Wild Honey Weddings

Wild Honey Weddings did the florals for my wedding in February 2020, and my engagement photos in August 2019. She's wonderful, very flexible, offers great suggestions and quality, and has a lovely recycling program! I highly recommend her!

We used Wild Honey for our wedding flowers as they were recommended by our photographer (who was incredible and not at all to blame for this mess). There were issues from the beginning that I should have seen as red flags, emails went weeks without response and the samples she sent were pictures from online (not her own work or sketches).
Brenna told us a few times that she was busy with "bigger priority" weddings and that was cause for the constant delays. I found this upsetting, as we were forced to do a small wedding because of COVID and it was clear she was uninterested in our special day. Unfortunately, by the time I realized what a mistake it would be to go with Wild Honey as a vendor, it was too late to cancel and find another florist. I truly feel like we had been strung along.
A week before our wedding we still had not heard back from Brenna regarding any of our questions about set up, flower details, etc. which caused major stress.

The bridal bouquet was lovely, and the one boutonnière looked great also. However, the corsages did not arrive as promised (with a faux pearl bracelet) and the elastic they were glued to was too tight for my mom/mil to wear.
When I walked up the aisle, I wanted to cry looking at the floral arrangement that had been done - it looked horrendous. Too small for the space, included flowers that were not supposed to be included (eg white lilies), and you could SEE the green foam base. Honestly the space and out wedding photos would have looked better WITHOUT the florals. I still cringe looking at the video of our wedding, as the little green foam blocks cheapen the beautiful scene.

I hope that this experience isn't the norm and that other brides have a better time using this company.

Brides beware, I usually don’t leave reviews for anything but I’m so upset that one of the most important things to me at my wedding was so short of what I requested, that I feel I need to review Wild Honey Weddings.
The initial meeting went well, we told Brenna the florist what we wanted, what flowers we didn't want etc. I should've known because asking for examples of her work was like pulling teeth.
Closer to the date, I hadn't heard back so I reached out myself to see if she was still providing services due to covid. Getting a hold of her was unnecessarily hard, i kept emailing her and never got replies, I had to message her on instagram. She told me my emails were going to the wrong inbox, not sure why but if you're running a professional business and one for a big event in someones life the business should be more attentive. she eventually told me that my wedding wasnt the only one she had and that she took 24h to het back but it had been 2 weeks! We were promised a plan and sketches on how she was going to design our flowers and we never got it, even after asking for it. I sent her a document outlining everything i wanted with pictures for inspiration and most things besides the bridesmaids bouquets looked or were even remotely close to what I asked for. I’m so upset, I feel like I didnt get my moneys worth also. Her arrangements were so small the venue looked empty! She made me choose vases and they looked nothing to what I asked for. She provided me pictures of pillars and urns for two large ceremony arrangements and mid ceremony I notice they looked nothing like what she sent me. They looked like small wood pieces painted in white, the arrangement itself were like three times smaller than the centrepieces and I specifically told her they were large. Provided pictures and paid like double or triple the centrepiece price for each. I asked for hanging greenery in the venue and got zero hanging greenery like this is ridiculous! The day of the wedding she posted my bouquet and it had a flower I specifically told her not to get, she ended up changing it telling me how she though i liked it because my sister did. Not sure what that has to do with me. I told her i didnt like another flower and i go sit at my head table and what do i see? That flower! Anyway, im just so dissatisfied and disappointed I wanted to cry when I got to the venue. It looked so empty. I wanted to give her a chance because she looked like she was new in the industry but this was the worst vendor experience. I think the only good thing they did was leave us a wedding card. I just wished I would have gotten the flowers that I asked for. It was one of the most important aspects and i got nothing like what I asked for 😭 One thing I've learned though, always go with someone with more experience for such an important life moment.
