My partner and I hosted our wedding reception in the Steamworks Über Lounge, and it was an amazing experience! Hayley and her team great, they helped us organize our event without a hitch. There was not one moment of stress the whole night, as they made sure things happened when they were supposed to and curated a lovely vibe and experience for everyone who attended. The food was great with lots of options to create a dinner menu from. The bar was a hit with lots of options also. If you are wanting to have a wedding in downtown Vancouver I would definitely reccomend Steamworks! -

My husband and I got married in the Uber Lounge at Steamworks Gastown on August 17th, 2024 and all I can still say about the day is WOW!!
To begin, having Fiona as our day of coordinator was a godsend; I probably changed my mind a hundred times about every single detail and she was nothing but flexible and accommodating. Also, on the day of, she was so reassuring, calm, and collected - it really helped make the day go over so smooth.
We help the ceremony & reception in the Uber Lounge with 64 guests, including ourself and the space was the perfect size.
We had a cocktail hour with appetizers following the ceremony, then we transitioned to a plated 3 course meal for the dinner reception, and we kept the wine flowing all night. The service was AMAZING from all of the staff and all of the food, from the appetizers to the dessert, was a hit with our guests.
I knew the day was going to be amazing but I really didn't imagine it to be so perfect. I received compliments from all of our guests on how beautiful the venue was and how great the food was as well. It's safe to say that Fiona and her team blew all of our expectations out of the water! I will absolutely recommend Steamworks to any future brides and grooms!

We just had our reception here at the Über Lounge and I simply had to come online and leave a review-- it was perfect! We worked with Fiona and I cannot talk her up enough; she was responsive, communicative and clear, friendly and detail-oriented. She always took the time to answer all my questions and help me pin down exactly what sort of reception we were looking for.
Day of, everything was perfect! The decor I had left her was set up beautifully and creatively. We had to push back the start time of dinner (due to someone having to run back to the hotel) and the kitchen and Fiona were all so accomodating. Throughout the night they were very involved with any requests (and we had a few! A surprise slideshow, karoake, temperature adjustment, lights dimming, bill check-ins). Their bar stuff was so friendly and had the best cocktails and service. Every single one of my guests had a great time.

Steamworks is honestly a hidden gem for a wedding. The Atrium area for the ceremony is absolutely breath taking, with floor to ceiling windows that open up towards the northshore mountains. This is definitely a venue that required minimal decorations. The old school charm of the Uber Lounge and wood tables added a beautiful vintage flair to our wedding reception, and matched our decorations so well! If anything else, having Hayley as the venue planner is a God sent, the execution of the event went so wonderfully because of all her help. With its proximity to Gastown, the beautiful view, and the amazing planner, what more can you ask for in this hidden gem? -

Beautiful View
Very easy to deal with Hailey, she organized so much that all we had to do was show up. She even had the space blocked out for our rehearsal at no extra charge. So nice during these COVID times. -

I wanted to take a few minutes to thank the team at Steamworks for what ended up being an amazing wedding reception for us. Guests commented on how great the food was, how great the service was, how staff ensured that requests were take care of and how everything just flowed without issue. I don't think there's one thing that I could point out as having been problematic.
Personally, I think this is largely due to the event planner I worked with at Steamworks. He was very easy to work with, very accommodating and was always responsive, despite the numerous emails I sent him.
I would not hesitate one second in recommending Steamworks to others who are seeking a venue for an event. I know that I'll have one or two in the future where your pub would be a great fit.
Thanks again for all your help. It truly was an amazing day for us and it couldn't have happened without the dedicated staff at Steamworks. -

Hayley did a fantastic job helping us put our day together! She was attentive, accommodating and offered her opinion and recommendations, which we really appreciated.
We had a cocktail reception for 80 guests after the ceremony. The appetizers tasted amazing and guests said they loved the variety. The staff were super friendly and always available. The Uber Lounge was the perfect size and we loved that our guests all were able to mingle with eachother!
We wanted our wedding to feel more like a party then a traditional wedding, and we felt the Uber Lounge was the perfect venue for that. We also had a band play most of the evening, and most guests danced the whole night!
We had an absolute blast and every detail was perfect- I could go on and on and on. Highly recommend!!!! -
