While planning the wedding, I was initially very stressed out about picking a venue. As someone who had a very specific vision for a unique but intimate setting we had a lot of trouble trying to think of somewhere that would meet our needs. I have never wanted a traditional gigantic, cold, ornate, typically manufactured wedding. I wanted somewhere I could feel comfortable being the center of attention, somewhere special enough that it felt like home... without feeling like I was in someone elses' space, and would fit all my most loved ones. 100 Braid St Studios more than surpassed our expectations. Not only is the space gorgeous and extremely unique and full of it's own creative energy (and as my photographer mentioned, 'a photographer's dream when it comes to natural light') being surrounded by inspiring artists work and the beautiful windows was perfect for the kind of feel I wanted in the wedding, and it just made everything seem that much more personal-- something I was wanting that I found lacking in other bland halls we had looked at. But what made the experience even more special was the care and love of the people being 100 Braid St. Susan takes on every project with a huge part of her own heart and infuses it into every project as if everyone involved was a part of her family, or her own piece of art. She made herself available for our crazy schedule to check it out, and beyond letting us use her beautiful space for one of the most important days of our lives, she was there as a huge support, enriching every step of the way. She was always there to listen carefully to what we wanted, and went above and beyond in helping us come up with plans for decoration, layout and just the wedding as an experience. I would send her an email or text inquiring about a small detail, and I found every one of her responses was full of so much personal care, suggestions, forethought and thoroughness, that even when I was stressed out about details and planning, I felt like I was being so well taken care of and in great hands. Not only did her immense amount of experience as a wedding planner shine through in her helpful hints and ability to problem-solve on the spot, the loving community spirit of the place and the people behind it was genuinely a large part of the happiness of our big day. We made sure to take advantage of the extra rentals they have available for events as well. I had so many guests come up to me telling me how great of a venue it was for how beautiful and creative of a venue it was, whether it was for being at the wedding, helping us set up, or just through pictures. So many comments were made about how obviously beautiful and unique of a spot it was... it's a true testament to how even a piece of property can shine because of how good and positive and loving the contents are. It's funny how when you tell people you got married, the first thing they ask is where you had it. I cannot express how happy I was to have had it held at 100 Braid St studios, not only for the breathtaking atmosphere or the fact that I can tell people I had it at an Art Gallery, but for the amazing customer service and personal care and love that goes along everything that is done at this place.

I adored this venue. It was the perfect size space for just under 100 guests with amazing character and an interesting history. All of my guests are still complimenting and commenting on the venue because it is such a unique space. It also still has areas that you can easily customize to your preference and theme with only a little bit of imagination.
