag" of sandwiches, water and apples which was such a lovely touch.
All in all, our wedding was beautiful and I would do it here again in a heartbeat!

Loved our wedding experience at the Kortright!
My husband and I were married at the Kortright in May 2019 and had a wonderful experience. We loved being able to use the entire grounds for pictures and also appreciated the venue's flexibility in case of rain - we planned to get married in the Cathedral of Trees but if there was poor weather we could tell the venue on the day of (by 10am) and use the Glass Hut to still get the outdoor vibe. I believe some other venues require 24 hour notice for changes like this so we were very glad to be able to call it on the same day - and were able to use the outdoor space!
Peter and Pauls did take over the venue while we were working with them but for us it was a great experience. Although we did switch representatives a few times while they sorted out the take over, we then ended up working with Stephanie who was truly AMAZING. She was extremely responsive, answered my 100 daily questions and was very flexible to allow us to customize our day. The company even honoured some of the details of our prior TCRA contract which was appreciated.
We were able to use some of the venue decor (lanterns, easels) which saved on some small costs. The venue also had a representative on site the day of the wedding to help out with coordination, timing etc. which was very helpful (I didn't realize this was provided so ended up hiring a day of coordinator which may not have been necessary).
We did have to pay for an open bar during dinner (just wine was served otherwise) but I believe that is common with many venues. Food was amazing, the guests were all very happy. We chose to upgrade our chairs for the reception (would be nice if these chairs were part of the main decor)...but if you choose to do so, the cost was relatively low compared to other external vendors. The venue now uses white folding chairs for outdoor ceremonies which is great. We were able to rent heaters, life sized board games and have a smores station (instead of a cake) - all for pretty reasonable prices.
Although the carpet could be updated, the decor of the venue was exactly what we were looking for. Wood, glass, greenery. A very nature/forest feel, even when indoors. The lights were an added cost to turn on but so worth it. Other venues we visited advised they would charge to have lights installed anyway.
Overall, we had a very hassle free, happy experience. Staff were very kind and accommodating. The ability to call for weather on the day reduced our stress level immensely as we wanted an outdoor ceremony. The venue is only private after 4pm (open to the public before hand) but this can easily be planned for (we did a 5pm ceremony and had no issues - even took pictures starting at 1pm in the grounds). And of course the gorgeous venue was why we chose the Kortright in the first place. So thank you to the wonderful staff! We truly had the best day ever.Sent on 17/07/2019

Beautiful Venue, Disappointing Staff
This venue provided such a beautiful backdrop for our wedding day. However, the staff did not meet my expectations at all, leaving me with a very bittersweet aftertaste. Their negligence caused plenty of unnecessary stress and chaos. The “day of coordinator” was nowhere to be found, we had been told we could start setting up décor on the tables at noon, to arrive and be told the tables wouldn’t be set up until 4, and my vendors were all lost and confused with no one to direct them where to go. I was told that cabs/ubers can get to the venue no problem, but it was almost impossible to get an uber to come down to the venue parking lot (which is quite a way from the front gates!). The food on our wedding day was quite good (thankfully), but the tasting was terrible. After sending an email highlighting my disappointment and suggestions for improvements the venue could make for future weddings, the reply email from the managing director was abrasive and avoided taking any responsibility for the mishaps. My recommendation: if you fell in love with this venue’s beauty like I did and are determined to have your wedding there, make sure that you hire a wedding planner—you need a full-time professional on your side when dealing with this venue.Sent on 02/01/2020

Not worth it
The place is beautiful but it’s Not worth it on my opinion . It’s outdated and the coordinators are very hard to get ahold of and very confusing. I had like 5 different people ... they kept changing my coordinator. No one answers their phones..Sent on 02/06/2019
the day of my wedding my decorator arrived and was told she couldn’t set up because they had some event for kids going on... she had to wait until 4pm!!!(my wedding was at 5pm) they had about 20 people running around rushing to set up on time. Ridiculous. My guests arrived and they were still setting up. I arrived 10 mins late and there was still cardboard boxes laying around from the decorations...
Its overpriced for what you get and they charge you more for everything. They charge you $250 just to turn on the twinkle lights they already have set up..
400$ to use the forest gallery which is out dated and doesn’t even have a washroom on the main floor. My guests has to walk up 2 flights of stairs and across a large room to get to a washroom. The Carpet is old and stained and theres ugly baseboard heaters that have no purpose.
