Amazing Experience

My wife and I held an in town afternoon wedding celebration at the University Golf Club for our son and his bride as a follow up to their Cancun destination wedding. We had about 75 guests. We can’t say enough about the entire experience! We would highly recommend this venue for a wedding celebration. Firstly, Joni, the events coordinator is outstanding! We knew we were in good hands after meeting with her. She knows her stuff! Everything was planned flawlessly with no stones left unturned. The food was exceptional. We chose a dinner buffet option for our lunch. It included appetizers and a cheese platter. We had many compliments from our guests regarding the food. The staff were outstanding! I had young man named Aidon assigned as the point person. He made sure everything ran smoothly and checked with me throughout the afternoon. The staff kept the drinks flowing, served the appetizers and food, and basically kept our guests very happy. The room and tables were setup beautifully. They accommodated a podium and mic for speeches, TV for running wedding pictures, sign in table for guests and an area for a caricaturist to draw pictures of our guests. We also had an open bar that was conveniently located right in the room.

My wife and I are very pleased that we held our celebration here. Everything was perfect! Thank you Joni, Aidon and the rest of the staff for making our son’s wedding celebration a wonderful and memorable experience.

Magical night of our life

Absolutely stunning wedding venue! The ambiance was enchanting, the staff incredibly attentive, and every detail was flawlessly executed. The outdoor ceremony site was so beautifully maintained, and dreamy. The food was delicious, we got so many compliments!
Big thank you to Joni, she is an exceptional wedding coordinator. A true professional who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommend!
Our special day was nothing short of magical thanks to this exceptional venue, Joni, and all the staff!

Dreamy wedding venue!

We had an incredible experience getting married at UGC. We were looking for somewhere surrounded by big majestic trees, and ideally some water - UGC's gazebo area with the quaint little creek babbling around it was idyllic! Joni let us take pictures on the first tee at sunset and they came out stunning - captured the natural, green, whimsical vibe perfectly.
Despite the golf course not being closed to the public, the whole wedding ceremony and reception still felt very private.
Working with Joni during the planning phase was smooth and easy, and on the day-of, Diksha and Justin worked seamlessly with our coordinator to make the day (and night) go smoothly without a single obstacle. The food was DELECTABLE - we weren't able to do a tasting ahead of time so we were a little bit worried that we didn't know what the quality would be like -but have no fear, the banquet chef is phenomenal (very different from the food in the pub at the clubhouse). Our guests still talk about how good it was (and a year later, the groom still talks about the scalloped potatoes!).
If you want a peaceful, natural setting for a ceremony and a fun, delicious, and majestic reception, UGC will certainly deliver! 10/10 would recommend.

6/5 Stars!

We had such a great experience having our wedding at UBC Golf Club! We worked with Joni who was so professional and organized, it's easy to tell she has a lot of experience in this industry. We had to postpose a couple of times due to Covid, but Joni was so accommodating and made everything very stress free. The venue, especially the outside ceremony area with the gazebo, is stunning. The food was amazing, we got so many compliments on how good the dinner was! There were so many food options and it was all fantastic. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and helped to ensure everything went smoothly. My husband literally told me if he could give this venue 6/5 stars he would lol we can't recommend this venue enough!

Beyond expectations

We had a 5 stars experience while planning and hosting our wedding at UGC. We value the flexibility and willigness to attend our specific needs. The attention to details was remarkable and their garden is just stunning. High Quality food and a beautiful environment for a reasonable price. We had a first booking experience with another vendor for our wedding and during that planning process we felt tense because of the many demands of the venue. At UGC we had a totally different experience. We felt the support of the staff to create our special day just as we wanted, and working side by side with us to overcome the challenges of covid and weather. Thanks for providing an excellent events/banquet service with a high sense of empathy and sensitivity.

Beautiful venue & Amazing Service

We are very pleased to have our reception at UGC! We had a church wedding but we rented the gazebo to have our cocktail hour where guests can enjoy some acoustic music and rented some fun lawn games ! Joni, the wedding coordinator, is very accommodating and professional! She answered all our inquiries and made sure that everything is set up on the actual wedding day! The venue is soo beautiful and guests are raving how great the food is! Thank you so much Joni !

Unbelievably Amazing

Joni & the whole team are absolutely amazing! We had the best experience getting to our day and on our wedding day everything went so smoothly! The food is 10/10 - I have guest still talking about the food! My husband and I are so thankful we found Joni and chose this venue.

Incredible! Absolutely incredible!

Everything was absolutely perfect and the team at University Golf Club were a pleasure to work with. First class! The venue was magical and we lost count of the guests who were still commenting on how amazing the food was, even weeks after the wedding!

Beautiful venue and wonderful staff!

When we first saw the ceremony site at University Golf Club, we knew it was the perfect venue for us, with the cute gazebo, little bridge over a stream, and the beautiful gardens. Joni, UGC’s Events Coordinator, was always quick to respond to our emails whether it was by email or phone. She was organized and always provided clear information, whether it was for our wedding specifically or the wedding tasting event. The Banquet Team, led by Naser and Tom, was also splendid. They were polite and efficient at our wedding reception and Tom in particular was very friendly to us and our guests. The quality of the food was exceptional! Everything from the canapes to the prime rib to the late night tacos was delicious. Overall, we’re very pleased with the beautiful venue and the wonderful staff - highly recommended!
