Chau is a women-led catering company based out of Toronto, Ontario. Here at Chau, we strive to offer unique, creative, and personalized options for your wedding. In addition to designing the perfect menu for each couple, we also offer innovative corporate catering, supper clubs and food pop-up services throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Cuisine
Jane Tran is the executive chef and founder of Chau. Jane has over 15 years of culinary experience in Michelin and fine-dining restaurants across the world, including New York City and London. She has established and upholds the highest standards for executing exceptional flavours, preparation, presentation and service. Although Jane holds a special place in her heart for pan-Asian cuisines, Chef Tran’s other specialties include American, barbeque, French, Italian, and Southern cuisines.

We pride ourselves on working closely with clients to create custom menus that reflect the couple’s and guests’ personality, style, favourite foods, and dietary needs.
On the day of your wedding we will deliver, set up, provide efficient and unobtrusive service, and clean up our site once the guests are full and happy. We are delighted to offer delicious fare in the following service styles:

Hi, I’m Jane. Well Jane 1 to be exact. I’m the culinary brains behind Chau and have been working in the food industry, basically all of my life. I love attending weddings, but loathe the traditional wedding food. I have a passion for creating custom menus which reflect the couple getting married. When I got married to my husband, we found it impossible to find a caterer which could create a custom Scottish/English and Vietnamese/Chinese menu which reflect our heritage. In the end, I catered my own wedding (yup that's me all dolled up with a butchers apron carving our roast) and decided then and there, that I would specialize in creating custom wedding menus which reflect each couple’s unique ethnicity & palates.

I've been in the event planning and coordination scene for a solid 3 years now, working tirelessly to create unforgettable moments for people. Recently, I've redirected my focus to the exciting world of catering and weddings, after spending over 2 years in the vibrant hospitality industry. I’ve only attended 2 weddings - both my own - so I come to the wedding catering business with no bad habits. I have always been fascinated with how excellent food affects mood and elevates celebrations. Seeing people relish something that I have helped to craft for them (in whatever capacity) creates a feeling for me that is difficult to describe - I have been honoured to nourish you and be involved in your special moment.
