Facilities and Capacity
Excellent indoor and outdoor wedding locations are offered by the venue for celebrations. A fully equipped bridal suite is also provided for use on your special day. The Falls Room features floor-to-ceiling windows that highlight stunning views in this room that can seat up to 200 guests. From the stone fireplace to the waterfall-adjacent outdoor patio, authentic charm radiates from every corner of this event space. Alternately, the Governor's Room is classically decorated and can seat up to 130 guests. It features casement windows, high ceilings, a stone fireplace, and exposed beams. The room has been lovingly renovated to serve all of your event needs while maintaining the original architecture. For an authentic and intimate experience, you can host your reception in the 1812 Room. This room is found in the original grist mill and features artifacts from 1792. Accented with subtle lighting and the serene sounds of a nearby stream, this room can accommodate up to 70 guests. The dazzling Millview Room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, two large fireplaces, and an elegant chandelier. With room for 100 guests, the Millview Room embraces the beauty of the picturesque landscape surrounding the venue.

History
Located in one of the oldest communities in Ontario, Ancaster Mill has stood at the centre of local history for more than 200 years. The mill is a formidable stone structure with four-foot-thick walls, built with limestone blocks sourced from the property. The Ciancone family purchased the mill in 1972 and began transforming the historical landmark into a charmingly elegant restaurant and special events venue. Today, this venue is esteemed for its sensational food and phenomenal hospitality.

Couldn’t ask for any place better!
The food was phenomenal and the signature drinks were such a personal touch. They even went above and beyond to add a lavender spritz to our fall menu just for my lavender-themed wedding—even though it was originally a summer option! That thoughtful detail meant the world to me.
On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. I truly felt like a VIP from start to finish. The level of service, care, and professionalism far exceeded my expectations—and the price honestly blew me away considering how much they did for us.

Our perfect day!
It was an exceptionally hot day, and she was constantly by my side—dabbing away sweat with Kleenex (which she graciously held without a second thought!), adjusting my dress, coordinating with vendors, and making sure everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. She anticipated needs I didn’t even know I had, allowing me to fully relax and enjoy each moment.
On top of her incredible skill and professionalism, she was so warm and personable. She was easy to talk to, supportive, and made everyone feel at ease. She felt like both a trusted professional and a friend—someone you’d want by your side on such an important day.
She was truly the reason our day unfolded so beautifully. I felt completely taken care of, and I’ll never forget the care and grace she brought to our celebration. If you have the opportunity to work with her, consider yourself incredibly lucky—she is absolutely perfect.

The grounds are stunningly beautiful and the food is truly incredible. We are so happy we chose Ancaster Mill and we can’t wait to go back for dinner!
Incredible Full Service Venue
They have hosting weddings down to a science. The food was amazing and we've had guests tell us it was "the best wedding they'd ever been to". The staff kept our guests happy and made sure we, as the couple, felt so special. They included lots of special touches like having two glasses of champagne ready for us after the ceremony so we could have a moment alone to celebrate.
Our day-of coordinator, Sash, was fantastic. She was our best friend for the day, helped me fix my dress, kept us relaxed, and swiftly and expertly handled changes on the fly. She was able to squeeze in a day-of grand entrance rehearsal for us and our wedding party.
If you have a specific timeline in mind for your day, heads up. They provide the timeline and are firm on it, likely because they have multiple weddings onsite each day. Also it is worth mentioning that they only give you access to the bridal suite one hour before your ceremony time, so it is essential to secure a getting-ready location. We used the Barracks, which was excellent because it was close by and the bridal party could all stay there over night.
Overall, we are so happy with our choice to book with The Ancaster Mill and the day was absolutely perfect. It still feels like a dream.
