Meet Eman Abderrahman

I started GEM Event Planning to give couples and families something I care about deeply: the freedom to be fully present at their own celebration. My approach is calm, meticulous, and obsessively organized. I plan for the details most people never see, and I anticipate the small problems before they ever reach you.

I bring a background in leading complex, high-stakes projects with many moving parts, and I channel that same operational rigor into every timeline, floor plan, and vendor conversation. Whether it is an intimate shower or a multi-day cultural wedding, the goal is the same: flawless execution, delivered with genuine warmth.

It is an unusual combination: the discipline of running large, complex operations, brought to the intimacy of a personal celebration. That is what sets GEM apart. You get airtight logistics and a planner who treats your day as if it were her own, so you are free to simply be present.

Born in Canada and of South African Palestinian descent, I bring a personal understanding of Arab and Muslim celebrations, from the religious and cultural details that matter to the rhythm of a multi-day family gathering. I love helping families honour their traditions while making every guest feel genuinely cared for.

When you work with GEM, you work directly with me, not a faceless agency. I am currently completing my certification through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC).
