I am the owner and Lead Hairstylist of Freebird Beauty Co (Formerly Candice Jones Hairstyling) My love of all things hair and makeup began when I was a child, developed in high school and flourished once my friends began getting married and going to special events! Starting this business was always something I wanted to do, so after my son was born, it was the perfect time to take a leap of faith and start. This is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m blown away by the support of my family, friends, and wonderful clients. I never could’ve imagined how much happier I would be doing what I love. Updos are my favourite hairstyles to do, and I love working with brides to create a custom look they can wear confidently on their wedding day! Making women look and feel beautiful is so rewarding! In my spare time, I’m usually spending time with my husband and two beautiful kids, baking, drinking coffee or planning the future.

I’m Lindsey - I'm the Co-owner and Lead Makeup Artist at Freebird Beauty Co (Formerly Candice Jones Hairstyling). I have been very fortunate in my almost decade-long career to work in many aspects of the beauty industry, from television, editorial to theatre and fashion. Somewhere through all this, I found a happy forever home with wedding and beauty makeup. There is something magical that happens when you have the ability to make other women feel confident, strong and beautiful. In return, I’m gifted with feeling inspired and empowered by working with so many amazing women. This is where I feel I am meant to be in my career. This is what gives me the most joy. I feel particularly drawn to more natural looks. Enhancing your natural beauty with a heavy focus on skin and drawing out your inner glow is my absolute favourite. My goal is to have you looking and feeling like you, with just a pop of colour here and there!
