I cannot recommend Samir enough. We booked him with one week of notice and that was more than enough time for him to help us sort out a plan (though for his sake, please give him notice, lol).
Leading up to the wedding he allowed numerous last-minute changes, all stress free for us.
He even advocated for us when our venue was trying to nickel-and-dime us on a $150 microphone rental fee.
He kept the crowd dancing and the people on their feet right up til the very end. Track selection was excellent. Transitions were smooth. Every song flowed into the next without a break in the action. The laser lights as an add-on were a great choice too. He kept the energy up as an MC. No regrets with this choice of DJ!

Mixmaster Samir did an amazing job of energizing the dance floor in multiple languages during our wedding reception. He was quick to respond, listened to our needs and kept the party going all night long. He was organized, knew our timeline well and was able to make changes on the spot. He created a fun atmosphere where we were able to make some great memories. Everyone had great things to say about him, especially mom.

DJ Samir should be your number 1 for picking a DJ for your event. From the start Samir was very quick with responding, very kind and friendly. He even gave us advice to ask other DJ vendors to gain a deeper understanding of their services. Once the party started it really didn't stop until the time time ran out, right up until the last song! Everything was perfectly timed and he is a magnificent MC. Very engaging with the crowd and the Bride and Groom as well. Everyone was asking 'who is your DJ?' Overall if I could rate higher i would but this review will have to do!

Honestly once we talked with Samir it was the easiest decision to book him. He was so thoughtful so easy going - and so kind. I would 10000% recommend booking with him, he will play the music you like and he is extremely professional. Everyone at the wedding even commented on how amazing the DJ was.

We recently hosted an after party at Hart House and Samir was our DJ for the event. He did an incredible job, and I will outline some details below.

He showed up early and got everything set up on time. In general, his preparedness in making sure everything was clear and done properly before the event was great.

During the event, he did a great job organizing speeches, first dances and other formalities. For dancing, he worked through a really fun playlist for a wide range of audiences - I had guests come up to me on multiple occasions and comment on the quality of his services. He also did a great job with our late night karaoke request - which was the highlight of the night for many guests.

When we first met Samir, we told him that we didn't expect our crowd to dance much; so much so, in fact, that we were debating not having a DJ at all. Samir's friendly and professional demeanour won us over, and we ended up hiring him.

Not only did he get people dancing, but he had people on the dance floor until the venue closed at 1 AM. He kept the momentum going all night long - it was obvious that he was paying attention to who was around him and making really thoughtful choices about what songs to play. No awkward downtime. No "duds". Just joyful dancing for 3.5 hours straight. I sometimes found it hard to step away and get a drink because I didn't want to miss a single song!
