The New Rideau is a Kemptville-based venue that specializes in providing an intimate setting for your upcoming nuptials. It's the perfect venue for smaller weddings boasting with historic charm as it is set along the famous Rideau Waterway. Known for it's impeccable food and great service, this restaurant venue quickly partnered up with an experienced team of event planners to open it's doors up to weddings.

Facilities and capacity

The facilities found at The New Rideau include a glass atrium and sunroom reception space which allows for plenty of natural light and the versatility of being able to decorate it any way you want. It also offers a two-story cabin which is right outside the main reception space which can be used as a bridal suite. This restaurant venue has a capacity for up to 200 guests.

Absolutely wonderful

Pietro was flexible, understanding, and did everything he could to make our day special and accommodate our vision. He could because he owns the place which is handy. He's hospitable and easy going. The property is beautiful! Whether you get married inside or outside it'll be stunning! You can have all your wedding at this venue including the rehearsal dinner should you choose or you could do part of it there but make life easy and spend your day there. Spring for the cottage as well ladies! It's perfect for you and your ladies to get ready and for a quiet place for you and your new groom to grab a second after photos before the dinner. If you do just bring some extra lighting. It's close to downtown kemptville as well so your guests will have somewhere to go in between if they choose. Wouldn't have more than 130 guests here. I can't remember how much we spent but it was very affordable! A better deal than most venues we looked at!

Recommendable venue for a wedding

Staff were really cooperative, and the venue was really amazing. My wedding turned out the way I wanted it to be. The venue works really well for an intimate wedding. The glass atrium was really nice at night.

Exceeded expectations!!

The staff, the presentation, the food and the price exceeded our expectations. The venue was intimate yet spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff and food was amazing... we have had nothing but compliments on how delicious the food was and the plate presentation. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our wedding was and it had everything to do with The New Rideau! Excellent staff including the very talented and awesome chef Pietro! 10 Stars here!!
