We booked a wedding at the Vancouver Maritime Museum for this past summer which included a contract for Emelle's Catering. They then provided Nicole, our organiser, who helped us understand everything about this big undertaking and who was just amazing to work with. They did not just the catering but also organised the furniture, the table linens and platings, and any music or alcohol licensing.

Their catering of course included a tasting, where they fed you a full serving of the courses you chose. If there were things that you wanted changed, then you came back for a full serving of those changes. We only had to go twice to find a menu we loved. Our guests agreed, all the canape's were a hit especially the Pork Belly and the Un-tuna, but the Potato Souffle at dinner stole the show!

We opted for the Poutine Bar add-on, which also was a huge hit, even more-so when guests realised that they could take it in to-go containers as it was a late-night snack.

We loved the taste of the food, but even more than that, we loved how responsive they were to our dietary needs. Our wedding was 100% gluten free, and we had guests with a variety of dietary restrictions, including an Alpha-gal and Arfid, and Emelle's was able to accommodate everyone. They were great to work with and we felt safe and comfortable with them as our caterer.

We opted to go with another vendor for cakes (a gluten free bakery that we love) and to bring our own alcohol, but Emelle's was still the staff that cut the cakes and tended the bar. The staff at the wedding was great. Everything was served in a timely manner and they were very good at getting the 'dietary restriction meals' to the individuals at the same time the rest of their table would go to the buffet.

The furniture and table linens/settings was pretty straight-forward as Nicole was able to design a space that we both liked. And when we did have a last minute linens panic, we were able to meet with her at the warehouse to make a decision. In fact, there were so many times that we emailed her asking how to do something related to the wedding (such as alcohol license) that she said was already covered. She was very responsive and helpful, and doing this wedding without Emelle's would have been 100 times more stressful.

Wouldn’t have been the same night without them. It was magical.

Emelles did an absolutely amazing job catering our September wedding. Nicole was great at working with us to create a menu that we were in love with. We ended up being offered two tastings just to ensure that all menu changes from the first were to our taste. On the day of, food was absolutely superb and our guests loved it as well. There were a lot of compliments, especially for the Mac and Cheese. The catering staff were also excellent, getting everything prepared, set up, served, and coordinated.

Overall it was a great experience, there were a few minor things I would have liked done that didn't happen, but our guests were thrilled with the food and presentation. The service was great as well.

We used Emelle’s for a buffet style dinner for our backyard wedding (60 people) and had a great experience. The food was great, lots of options and we enjoyed the tasting experience and flexibility of the menu. They were also very flexible and worked with us to design the right package (we hired rentals from another company and also supplied our own alcohol and mixers). But the part we were most blown away from was the service staff. We had two servers, a supervisor, and a bartender and they were all amazing. The servers went above and beyond to clear plates and even helped us stack away tables and chairs which we had ordered through a separate rental company. We also had a guest leave an expensive pair of designer glasses on a table which were safely put aside by the servers when they cleared the tables, would have been a really easy thing to pocket so we appreciated the honesty. While I didn’t catch the name of the servers, the bartender (Shauna) was amazing. All of our guests so enjoyed her company and she was so professional and tolerant of all the affectionate and friendly guests who probably talked her ears off. Our guests all had nothing but positive things to say about her and her bar service. Would definitely use Emelle’s again for future events and recommend for a wedding like ours!

Emelle's were amazing to work with. They listened to our ideas and came up with beautiful looking and tasting food stations for our wedding! Our wedding venue works exclusively with Emelle's, and we are so glad they do! They have been one of the top catering services in Vancouver for decades for a reason. They stuck with us for over 3 years as we planned and re-planned our COVID-delayed wedding, always open to our changing needs and tastes (we went from a vegetarian menu, to a mix, to no cake, to adding a cake...). They also prepared us a mini version of our wedding meal on the day of our first planned wedding (May 2020, cancelled due to COVID) that we could pick up and eat at home. These thoughtful touches made a rough time still feel special.

Nicole is a wonderful point of contact. Her knowledge of the industry meant she was able to make great suggestions regarding decor and late night snacks, and she was always available to answer any questions we had. The food is delicious and creative, and really does have something for everyone. We had a buffet with a mix of vegetarian and non-veg options, but also had one vegan guest. They prepared her a separate meal and her own set of sides to make sure everything was meat-, dairy- and egg-free. We got lots of compliments on the food, and the service as well! Overall a great night after a long wait, and we know a lot of that positive experience is thanks to Nicole and her team at Emelle's.

They provided a fantastic trial run, so that we could taste what would be serving.
on the wedding day, the catering team was efficient in their setup and execution. Also, we rented bartenders from them and these two gentleman went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. I was pleasantly suprised at how much of a team effort Emelle's put in. I was expecting them to provide the food, but they went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day ran smoothly.

I can't say enough good things about Nicole and the staff at Emelle's. We hired them for our wedding and couldn't be happier.

We wanted a unique and tasty menu, including an Indian taco buffet. Not only did the chefs exceed our expectations, but the prices were also very fair. Other caterers, who were less flexible with their options, offered less food for the same amount of money, if not more.

Nicole in particular went above and beyond what we could expect from a caterer. She helped order items that we wanted as party favors, gave us great advice, and also helped us deal with a disagreement with our venue.

I would recommend Emelles for any event, and hope to get a chance to hire them again in the near future.
