Host a romantic wedding ceremony in the outdoor garden area of the University Golf Club, located in Vancouver, British Columbia. This unique venue offers on-site ceremony space complete with a brand new pergola, updated reception rooms, banquet services, and photography space. Lovely trees, a bridge, a pond with a stream, and our new pergola all enhance the beauty of the garden area.
Facilities and Capacity
With 4000 square feet of recently updated event space, the University Golf Club is ideal for hosting intimate and large gatherings. Each of the two brilliant banquet rooms features its own private patio and built-in dance floor. The 2,400-square-foot Salon can accommodate 100-200 guests for a seated reception and up to 225 for a cocktail reception. The 1,600-square-foot Westpoint Room can entertain up to 50-90 guests for a seated reception and 100 for a cocktail reception.

With over 27 years of experience, the excellent Events Manager will assist you in customizing your event to reflect your unique style and personality. Complimentary wedding services include:
- White table linen for all tables
- Coordinating linen napkins (choice of 14 color options)
- Cutlery, dinnerware, and glassware
- Gift table, DJ table, guest book table, and cake table
- 2 oil lamp glass candles per table
- Use of a cake knife & toasting glasses
- 2 Reserved parking spaces and complimentary parking for the remainder of the guests

Cuisine
Couples can choose from plated, buffet, or cocktail reception menus offered by the in-house executive Chef. Our Chef is happy to customize menus according to the client's preferred taste and style, including mouth-watering appetizers, salads, desserts, entrees, taco bars, slider stations, and more.
Other Services
The club is ideal for hosting other wedding-related events, including ceremonies and receptions. Consider celebrating your engagement party, rehearsal dinner, and bridal shower here. For the golf lovers in the family, have our Events Manager book some pre-wedding golf with apres-golf reservations in our Westward Ho! Public House and Grill room.

Above and beyond!!
Joni and the team at UGC truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect!! Throughout the whole experience from our initial inquiry all the way up to even after our wedding ended, they really made us feel so cared for and special. I'm a very type A individual and had a million questions through the entire process and Joni was always so responsive and helpful! From working so seamlessly with our other vendors, to making accommodations as needed, to bringing up things we never would have considered or thought of, Joni really knows what she is doing and is so amazing at what she does!!! UGC is great in that the venue provides tables, chairs, linens, plates, cutlery ect. and this was so important for us as it took so much stress off our hands knowing this was all taken care of including the set up and take down of these items. On top of that, Joni was able to take on and coordinate add ons we wanted such as chair covers and a different colour aisle for the ceremony and the fact that it was such an easy and smooth process made wedding planning that much more fun for us! Joni and the team truly truly went above and beyond what we could've asked for and we were in such good hands!!! Booking UGC for our venue was the best decision we made, the staff working our wedding night were so attentive and friendly! The thing I am most grateful for is that UGC has a beautiful garden for outdoor ceremonies - we had a fall wedding on a rainy day and until less than a couple hours from our ceremony start time, there was rain. Joni was so on top of keeping us informed and updated on the rain plan and fortunately had several plans ready to go dependent on weather. Fortunately the rain stopped but it was cutting it so close to our ceremony time yet somehow Joni and her team managed to get everything set up to proceed with our plan A (the garden) which we really did not expect would work out... words cannot express our gratitude for Joni and her entire team for being so attentive, professional, and easy to work with. I would recommend UGC 10000x over to anyone looking for a venue!!

University Golf Club is a beautiful venue. We rented the Salon dining room with access to a stunning patio, which guests enjoyed during cocktail hour or as a quiet spot to chat during the dance party. My husband and I also took advantage of UGC’s gorgeous garden area (which is normally used for wedding ceremonies) for our evening photos. The dining room, patio, and garden were all well maintained.
The pricing at UGC is highly competitive compared to other venues and golf clubs we considered. While some golf clubs had similar pricing, UGC consistently offered better value. For example, UGC’s buffet menu included more food items, whereas other venues sometimes offered fewer options at a similar price point. This made UGC’s offering feel much more generous and well worth the cost.
We primarily worked with Joni, the Event Manager, throughout the planning process. Joni was incredibly prompt with responding to emails—she’s professional, knowledgeable, and always on top of things. You can tell she has a wealth of experience in the industry, so you can rest easy knowing you're in great hands.
The food was SO GOOD. Our guests are still raving about the steak and mushroom ravioli (even four weeks after the wedding!). The buffet offered such a great selection that many tables went back for seconds. Even our DJ commented on how delicious everything was. The rest of the staff was equally great—professional, attentive, and friendly.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience at UGC. We have zero complaints and would recommend booking your wedding or event here.

Absolutely love University Golf Club and the team!
We absolutely loved having our wedding at UGC – if we could do it again every weekend, we would!
From start to finish, the entire team made the process so smooth and enjoyable. Joni, the venue manager, was incredible. She was responsive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. Joni helped us with everything from planning logistics to last-minute questions, and truly put our minds at ease. On the day of, her and the staff executed everything exactly as we had envisioned, from the custom table numbers to the table setup to the outdoor ceremony, all done promptly and beautifully.
The venue itself is stunning! Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were perfect, and the garden made for a truly magical backdrop. We received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful everything looked.
And the food! I only had time to eat about three of the mushroom raviolis (wedding-day chaos) but they were delicious. So many of our guests raved about the food, and one even asked if the ravioli is served at the restaurant because they loved it so much. I saw so many people going for seconds and thirds, I wish I had more time to eat!
Every single staff member we encountered was so lovely, helpful, and kind – it really made a difference in creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Special thanks to Jonathan, the banquet manager, and Rob, our lead bartender, who took such great care of us throughout the day and night.

Highly Recommend UGC!
I cannot recommend the University Golf Club enough! We had an amazing experience hosting our November wedding reception here, and everything went off seamlessly. With about 130 guests and no planner or day-of coordinator, we were impressed by how smooth and stress-free the entire process was, thanks to the team at UGC. When searching for a venue in Vancouver, UGC stood out as unbeatable in both value and quality. The free parking for guests was also a huge bonus.
We chose the deluxe buffet, and our guests absolutely loved the food. UGC was incredibly accommodating with dietary restrictions, ensuring everyone had not only options but great options.
Joni, the event coordinator, was fantastic to work with. A true professional with a wealth of experience, she guided us confidently through the planning process. We only met with her once, but that meeting was enough to finalize most of the decisions for the event. Joni and her team were organized, flexible, and highly responsive to our last-minute questions and changes. Joni allowed us to set up early, and the staff made clean-up effortless. Every staff member at UGC was wonderful and played a big role in the event’s success.
The venue includes all of the basics so hardly any additional vendors are needed. That said, UGC was more than accommodating when we brought in our photobooth and audio guestbook from Lit Photobooth (https://www.litphotobooth.ca), which added a fun and personal touch to the evening.

Perfect Venue!
We looked long and hard for a venue that wasn't too big (50 guests) and also worth the price! UGC turned out perfect: food was exceptional, service was solid, and the event manager Joni was priceless! We felt we could ask any question and get responses quickly. Everything was laid out in detail beforehand and carried through on the wedding day. We were able to visit the venue multiple times to get information for our vendors. We were given great attention and care and felt we could really create the day we wanted. The ceremony space is also very lovely! We honestly have no complaints. I would do it again if I could!

Magical night of our life
Absolutely stunning wedding venue! The ambiance was enchanting, the staff incredibly attentive, and every detail was flawlessly executed. The outdoor ceremony site was so beautifully maintained, and dreamy. The food was delicious, we got so many compliments!

Dreamy wedding venue!
We had an incredible experience getting married at UGC. We were looking for somewhere surrounded by big majestic trees, and ideally some water - UGC's gazebo area with the quaint little creek babbling around it was idyllic! Joni let us take pictures on the first tee at sunset and they came out stunning - captured the natural, green, whimsical vibe perfectly.
Despite the golf course not being closed to the public, the whole wedding ceremony and reception still felt very private.
Working with Joni during the planning phase was smooth and easy, and on the day-of, Diksha and Justin worked seamlessly with our coordinator to make the day (and night) go smoothly without a single obstacle. The food was DELECTABLE - we weren't able to do a tasting ahead of time so we were a little bit worried that we didn't know what the quality would be like -but have no fear, the banquet chef is phenomenal (very different from the food in the pub at the clubhouse). Our guests still talk about how good it was (and a year later, the groom still talks about the scalloped potatoes!).
If you want a peaceful, natural setting for a ceremony and a fun, delicious, and majestic reception, UGC will certainly deliver! 10/10 would recommend.

Beyond expectations
We had a 5 stars experience while planning and hosting our wedding at UGC. We value the flexibility and willigness to attend our specific needs. The attention to details was remarkable and their garden is just stunning. High Quality food and a beautiful environment for a reasonable price. We had a first booking experience with another vendor for our wedding and during that planning process we felt tense because of the many demands of the venue. At UGC we had a totally different experience. We felt the support of the staff to create our special day just as we wanted, and working side by side with us to overcome the challenges of covid and weather. Thanks for providing an excellent events/banquet service with a high sense of empathy and sensitivity.
