Who is eligible to participate?
The giveaway is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are 18 years of age or older and are getting married or planning to get married in Canada.
To be eligible, your wedding must take place between November 30, 2026 and October 31, 2027, and you must be a registered WeddingWire Canada user during the promotion period. You’ll also need to meet all other eligibility requirements outlined in the Official Rules
What if I already have a wedding date and it falls outside the eligible dates?
The $10,000 prize is for eligible wedding services for a wedding taking place between November 30, 2026 and October 31, 2027.
If your wedding is taking place outside of this period, expenses related to that wedding would not be eligible to be covered by the prize.
I've already signed up to WeddingWire Canada. Can I still enter the giveaway?
Yes! Existing WeddingWire Canada users can enter too.
You’ll need to register and/or log in through the applicable giveaway participation page using complete and accurate information and follow the instructions provided there.
What is included in the prize?
One winner will receive up to $10,000 CAD toward eligible services for their wedding.
The prize can be used toward a maximum of five vendors listed on the WeddingWire Canada marketplace within an eligible vendor category.
Depending on whether an eligible vendor has already been paid, WeddingWire Canada may either pay an approved vendor invoice directly or reimburse the winner for an eligible invoice that has already been paid.
How will I know if I’ve successfully entered the giveaway?
To enter, you must complete the required entry through the applicable WeddingWire Canada giveaway landing page.
The email address associated with your WeddingWire Canada account must also be verified. You may be asked to confirm your email through a verification link or other validation process. Entries submitted without a verified email address will not be eligible.
Can I enter more than once?
Yes, but there is a maximum of two entries per person.
Your first entry is earned by completing the mandatory giveaway entry.
You can earn one additional entry by making an eligible vendor inquiry through WeddingWire Canada during the Entry Period after completing your initial entry.
The vendor inquiry must be a first-time message or inquiry to a vendor listed on the WeddingWire Canada marketplace using the vendor’s lead form or messaging tool.
Only one vendor inquiry bonus entry is available per participant.
How many total entries can I receive?
You can receive a maximum of two entries:
- One entry for completing the mandatory giveaway entry
- One additional entry for completing an eligible vendor inquiry
Duplicate, edited, cancelled, automated or spam vendor leads will not qualify for an additional entry.
Can I enter if I’ve already booked some of my wedding vendors?
Yes.
If you are selected as the winner and have already paid an eligible WeddingWire Canada vendor for services related to your wedding, you may be reimbursed for eligible expenses provided you submit the required invoice and proof of payment.
The vendor must be listed on WeddingWire Canada, fall within an eligible category and meet the requirements outlined in the Official Rules. A maximum of five different vendors can be covered by the prize.
Should I wait to book my vendors until the winner is announced?
You do not need to wait to book your wedding vendors.
If you are selected as the winner, eligible services that you have already paid for may qualify for reimbursement, provided that the vendor is listed on WeddingWire Canada, the expense meets the giveaway requirements and you can provide the required invoice and proof of payment.
When does the giveaway open and close?
The giveaway opens at 9:00 a.m. EST on October 5, 2026 and closes at 12:00 a.m. EST on November 1, 2026.
Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not qualify.
When will the winner be selected?
Within five business days following the end of the giveaway, WeddingWire Canada will conduct a computer-generated random draw from all valid entries received.
One potential winner and ten alternates will be selected.
How will the winner be contacted?
The potential winner will be contacted using the contact information associated with their WeddingWire Canada account, which may include telephone or email. They may also be contacted through social media direct message if that information was provided when entering.
The potential winner must respond within two working days and complete the required eligibility and release documentation.
Is there anything I need to do before I can officially be declared the winner?
Yes.
Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance.
The potential winner will also need to complete the required Sweepstakes Release Form and provide any information reasonably requested to verify their eligibility. This may include government-issued identification and proof of their wedding date.
Is there a limit on the number of vendors I can use the $10,000 prize toward?
Yes. The prize can be used toward a maximum of five different eligible vendors listed on the WeddingWire Canada marketplace.
The total value of the prize will not exceed $10,000 CAD.
Which vendors are covered in this giveaway?
The $10,000 prize can be used toward eligible wedding vendors listed on the WeddingWire Canada marketplace, up to a maximum of five vendors.
Can the prize be used for vendors that are not listed on WeddingWire Canada?
No. In order for a vendor expense to be covered by the prize, the vendor must be listed on the WeddingWire Canada marketplace and fall within one of the eligible vendor categories.
Invoices from vendors that are not listed on WeddingWire Canada are not eligible for payment or reimbursement under the giveaway.
If I win, can I still use vendors that are not listed on WeddingWire Canada if I pay for them myself?
Yes. The giveaway rules govern which expenses can be covered by the $10,000 prize.
You can still choose other vendors for your wedding, but expenses for vendors that do not meet the giveaway requirements would not be eligible to be paid or reimbursed as part of the prize.
Can I use the $10,000 for a wedding outside of Canada?
No. To qualify for the giveaway, you must be getting married or planning to get married in Canada.
The prize is intended for eligible vendor services connected to that Canadian wedding.
Will I get to choose the date of my wedding?
Yes, provided your wedding takes place within the eligible period of November 30, 2026 through October 31, 2027.
Your wedding will also need to meet all other eligibility requirements in the Official Rules.
What happens if the vendors I want are already booked?
You can choose other eligible vendors listed on WeddingWire Canada.
To be covered by the prize, your vendor expenses must meet the requirements outlined in the Official Rules, including being connected to your eligible wedding and being with vendors listed on the WeddingWire Canada marketplace.
What if a vendor I have already booked changes their pricing?
For an expense that you have already paid, reimbursement is based on the eligible vendor invoice and related proof of payment you submit, subject to the requirements and overall $10,000 CAD prize limit.
WeddingWire Canada retains discretion over whether an invoice qualifies for payment or reimbursement.
How does payment of the prize work?
There are two possible ways eligible expenses may be covered.
If an eligible vendor has not yet been paid, you can submit the vendor invoice to WeddingWire Canada. Once approved, WeddingWire Canada will pay eligible invoices within 45 days of receipt.
If you have already paid an eligible vendor, WeddingWire Canada can reimburse you to your nominated bank account within 45 days of receiving the invoice, acceptable proof of payment and the required winner information.
All reimbursement requests and supporting documentation must be submitted within 30 days of your wedding date.
Do I receive the $10,000 as a cash payment?
No. The prize is provided through payment of eligible vendor invoices or reimbursement of eligible vendor expenses, up to a total value of $10,000 CAD.
The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for a cash equivalent, except where WeddingWire Canada determines that a substitution is necessary due to prize unavailability or circumstances outside its control.
Is the prize transferable? If I win but don’t want it, can I give it to an engaged friend or family member?
No. The prize is non-transferable.
If you know someone who is eligible, however, you can share the giveaway with them so they can submit their own entry during the Entry Period.
What happens if I don’t respond when WeddingWire Canada contacts me?
Potential winners must respond within two working days.
If a selected entrant does not respond in time, does not meet the eligibility requirements, does not complete the required forms or does not accept the prize, they will forfeit the prize and WeddingWire Canada will contact an alternate selected entrant.
What information could I be asked to provide if I win?
WeddingWire Canada may request information needed to verify your eligibility and fulfill the prize.
This can include proof of identity, proof of your wedding date, proof of address, government-issued photo identification, vendor invoices and proof of payment.
What happens after my wedding?
If you are requesting reimbursement for eligible vendor expenses, all reimbursement requests and supporting documentation must be submitted within 30 days of your wedding date.
WeddingWire Canada may also separately ask whether you consent to the use of wedding images, video or testimonials for promotional purposes. Any such promotional use requires separate consent, and declining to provide that consent will not affect your right to receive the prize.
