Ben and I just wanted to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks for playing such a large role in making our traditional wedding ceremony so wonderful. We really had the best day and night and you were truly integral to this. You were thorough, detail oriented and always so approachable. You worked so hard to work with us to find exactly what our family needed, whilst doing all this for us from afar as most of us were not in Toronto. We were all absolutely floored arriving at the venue and seeing the absolute magnificence you had organized for us. We wanted a planner who would really listen to our ideas for our big day and help us bring it to life. Kauna Events did an amazing job, even with some serious curveballs thrown at us during the planning and on the day of the wedding. Working with Kauna Events remains one of the best decisions that we made during the entire wedding planning period. Uneku was very professional, listened attentively to what we wanted, did her very best to carry out our wishes to the letter, worked very well with all our vendors - while planning an overseas wedding. Uneku was very patient with all the changes we had to make - date, venue, vendor changes - she took it all in her strides and gave us her very best. Her on-the-day coordination was executed beautifully, we didn't have to sweat the big or little stuffs. Uneku and her team handled all the details excellently. Uneku is a lovely wedding planner. Her bright spirit and awesome organizational skills took away so much stress in the wedding planning process. She listened to what we wanted and provided us with many options for wedding professionals and vendors. I need to mention that practically all of our wedding planning was done virtually (my fiancé and I were not in the Country/Province of our wedding venue) and despite that, our communication was clear and all the vendors and wedding professionals organized for us met our needs and we felt she went the extra mile for us. We had a great experience working with her and would recommend her to everyone. -

I am so glad you dropped by.
My name is Uneku and I am the founder and lead planner of Kauna Events. I am a certified wedding planner with the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC).
My love for event planning started out as a hobby in boarding school; planning award nights for classmates. It continued into college where I was a part of the Student Ambassadors team – we were responsible for planning social events and hosting international visitors to the university.
I graduated from McGill University with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and over the years I have gained valuable work experience in the administration and social service fields; all the while planning and coordinating numerous events and parties for family and friends. My educational background and professional experience have helped to refine my organizational and people skills.
Most of all, I absolutely enjoy planning weddings, and still cannot find the words to describe the joy I experience whenever I get the opportunity to witness two very different individuals committing to a lifetime of oneness – It’s best described as a glimpse of heaven on earth.
Friends and family will tell you that I am a cheery and creative individual with a keen sense of organisation as well as an eye for detail. I believe that your event is as unique as you are and as such take the opportunity to create with you an affair that is exceptionally personable, original and fun. I personally believe in going the extra mile and paying attention to details; when it comes to planning and coordinating weddings I truly believe that

On a personal note, I am a wife to an amazing and supportive husband who has the sweetest smile ever:). In my leisure time, you’ll find me playing board/card games with family and friends, tickling my husband, and watching the latest historical South Korean romance series (blame it on my brother and Drama Fever). I am inspired by beautiful skies, long walks, dimples, and my husband’s eyes.
