The Kensie Jazz and Dance Band offers a wide range of music that can include ceremony, cocktail/dinner hour and party dance tunes plus great music during the breaks. We do Hollywood era 1920s to 40s swing themed weddings to a variety mix of 50s Rock and Roll, 60s R&B, 70s Funk, Soul, Reggae and Rock Classics, Popular 80s tunes and today's covers. The band adds a touch of romance and elegance to every event. Be it exciting, quiet, Latin, or soul / rhythm & blues, the band can cater to all jazz moods for cocktail and dinner hour. Ceremony music may include: Classical, Jazz and/or Pop songs.

Includes PA sound system and music for breaks. The number of musicians in the ensemble varies from 1 to 6 or larger, depending on what’s desired for the event. Musical selections are drawn from the following genres:

So Happy we chose the Kensie Jazz Band!

So happy we chose Julie and her amazing band for our wedding. From start to finish they were awesome! They played Jazz and contemporary music for us and even had a pianist with singer for our ceremony. Not only were they amazing, but they were really great to work with through all the challenges COVID presented. We had a couple of delays due to older family and COVID rules, but even through all of that they were more than patient and accommodating with us.

In the end, thanks to the Kensie Jazz Band, we had a beautiful classy wedding everyone will remember. Thanks again!

Amazing Jazz Band

The Kensie Jazz band was perfect for our Sunday brunch wedding. They were so flexible with song requests and sounded amazing. I cannot recommend this band enough!

Amazing from beginning to end

They were awesome, we had a backyard wedding and they worked well with the atmosphere and ambience of the night. They showed up on time, set up quickly and played our cocktail hour and buffet dinner service. The neighbors even told us they had dinner on their patios so they could enjoy the music. Amazing all around

Highly recommend

Loved having the Kensie Jazz Band play our wedding. Julie was so great to work with, quick to respond to our questions/requests and helped to make the whole process so smooth and seamless. We got so many compliments about the band. Music was a very important aspect in our wedding and this band truly made the night with how great they were. Professional and extremely talented! Fantastic Experience

We had the Kensie Jazz Band play the reception, and they also provided a piano player for the ceremony. The music was a big hit and everyone loved it. The musicians were very flexible and were able to perform one of my own compositions flawlessly.

Additionally, communication with the band prior to the event was good. It was very clear what they needed and responses were very timely. I would highly recommend them.

Wonderful Cocktail and Dinner Music

The band provided music at the cocktail reception and dinner for our wedding and were absolutely incredible. They played both outside and inside and really set the tone for the evening. We really recommend them for any event!

Fantastic Band - Would Recommend

I am a wedding planner and I worked a wedding with The Kenzie Band today and they were fantastic! Super easy to work with and amazing sound!

My clients hired a 3 piece band; piano, bass and saxophone. All 3 gentlemen playing were very nice, easy going and the guests loved the music!

Would definitely recommend to future my clients :)

Loved them!

My guests loved this jazz band. The guys and Julie are super talented and reasonably priced. They really went above and beyond and were super flexible as well. I’d 100% hire them again for my next big event after having them play at my wedding!

Great band for our sailing regatta

The band that Julie assembled for our sailing regatta was truly professional in many ways. They were impressively talented, played just the right music through the dinner into the evening for dancing and they played a variety of musical styles with apparent ease. The songs they chose spanned the 20's to 80's and some top 40. The business dealings were professional and painless. I received many rave reviews about the band from our members.
