Mintara had everything we were looking for, from an outdoor ceremony space with an incredible view and backdrop, to a private indoor/outdoor event space for a reception, dinner, and dancing. And the team at Mintara truly delivered. We couldn’t have asked for a better site manager to work with than Carissa Quan, who accommodated our special requests and treated us like royalty throughout the planning and the event day itself. And the entire team delivered top notch dishes for our reception, dinner buffet, and guest-favorite dessert bar. With this team around us, we were able to focus on being in the moment of this once-in-a-lifetime event, knowing our guests were getting the exceptional experience that we envisioned…spectacular sunset included. We give the highest praise of Mintara atop Burnaby Mountain, and the highest recommendation of the venue and team to anyone planning their special event! Excellent venue. Location, Location, Location. The weather cooperated with us, and we got the best day of our lives with an amazing sunset to boot.

Everything was perfect right from the get-go for our wedding. From the initial meet-up, menu and wine pairings, and to the communication and keeping us in the loop, everything was spot on. Everything was seamless, even when we had minor changes on the day of our wedding.

We got married at Mintara on Burnaby Mountain in August 2025, and it was an absolute dream. The venue is stunning! The large windows let in so much natural light, creating the most beautiful atmosphere throughout the day.

From the start, Carissa and her team went above and beyond. She made sure we were taken care of at every step, answering all our questions and making the planning process feel so smooth. We chose plated meals, and the food was delicious, with plenty of options to customize too!

On the day of, the Mintara team continued to show incredible care and attention to detail. They even set aside plates for us from cocktail hour so we wouldn’t miss out. Not having to worry about those little things truly made the day even more magical.

If I could do it all over again, I’d choose Mintara again and again. Highly recommend this amazing venue and team.

We recently had our wedding here at Mintara, and it was absolutely perfect! Carissa and her team were phenomenal — they went above and beyond, exceeding all of our expectations. The entire planning process was smooth and seamless, with excellent communication from start to finish. It was set to rain on our wedding day, but the team did everything they could to make our outdoor ceremony possible and to keep our guests comfortable, which meant so much to us. Their flexibility and dedication truly made the day stress-free and special. Our guests also couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the space was and how delicious the food was. We chose the buffet style, and even 2 weeks after the wedding, our family and friends are still telling us about how amazing everything tasted!

Mintara truly saved us. We had a last minute terrible experience with another venue and luckily found Carissa and her team at Mintara. She is incredible. Professional, responsive, accommodating. Food and beverage options were great. Ceremony space was beautiful. A perfect venue that has an inside/outside space. It meant the world to us and they successfully pulled off our dream wedding. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Bonus: the view at sunset is something that can’t be beat.

I can’t speak highly enough of Carissa, Kevin and their entire team. Our wedding this June went even better than I could have imagined, thanks to them! Carissa is so organized, responsive and professional and made us feel at ease throughout the whole journey. She is very accommodating and flexible (we almost got rained on but I felt relief knowing Carissa and her team had a backup plan ready to go). Kevin was amazing with our guests and made sure no passerby interrupted our rose garden ceremony. I’m so grateful that we chose them as our venue, they all hold a special place in my heart for helping to make our day perfect! Also the food and drinks were incredible - guests are still talking about it.

The team at Mintara went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. They were not only professional but also incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel completely taken care of. Carissa was especially great to work with, she was responsive, organized and very helpful throughout the planning process and helped ensure everything ran flawlessly on the big day. The venue also has a bridal room which was super helpful for us and made getting ready so much easier.

Throughout the planning process, Carissa was so responsive in answering any questions we had, but also making recommendations to ensure our day was smooth. Also the food was delicious - and we received so many compliments from our guests! 10/10 wedding venue :)

Both the venue and the staff were perfect. Carissa and her team were incredibly helpful, thoughtful and prompt in helping us plan for the big day. The rose garden was a great venue for the ceremony, and the restaurant was absolutely perfect for the size for our 85 guest party. The food was incredible, as was the bar staff. Their bartenders also make some great cocktails - highly recommend the Tokyo Fizz. Venue costs overall were very reasonable and service was top notch. Would highly recommend.

This venue is the full package and I have nothing but praise for the team, venue, and food. I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend this to anyone looking for a wedding venue. I had at least some complaints about the other venues I considered, but I honestly don't have any for this one.

Carissa and Kevin were great to work with. They were responsive, helpful, understanding, and friendly yet professional. I did my own wedding planning and coordination on the day of, and they made the coordination a breeze. Their team executed everything in a timely, efficient, and professional manner that went above and beyond our expectations. Multiple wedding guests told us how impressed they were with the staff's speed and professionalism. You can tell that their team is experienced and extremely well-managed.

The venue itself is simple, modern, and spacious. The views in this entire area are incredible. The view from inside the restaurant is stunning, because it's physically elevated so you get a panoramic view that makes you forget you're in a public park. Guests can sit indoors in the AC or out on the private patio to enjoy the view. The rose garden next to the venue is an incredibly convenient and beautiful location for the ceremony, and the surrounding park has endless photo spots so there's no need to travel for photos. Everything was so beautiful that we barely needed any additional decor.

The food was actually delicious. I don't mean delicious for a wedding venue, but actually delicious for restaurant standards. Fresh, generous portions, with balanced and sophisticated flavours. Every single one of our guests told us they loved the food.
