Fun and Unique Venue

After looking at plenty of venues in Vancouver, we chose the maritime museum and are THRILLED with how it all came out. The location could not be better, right above Kits Beach, and our vows took place in view of the inlet and the mountains.

When you choose them, you are also signing a contract with Emelle's catering and you will get a coordinator that can help you organise food, furniture, table settings, music and bar licensing. Having that all through one place just made planning easy!

We had the outside area for dinner and dancing, and the TeeKay room as a quiet space for our older guests, and younger guests. It was important to us that guests could escape the noise and be able to have conversations or an area to unwind, this is one of the few places we found that had this setup. And as it is a museum, it is also very accessible to all levels of mobility, which was necessary for our guest list.

We added on the ship tours, and it was well worth it, the kids at the wedding loved exploring the boat (along with the adults!) and the docent was knowledgeable and fun. Definitely made for a unique add-on for a wedding.

The location also meant that we were able to arrive to the wedding by ferry, which just added to the day! We did have to rent a bus for our guests as it is not on public transportation, but that was an extra expense that we knew going in and our guests appreciated.

As for the wedding itself, all staff were wonderful. We were able to bring any supplies earlier in the day and pick them up the following day. We really enjoyed working with this venue.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
