Dave our DJ from Kooltempo was easy to talk to and communicate with from the initial start.
He is very friendly and professional and simply lovely.
He communicated with me through the whole process. We even had a Zoom call just before the wedding to go over everything in detail .

Dave at Kooltempo did a fantastic job at the wedding. Everything went off seamlessly. He knew everything about the venue, where best to set up the speakers and his set up. I have nothing critical to say about his work. He set the tone for the evening and everyone had a fabulous time.

We chose to work with the Kool Tempo team after attending a friend's wedding that they played. The party was great and we knew we would get the same experience. Dave was very responsive when I reached out to inquire about pricing and I was blown away by the value we would be getting once partnering with them. Dave worked with us to learn what type of experience we wanted from the ceremony, through cocktail hour, dinner, and into dancing. We gave a long list of must plays, and Dave ensured our faves were played when we were on the dance floor. The client portal was a great way to ensure all information was communicated between us. Overall, we had an awesome experience with the DJ Kool Tempo team and would recommend for any style wedding.

Dave was our DJ from Kooltempo and he was awesome to work with. From our initial meeting, we felt that he listened and knew what we wanted. The whole process was very professional and gave us confidence that our day would go great. On the wedding day, Dave was very involved – we had a live pianist for our ceremony music but Dave had all the music available as backup just in case (which we did not end up needing). He was there prepping our bridal party to enter the hall to make sure everyone was in order and everything went smoothly. Most importantly, he had the dance floor full all night – thanks Dave!

Our Experience:
From the first moment we reached out to Dave our experience with Kooltempo was so easy. Dave was very responsive and educational, he proactively provided us advice for our wedding even before we committed to hiring him – this gave us a lot of confidence that Dave was the right person to work with and that he would have always have our best interests in mind. From there Dave has a unique process of looking at your wedding day itinerary but from a music and party perspective and he guides you through different themes of music that can create different vibes throughout the night so you can be sure you’ll have the type of party you want (for example, we had a Motown feel during dinner, and for part of the party we had a throwback to Top 40 of the 90s which was cool, etc.)

Dave’s attention to detail is also impressive, for example, he reached out to the venue directly to understand the specs of their internal sound and lighting system and he formed a relationship with the venues technician – all of this to ensure we would not have to worry about anything sound or technology related.

On the day of Dave and Kooltempo team were really flexible and adaptable. They worked really well with our day of coordinator and our MCs to better understand the flow of the night and to manage on the fly changes to itinerary etc. and in the end our guests could not stop talking about how the flow of the night, the music, and the photobooth were so much fun!


Additional Advice:
Hire Kooltempo for both the DJ and photo booth services. If you aren’t considering a photo booth, we’d recommend it because not all of your guest will want to dance, and this is a nice alternative. Dave and his team do a great job of managing both the music and photo booth to ensure all your guests are having a fun time and that the energy of the reception stays up beat. It’s also much easier for you to manage both the DJ and photo booth through 1 vendor, and with Kooltempo you get great value when you hire them for both services.

When choosing a suitable DJ for our wedding, we had many essentials on our list. We contacted many companies but our final decision was easy, as Kooltempo stood out from the competition. Correspondence was punctual, thorough and efficient which I liked as an immediate first impression. For our party crowd, it was important we hired a DJ that knew how to get people onto the dancefloor and keep the party going all night. Not only that, we had a wide range of music we needed our DJ to play and be comfortable with. Dave was confident in his expertise and during the night, he absolutely delivered. Not only that, he was easy to work with, professional and very kind - exactly the type of person you would like to have at your wedding. It was such a great night. I would love to have a reason to hire him again and would do so in a heartbeat =) Our guests had an amazing time at our wedding and that was the most important.

Dave was our DJ for the night and he couldn't have done a better job. From start to finish Dave was such a pleasure to work with, he was very fast in responding to any emails and questions we had, he helped my MOH with her presentation and incorporated any songs we wanted. We even had some foreign songs and he played those too. During the Ceremony all the music was spot on and when it came to the party part the music selection was great.
