Steamworks is honestly a hidden gem for a wedding. The Atrium area for the ceremony is absolutely breath taking, with floor to ceiling windows that open up towards the northshore mountains. This is definitely a venue that required minimal decorations. The old school charm of the Uber Lounge and wood tables added a beautiful vintage flair to our wedding reception, and matched our decorations so well! If anything else, having Hayley as the venue planner is a God sent, the execution of the event went so wonderfully because of all her help. With its proximity to Gastown, the beautiful view, and the amazing planner, what more can you ask for in this hidden gem?

Beautiful View
Very easy to deal with Hailey, she organized so much that all we had to do was show up. She even had the space blocked out for our rehearsal at no extra charge. So nice during these COVID times.

A very memorable wedding reception at Steamworks
I wanted to take a few minutes to thank the team at Steamworks for what ended up being an amazing wedding reception for us. Guests commented on how great the food was, how great the service was, how staff ensured that requests were take care of and how everything just flowed without issue. I don't think there's one thing that I could point out as having been problematic.
Personally, I think this is largely due to the event planner I worked with at Steamworks. He was very easy to work with, very accommodating and was always responsive, despite the numerous emails I sent him.
I would not hesitate one second in recommending Steamworks to others who are seeking a venue for an event. I know that I'll have one or two in the future where your pub would be a great fit.
Thanks again for all your help. It truly was an amazing day for us and it couldn't have happened without the dedicated staff at Steamworks.

The most fun day, EVER!
Hayley did a fantastic job helping us put our day together! She was attentive, accommodating and offered her opinion and recommendations, which we really appreciated.
We had a cocktail reception for 80 guests after the ceremony. The appetizers tasted amazing and guests said they loved the variety. The staff were super friendly and always available. The Uber Lounge was the perfect size and we loved that our guests all were able to mingle with eachother!
We wanted our wedding to feel more like a party then a traditional wedding, and we felt the Uber Lounge was the perfect venue for that. We also had a band play most of the evening, and most guests danced the whole night!
We had an absolute blast and every detail was perfect- I could go on and on and on. Highly recommend!!!!

Awesome experience, cozy and fun!
Hayely was awesome! She was very accommodating and all of the Steamworks staff were friendly, and attentive! The food was also delicious!
I cannot day enough good things about our wedding venue. Hayley Mackie was our wedding coordinator from our venue and did an amazing job with everything, I would highly recommend this venue just to have her services💕 she always responded to our email questions quickly, set up all of our rentals for us, met with us in person a few times and she always had a smile 😊
All of the set up was done perfectly and all my husband and I had to do was draw a draft of what we would like, bring the decor a day or two before and the staff of steamworks and Hayley set EVERYTHING up for up ( and it was better than I could have imagined )this was a huge bonus😍
The atrium space was beautiful and a picture perfect spot for our ceremony! We were impressed with the quick takedown after our ceremony to prepare for the buffet and dance floor too! The über lounge had a great ambiance and all of our guests were so happy with the space.

Wonderful wedding at Steamworks
We are so happy we chose Steamworks as our wedding venue. Being able to have our ceremony in the atrium of the Landing building and the reception next door in the Uber lounge was so convenient and something our guests really appreciated. Some highlights for us:
-ceremony space: stunning views, lots of natural light. There is an option to add draping to the back of the room...looks beautiful and was worth the extra cost. Also makes for a great dancing room later on in the night!
-the lounge: perfect space for our 62 person wedding (with room to spare), did not require much decorating...we just added candles and flower centerpieces to the tables
-the food was excellent (we chose the buffet)
-Hayley the coordinator...always quick to answer emails and super knowledgeable

Perfect wedding
As soon as we saw the Uber room and Atrium I knew that’s where I wanted to get married. It was exactly what I had in mind, super chill but stunning and had a rustic feel to it. We skipped the tablecloths and used table runners to save $$ and it turned out better than I had even hoped for.
Staff was amazing especially Hayley and Andrea. I sent so many emails and phone calls that I was embarrassed haha but I always got nothing but great service from them. Hayley was amazing at the ceremony and even held my dog when I was running late - yes, my dog walked me down the isle 😂😂 I didn’t have to worry about anything throughout the night and everything went just as planned. I would get married here in a heartbeat and would recommend it 100%.

Food, staff and coordinator are amazing!
Worked with Andrea for a year finalizing all the details of my big day. She met with us as many times as we needed, answered all of my countless emails and was genuinely great to work with.
She made every aspect of our wedding perfect. She set up the room as we envisioned, and we didn’t have to do a thing. The staff was great, our plates were cleared promptly, and our glasses always filled. A lot of my guests commented on how the food was some of the best they’d had at a wedding in years. We also got to keep whatever didn’t get eaten, so we had leftovers for days!
Being in gastown, it gave us the opportunity to get amazing photos and was central and convenient for most of our guests.
The price point is fair, and it was money very well spent. The minimum spend is $4000, and there is no rental fee for the room. The cost of renting chairs, linens, tables, the food, set up and tear down all go towards this cost, so it’s easy to meet. Overall our final bill with steam works for 70 guests was close to $9,000. including set up tear down, wedding coordinator, buffet, 3 appetizers per person, 3 drinks per person, rental of linens, tables, chairs, tax, gratuities, bridal suite, and rental of the dance hall.
The only thing to consider with this venue is you get married in a room that is owned by the whitecaps, which closes at 6pm, so the earliest you can get married is 7pm. This is great for couples that don’t mind doing a first look at photos before actually walking down the aisle.
