I wanted to take a few minutes to thank the team at Steamworks for what ended up being an amazing wedding reception for us. Guests commented on how great the food was, how great the service was, how staff ensured that requests were take care of and how everything just flowed without issue. I don't think there's one thing that I could point out as having been problematic.

Personally, I think this is largely due to the event planner I worked with at Steamworks. He was very easy to work with, very accommodating and was always responsive, despite the numerous emails I sent him.

I would not hesitate one second in recommending Steamworks to others who are seeking a venue for an event. I know that I'll have one or two in the future where your pub would be a great fit.

Thanks again for all your help. It truly was an amazing day for us and it couldn't have happened without the dedicated staff at Steamworks.

Hayley did a fantastic job helping us put our day together! She was attentive, accommodating and offered her opinion and recommendations, which we really appreciated.
We had a cocktail reception for 80 guests after the ceremony. The appetizers tasted amazing and guests said they loved the variety. The staff were super friendly and always available. The Uber Lounge was the perfect size and we loved that our guests all were able to mingle with eachother!
We wanted our wedding to feel more like a party then a traditional wedding, and we felt the Uber Lounge was the perfect venue for that. We also had a band play most of the evening, and most guests danced the whole night!
We had an absolute blast and every detail was perfect- I could go on and on and on. Highly recommend!!!!

I cannot day enough good things about our wedding venue. Hayley Mackie was our wedding coordinator from our venue and did an amazing job with everything, I would highly recommend this venue just to have her services💕 she always responded to our email questions quickly, set up all of our rentals for us, met with us in person a few times and she always had a smile 😊

All of the set up was done perfectly and all my husband and I had to do was draw a draft of what we would like, bring the decor a day or two before and the staff of steamworks and Hayley set EVERYTHING up for up ( and it was better than I could have imagined )this was a huge bonus😍

The atrium space was beautiful and a picture perfect spot for our ceremony! We were impressed with the quick takedown after our ceremony to prepare for the buffet and dance floor too! The über lounge had a great ambiance and all of our guests were so happy with the space.

We are so happy we chose Steamworks as our wedding venue. Being able to have our ceremony in the atrium of the Landing building and the reception next door in the Uber lounge was so convenient and something our guests really appreciated. Some highlights for us:
-ceremony space: stunning views, lots of natural light. There is an option to add draping to the back of the room...looks beautiful and was worth the extra cost. Also makes for a great dancing room later on in the night!
-the lounge: perfect space for our 62 person wedding (with room to spare), did not require much decorating...we just added candles and flower centerpieces to the tables
-the food was excellent (we chose the buffet)
-Hayley the coordinator...always quick to answer emails and super knowledgeable

Worked with Andrea for a year finalizing all the details of my big day. She met with us as many times as we needed, answered all of my countless emails and was genuinely great to work with.
She made every aspect of our wedding perfect. She set up the room as we envisioned, and we didn’t have to do a thing. The staff was great, our plates were cleared promptly, and our glasses always filled. A lot of my guests commented on how the food was some of the best they’d had at a wedding in years. We also got to keep whatever didn’t get eaten, so we had leftovers for days!
Being in gastown, it gave us the opportunity to get amazing photos and was central and convenient for most of our guests.
The price point is fair, and it was money very well spent. The minimum spend is $4000, and there is no rental fee for the room. The cost of renting chairs, linens, tables, the food, set up and tear down all go towards this cost, so it’s easy to meet. Overall our final bill with steam works for 70 guests was close to $9,000. including set up tear down, wedding coordinator, buffet, 3 appetizers per person, 3 drinks per person, rental of linens, tables, chairs, tax, gratuities, bridal suite, and rental of the dance hall.
The only thing to consider with this venue is you get married in a room that is owned by the whitecaps, which closes at 6pm, so the earliest you can get married is 7pm. This is great for couples that don’t mind doing a first look at photos before actually walking down the aisle.

Booking Steamworks for our wedding reception was easily the best decision we could have made when planning our wedding. Andrea was our coordinator, and she went absolutely above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I were happy. We planned the wedding from out of town, and she took all of our stress away! Andrea and her team did ALL of the decorating, set up and tare down! The Uber Lounge was the perfect room for our reception. The food was AMAZING, the location perfect, and the service for the evening was so wonderful. Everyone was friendly and professional, and so accommodating. Honestly, I could probably go on and on about how wonderful our experience was with Steamworks, but it might become redundant! The bottom line is that Andrea was an all star, and Steamworks was the perfect venue for our reception. I cannot recommend them enough.

We had our wedding at Steamworks' Uber Lounge. As soon as our event manager, Hayley Mackie, showed us the space we knew that was the place we had to have our wedding in. Hayley helped us during our planning months and on the wedding day, making sure everything worked perfectly for us. Our guests were so happy and comfortable in this space, and they all praised the atmosphere, service and food that was served. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. My wife and I stayed until every guest was gone and chatted a bit with the Bartender (we are so sorry we can't seem to recall his name) and he was the nicest ever! We got the last drinks of the night and were also very happy and relieved the bartender told us they had a great service night with our party. If you want a lovely and unforgettable night for any event or wedding, with amazing service and food, Steamworks is your place.

This venue was perfect for us. It showcased everything great about Vancouver: Beer, mountains, and ocean in lovely Gastown. The planning was pretty effortless, because the ceremony, reception, food, drinks and coordinator all came with the venue. It is also close to hotels and transit. The coordinator, Hayley was great and worked really hard at bringing our plans to fruition, and respecting our budget. She coordinated with our other vendors and answered all our questions. On the day of, we felt really safe leaving setup in her hands. All the staff were also hard working, kind, and attentive throughout the night. My husband and I could just turn our minds off and enjoy the day, knowing that everything was covered. They even set up our decor and packed it up for us at night, so all we had to do was drop it off in the morning and pick it up at some point the next day.

We were initially nervous about having an evening wedding (ceremony at 7:00), but it turned out to be perfect. So if that's the case for you, please consider it. Our guests loved the timeline and that the ceremony and reception were in the same place. We had a cocktail hour before the ceremony (6:00 pm), which was perfect because it gave guests a buffer to arrive at the ceremony on time, and they got to relax and mingle, which created a really warm and excited atmosphere. Dinner was soon after the ceremony, and then we danced late into the night. Guests also loved that the dance floor was separate from the lounge so they could choose to dance, or socialize in a space were they could hear each other talk.

This was a perfect fit for us and we couldn't have been happier with our venue pick. We felt well taken care of throughout the entire planning process. Thank you Steamworks with all our hearts!

Our wedding was fantastic! We couldn't have chosen a better venue. Some things we really loved include:
- Ceremony room is gorgeous! The window gives a stunning view of the North Shore mountains.
-Food was delish! We had multiple people tell us how good it was and they were super accommodating to our requests for more vegetarian options.
- The on-site coordinator (Hayley) was fantastic to work with! It was super easy to get in touch with her and she was transparent & patient throughout the whole process. The other event staff were great and make everything run so smoothly!
- Set up & take down was a breeze! The Steamworks team handled it all and were able to bring our floor plan to life.
We would choose Steamworks again in a heartbeat!
