My name is Joelle, and I'm the gritty entrepreneur, head of the creative shenanigans department, and owner of Joy by Joelle. Around here, we produce bold, meaningful experiences that create a hell of a lot of JOY. We dare to dream big, and we absolutely love flexing our creative muscles. We’ve produced over 100 weddings and events all over Western Canada, and well…we just really love to PARTY. You’ll always catch me ‘thinking outside the box’ in a backward hat (or some kind of hat for that matter!) and in my garage building/working on my latest client project! If there’s one thing I know about myself, it’s that I do things differently. I truly believe I was put on this earth to create, and I consider myself incredibly lucky to do it via our client's weddings and events–the best!! I also believe there is no cap on the amount of joy we can blend into our lives. So my wish for you when you work with me, meet me, or interact with my company is that you find some snippet of JOY!

Full Coordination:
This is the real deal and, of course, our all-time favourite service! Our Full Coordination is where we get to work 1:1 with our couples to curate something SOO incredibly special with them. Our Full Coordination service fuses event design and the craft of logistical planning, which results in one hell of a memorable day for our couples and their friends + family. In True Joy by Joelle Lingo: we’re the “baileys to their coffee”--it’s just not the same without us! LOL, But in all seriousness, it’s really about creating as stress-free of an experience as possible for our couples. This is for couples who don't have the time and energy to plan out every aspect of the day, want to fully enjoy the experience of being engaged, and want their wedding day beautifully curated by our team. For our Full Coordination couples, we create a full-out visual design deck of their wedding day, we bring on vendors that fit both the couple's personalities as well as the creative direction their wedding is taking and we become their biggest support system throughout the entire process. Our focus becomes keeping every detail organized and handled from beginning to end. Once the wedding day comes around, it’s where we get to do what we do best: execute all the plans we've created like rockstars, buffer for any hiccups that come up, and keep an eye on the flow of the day so that it all feels like an absolute dream.
VIP Wedding Day Management:
Our VIP Wedding Day Management service was created by couples just like you! For them, the Wedding Day Management service wasn't quite enough as they wanted to be able to bounce ideas off of us and work through different aspects of their big day together. So we decided to add VIP time in! With this service, you'll receive everything involved in our Wedding Day Management service plus the 5 hours of VIP time for you to do whatever you like! We can chat about any questions or areas of uncertainty that you may have, we can do a site visit to your ceremony and/or reception venue, build out your wedding day timeline that all your vendors are asking you questions about, do up a decor + design concept and pick out your colour palette together. Whatever you want to work through is what we're game for!
Wedding Day Management:
This service is like that perfect maraschino cherry on a Sundae—“the cherry on top." The Wedding Day Management service is for couples who take on the leg work of planning the wedding themselves but need someone like us to be the eye for all the details on the big day, ensuring everything runs as planned! With this service, we'll get in touch with you one month before your wedding day when you hand over the reins to us, we will roll through everything you've planned thus far, look for things you may have missed, and ensure everything is in order so that you can sit back n' RELAX! In short, we’re going to create a wildly detailed wedding day timeline + reception floorplan for you, touch base and confirm all the details with each of your wedding vendors, help set up your personal decor on the day of, and then go about producing your wedding day! Of all people, we know how much goes on for the bride and groom on a personal level going into the month before the wedding. Our goal is to allow you to be as present as possible with all the moments leading up to your wedding day, leaving the rest for our team to handle.

Hiring Joelle was hands down the best decision (and investment!) we made for our wedding.
From the very beginning, Joelle was the first person who came to mind. I loved her vibe, her portfolio, and honestly, she’s just such a fun person to be around. After our initial consult, we booked her for wedding day management and added a Joy Date to help with rentals and design. Best. Decision. Ever.
I’ll admit — I’m not the easiest client. As a natural planner, I tend to have a hard time letting go of control. But with Joelle, I didn’t have to worry for a second. Anytime I asked, “Hey, what about this?” she’d already have it handled. “Girl, I’m already on it,” became her signature line — and it let me fully relax and actually enjoy my own wedding day.
Joelle is a total expert. She brings such a unique perspective and always encourages you to think about what you actually want — not just what tradition or social media says you should do. She had so many creative ideas that ended up being guest favorites and personal highlights for us. There are so many details that simply wouldn’t have existed without her input.
Now that it’s been a little over a month since our wedding, we’ve had time to reflect — and honestly, I don’t remember a single thing going wrong. No one came to us with problems, no last-minute panic, no stress. Everything just happened flawlessly. We kept finding ourselves saying things like, “Wait, when did that get done?” or “Who handled that?” and the answer was always the same — Joelle did.
There are so many moving parts to a wedding, and having someone in your corner giving 110% to make sure your day is everything you dreamed of (and more) is truly the best gift you can give yourself. Yes, you’re paying for a service — but Joelle gives so much more than that. She’s in your corner from start to finish — helping tie ties, printing speeches, adjusting timelines, running out for extra booze, improvising décor when the weather doesn’t cooperate — you name it, she’s already on it.
I could go on forever about how incredible Joelle and her team were. If you’re on the fence about hiring a planner or spending the money — do it. It’s worth every penny and then some. Having Joelle is like gifting yourself peace of mind, laughter, and the ability to truly be present on your wedding day.

We booked the VIP Wedding Day Management package, and it was hands down the best investment we made for our wedding. Joelle’s knowledge, expertise, and incredible design eye brought everything together seamlessly. She made sure the weeks leading up to the big day were stress-free, handled every hiccup with grace, and ensured that we could be fully present and enjoy our day.
I cannot recommend Joelle enough! She is professional, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and genuinely cares about her couples. If you want to actually enjoy your wedding day, she is the one you need by your side!
