Chau is incredible! Chef Jane, Ashley and their team were amazing to work with; from menu ideation, tasting, presentation and service on our wedding day. Everything was amazing. Chau also partners with a event rental company, helping us streamline our process acquiring tables and chairs.

Chef Jane’s all vegan menu ideas were SO GOOD. Between the beautiful (still all vegan) charcuterie spread, cold noodle salad ending with “pulled pork” and vegan mapo tofu bao. Our friends still rave about how good everything tasted.

On our wedding day, Ashley and their team were excellent. The team was super fast, easy to work with and had amazing attention to detail; they even helped us our dessert display from a 3rd party. Ashley’s check in as her team wrapped up for the night was something we both appreciated: Ashley was super clear about what had gotten done and anything that remained to do on our end.

My husband and I are both Chinese and big food enjoyers. We love contemporary foods that bring new exciting flavors to the palate and fusion dishes that encompasses flavors we enjoy from different cultures. Chau catering team did that justice for our wedding day! It is typical that most Chinese weddings would include a standard 12-course meal that many are familiar with. We knew that we did not want that for ourselves but somehow showcase our love for food and each other to shine. We did google searches for catering and Chau was the first to pop up (and for good reason!). We read many reviews about how they create custom menus for each couple depending on what they wanted or their cultural background, and we felt like it was a good fit for ourselves. Working with Jane and her team has been wonderful as they are transparent, quick to respond, and organized. We were one of the first few couples to use this new portal system that allowed for organized communication and I would say that helped the process a lot because I knew where to go if I needed information! The portal helped organize our invoices, any attachments that were sent, and organized emails based on the topics. Jane and her team love to plan ahead which is music to my ears as a type A person who also loves to stay ahead of the game when possible. However, if we were limited on waiting for other vendors to reply to us, they were flexible in giving us time to correspond back to them. I am so grateful too for the opportunity to have a tasting session before the big day! We pointed out things that we loved and food items that needed to be swapped out. We even presented details we thought weren't possible but Jane said yes to it all! For example, we had a truffle siu mai as a canape but we thought could use a little boost. My MIL asked if it was maybe possible to have a little bit of broth to be added. Jane said yes and thought immediately to use little spoons for the siu mai to sit in the broth. These tiny details made such an impact to be during the process of wedding planning. Jane, also having been in the industry, helped provide pointers on things that we didn't think about for reception such as timing for each course as to not collide with entertainment, etc. We were also very grateful for her expertise in that too. On the actual wedding day, our food was absolutely amazing! Whenever we had a chance to speak with guests about food, it was nothing but good reviews. Our guests loved that it wasn't a traditional course, and that it was something new and exciting that they haven't seen before. Guests have also mentioned to us that they were beyond full and kept trying to eat more because it was all so tasty! My husband and I shared a similar sentiment as we were very full after cocktail hour and the first course. We nibbled on some of our second course and eventually asked for a goodie bag to pack away some food for us to enjoy days later! Which, might I add, was somehow still just as delicious and flavorful even after being microwaved again- haha! We are so proud of our menu and that couldn't have happened without Jane and her team at Chau catering. We had several guests with severe allergies or dietary restrictions that were easily managed by the team as well. One of our guest had a very sensitive condition that limited their ability to eat most foods, and even then, Jane adjusted the menu accordingly so that they could enjoy the food equally as much. This was another detail that was greatly appreciated because it showed how much they go the extra mile to ensure the wedding day food was enjoyed and loved by all. A final note to add is the amount of options that were provided as well. Jane's expertise starts from cocktail hour canapes, to main courses, to even station bars depending on what the couple wanted. We were so excited to have a late night ramen bar at our wedding. After the dancing, many guests were happy to have a quick nibble of noodles and some gourmet toppings as a little treat to end the night. I am so grateful for this because it meant we didn't have to source out another vendor to have it happen! All in all, we cannot thank Chau catering team enough for making our wedding menu so unique, but also going the extra mile in so many ways as well. I highly recommend to anyone considering an outside caterer to provide a unique menu for you with tons of options- with the only limiting factor being how much you can eat in one night!

As we all know, food and beverage are one of the most important parts of a wedding and what the guests will remember! The service that we received could not have been more perfect for what we were looking for. Our guests still cannot stop talking about the amazing food and signature cocktails that we served at the wedding!

On the day of the wedding, there was a little hiccup with rain right before our (untented) ceremony/reception. Our amazing vendors, including Chau, somehow found a way to make everything work and Chau's team was instrumental in this.

We hosted an elegant backyard wedding for 70 guests Sept 2023. We were looking for catering that was creative, interesting and delicious. Chau absolutely delivered! Our menu was Vietnemese/Mexican inspired. Jane and her team were accommodating and excellent throughout the whole process. We also especially appreciated the modifications that they made for allergies and particular eaters. They even brought out a special plate for my father, which was so helpful! They also saved a plate of appetizers for us (the bride and groom) which was so helpful. They also were flexible and willing to make our kitchen set up work, which saved us thousands of dollars.

On the day of the wedding, Chau brought a fun and classy touch to our event with their excellent servers and bartenders. Their service manager, Ashley, was also awesome and made me feel at ease throughout the evening. The value and execution of their service is unparalleled. This whole experience made me wish that I worked in weddings so that I could hire them again.

We are so happy and grateful to have worked with Jane, Ashley and their team! Wish we could relive (and re-eat) it all over again :D Thank you so much Chau!

Working with the team at Chau was amazing! We met with a lot of different caterers when we were planning our wedding, and Chau immediately stood out to us. We had an initial call with Jane where we discussed our food tastes, backgrounds, etc and she planned a menu for us that played off of our cultural backgrounds and the things we liked, but also remained open and neutral enough that all of our guests would also love the meal.

I have to say that the real stand out from our wedding though was the staff that Chau brought in. The servers and bartenders were truly so incredibly kind and awesome. A couple of them helped my husband and I pack things into the car at the end of the night which they absolutely didn't have to do and they were so fun to talk to and just seemed to be having a great time right along with us throughout the night.

Jane and her team were also so supportive leading up to the wedding. When things were getting the most stressful, they really stepped up helping us figure out how much alcohol we needed to buy, planning our signature cocktails, helping with rentals, etc. I couldn't believe how helpful they were. The team is incredible, the food is incredible, we're so happy that we decided to go with Chau for our wedding!

From the first interaction Chau has been good to us. Finding the perfect menu for us and our dream day. To accommodating are unique requests. And even helping make the experience lovely for all my guest and other vendors. Would happily recommend and work with them again and again!

We really enjoyed the Asian fusion flavours and food. Jane was very friendly, professional and helpful.

Chau recommended us a very good menu. All the guests loved the food. She came on time and served the wedding with a very professional manner. She is extremely friendly too.

We contacted Jane at Chau to cater our backyard wedding reception for 60 guests. We were blown away by how amazing the food was! Not a single guest didn't come up to us to rave about how delicious the food was and that it was easily the best food that they'd had at a wedding! Jane was great to communicate with and accommodating for changes we had for the menu. Her and her team also managed to do it all in a residential kitchen, the food was served hot, and it was perfectly cooked. All the dishes were familiar enough for the pickiest guests, but adventurous enough that everyone was excited to go back for seconds. Jane was also extremely collaborative and accommodating when our dates and plans were changing constantly due to COVID restrictions and the service went off safely and smoothly. If I ever get married again, you can bet I'll be calling on Jane and the team at Chau!

Chau was everything we could ask for in a caterer for our wedding of about 180 guests.
Firstly, the food: Chef Jane has a scrumptious Asian fusion menu that we were in love with at first sight, we had a tough time narrowing down the menu for our hors d'oevres and buffet style dinner.
Second, the service: Chau was amazingly flexible and accommodating with our specific requests. We had a variety of options for halal dishes, vegetarian, and gluten free. Jane Peters, the business manager, was also so sweet and put aside the hors d'oeuvres for us during cocktail hour because they knew we would get so busy and likely miss out otherwise. At the end of the night they also provided the two of us with our own personalized late night snacks.
Thirdly, logistics: Chau was very professional, thorough, and knowledgeable in working with our venue and asking the right questions so that things would run smoothly on the day of.
Lastly, aesthetics: the food looked great! We had some Korean chicken poppers that were served in compostable cones which were so cute and we loved the environmentally sustainable aspect. Chau also provided us with cute, custom to our theme, signs for each buffet dish.
We're looking forward to holding another event when we can get them to cater for us again.

We got so many compliments on our food! Chau came up with a wonderful custom, all vegetarian menu for us that we just loved. Two food stations: a bao stand and a dumpling stand, plus a salad station and passed appetizers. Plus they staffed our bar with a great bartender who whipped up our custom cocktail menu expertly. It was nothing like any other wedding food we've ever had and it was all super delicious. Highly recommended.
