My wife and I got married at The Henley Room in October 2024, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! Robin and Joe were so kind and easy to work with, beginning with our initial tour of the venue and continuing through (and beyond) the day itself. Some of the major highlights:

The price: compared to many better-known Toronto venues, The Henley Room offers incredible value for money. We especially appreciated the time Robin took to walk us through each aspect of our quote and provide helpful and realistic advice based on the setup of previous Henley weddings, without ever pressuring us to increase our spending.

Built-in planning and day-of coordination help: one of the things that makes The Henley Room stand out is the fact that their package includes 2 advance planning sessions as well as an in-house day-of coordinator. This simplified things on our end in a huge way! Wedding planning can be overwhelming, and so many other venues leave it up to the couple to sort out all the planning and logistics. Having access to expert guidance from people like Robin and Joe, who have years of experience planning these types of events, made the whole process so much smoother, and allowed us to relax and enjoy an anxiety-free wedding day.

The location!! If you’ve seen the pictures, you already know: The Henley Room is an absolutely gorgeous venue, housed in the Argonaut Rowing Club on the shores of Lake Ontario. We had so much fun getting married on the dock right by the water; if you’re looking for amazing photos, you can’t beat this place. Our guests also raved to us afterward about the coziness of the indoor space, which includes a beautiful wood-paneled bar housed just off of the main event space (this was especially helpful during the reception, as it allowed folks who weren’t as interested in dancing to have a separate, comfortable place where they could hang out).

I could go on and on, but the point is, The Henley Room is a hidden gem worth looking into. We had a great experience, and could not recommend this venue more highly. Thank you, Robin and Joe, for making our wedding day as memorable as it could possibly be!

I cannot recommend the Henley Room enough, Robin and Joe made the planning process so easy for me, they totally eased my stress and everything went so smoothly. They were both great with communication, the room was set up exactly as I'd pictured. The venue is super beautiful, they have a great selection of drinks at the bar for both drinkers and non drinkers, and the staff the day of were so great.

Robin and Joe were amazing from start to finish. They were flexible, responsive and also wonderful to our guests. The bar staff was amazing as well. Our guests loved the venue (especially the beautiful dock ceremony, gorgeous balcony and nice, open bar area) and it was the perfect size for our 100 guests. We would highly recommend and are so glad we chose the Henley Room for our May 2024 wedding.

This venue is definitely a hidden gem! My husband has lived in Toronto for ten years and we had no idea we were passing by on Lakeshore everyday!

Truly a beautiful location for your ceremony and a cosy, intimate atmosphere for your reception.

Robin is so easy to work with. We had a planner she collaborated with easily, but she also has lots of ideas if you don’t have a planner.

Great bar menu, great vibes, great experience!

Robin was an absolute DREAM to deal with - she made sure our vision came to life and that it was flawlessly executed. Situated directly on the lake, you really get the best of both worlds - we had our ceremony on the docks overlooking the lake, which was stunning. Afterwards we moved indoors for our reception inside the Henley Room, which oozes class, charm and character. It is such a unique venue and you don’t expect it to be as stunning as it is. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting how breathtaking the venue was - the twinkle lights bringing warmth against the large windows overlooking the lake is hard to beat.

The venue comfortably fit 95 people for seated service with a dance floor in the middle. It was a great size for the Henley room as it still felt intimate but didn’t feel empty.

The bar package is also extensive with a significant amount of selections. We upgraded a cocktail and it was a guest favourite! There’s a lot of options with the Henley room to make your wedding truly you.

In short, if you are getting married in Toronto this is absolutely a venue to check out. Robin is the best coordinator and helps you significantly along the way. 200/10 recommend!

We had a wonderful experience hosting our wedding at the Henley Room in July 2022! Some of our favourite parts of the venue include:
-unbeatable location right on the waterfront (amazing photo spots on dock and in adjoining park)
-booking includes an amazing venue / day-of coordinator (Robin)... really cannot overstate enough how helpful it was to have a kind, experienced, responsive and efficient person guiding us through the planning process, lead the day-of set-up/decoration, and keep everything running smoothly on our wedding day
-great bar space separate from main reception room (nice to make cocktail hour feel distinct and also a quieter place for older guests to go mingle once the dance floor opened); bar was also really well-stocked, including lots of craft beer options
-beautiful patio overlooking the water (guests loved having a drink and taking photos out there)

There's about a million other reasons we liked the Henley Room at the Argonaut Rowing Club, but bottom line is that we'd highly recommend it as an event space!

I had been planning my wedding at The Henley Room even before I met my husband! Robin and Logan made my wedding dreams come true! The Henley Room is hands down the most beautiful wedding venue in Toronto! We booked our original wedding date before the pandemic and we were knee deep in planning when the pandemic started. Obviously we never pictured our wedding and planning to be so unpredictable but it was totally worth it when we finally got married at the Henley Room! There were so many sleepless nights planning our wedding but Robin and Logan were so flexible, understandable and calming! They were responsive to all our questions and reassuring as we planned our wedding during a very unpredictable time. They also kept us safe at the wedding and followed all COVID protocols. Our wedding day was exactly what we dreamed of and I still can’t believe it really happened! I would highly recommend this venue!!!

My now husband and I had a small ceremony in the Henley Room in December of 2020. Logan went above and beyond in making everything feel special. The location followed provincial and city Covid rules and made everything as safe as possible. If you're looking for a lakeside wedding with options for indoor and outdoor space, incredible staff, unbeatable views, parking, and a location with a really interesting history the Henley Room is perfect. We got married here in August 2019 and this review is long overdue!!! The venue is STUNNING, their bar package is amazing, very reasonably priced, and above all else Robin is a saint!!! She is so amazing. I had more than one "bridal breakdown" during the planning stages (at one point we thought the dock ceremony would have to be inside due to the water levels) and throughout it all Robin made the whole process seamless. She was so kind, understanding, PATIENT!! She even brought us drinks right to us on the wedding day. All of our guest a year later are still talking about the beautiful views. It was such an easy-going, fun, romantic vibe and I'm so happy we chose this venue. If you are thinking about it at all, I highly recommend you do!!! Also we went with their preferred vendors Blair's Catering and Evolved Entertainment - can't say enough positives about them either!!!! Our dream wedding was perfect! We were so so so happy. Thank you again Robin and the Henley Room!!!

Everything from the Henley Room was perfection. Robin and the team were a treat to work with. They were attentive and accommodating throughout the entire process. I don't think there is a better team out there. The space itself is stunning, when we saw it for the first time we booked on the spot. We wanted a venue that would be beautiful but also match our casual vibe, and the Henley Room was the perfect fit. We were lucky enough to have our ceremony on the dock, which might just have the best uninterrupted view of the lake in the city. We were so impressed throughout the whole wedding planning process, and cannot recommend this space enough!
