Delicious food with great service
We had the challenge of getting married across the country, and not getting to taste our food before the reception. We told our Wedding Coordinator that food was important to us and that it was something we were willing to pay higher prices for. We took one of the recommendations of our Coordinator and never looked back. Heck, she had great taste we thought (well her taste seemed to be similar to mine, so same difference?) And boy did she ever.Sent on 09/01/2019
We loved choosing from the menu options and putting together a menu that really seemed like "us". We were a little afraid some of the items would be a little too adventurous or spicey for some of our guests, but we only received positive feedback from everyone.
We made sure to enjoy our food on our wedding day and it was delicious.
We had a vegan guest and I myself am a pescatarian. There were plenty of options for everyone. I know that the sous vide short ribs were the biggest hit.
My mom was the most impressed with the service during the passed appetizers. So thank you for that!
I'm still dreaming of the fudge brownie.

the BEST wedding food
SO many of my guests have been commenting about the food at the wedding. I was so sad that I didn't get to eat more of it! I am a vegan and my husband is not. Food Dudes was so accommodating to helping to create a vegan friendly menu that everyone would love. The staff was incredible. Two Thumbs up! They were just perfect!Sent on 22/02/2019

The Food Dudes made it a dream wedding. EVERYONE loved everything they did from creating a few custom menu pieces for our appetizers and welcome cocktail to the setup and take down of the day. We are still getting messages daily about how incredible the food was. Wedding food can be good or bad...the Food Dudes made it GREAT! THANK YOU!!!!

We would recommend Food Dudes for catering your special occasions/wedding, however I think my husband and I had a one off experience, and sadly it was a bit of a stressful one. We knew right away once we met with Jason and went through our tasting we would book Food Dudes, however had we known the lack of professionalism and customer service that was in store for us leading up to the wedding we probably would have chosen elsewhere.
Unfortunately, Jason wasn't able to run with our wedding right til the end due to unforeseen circumstances which we completely understood, but we were then passed on to the Operations Director and then 4 days before the wedding a junior event manager was briefed on our wedding. From the time we were passed on to the Director to the day of the wedding we just had an unsettling feeling that things were being missed, after we were so organized and planned everything out prior with Jason, and found ourselves having to repeat clear instructions and details until it was correct (we ended up having a detailed play-by-play, floor plans, and working directly with the Event Rental Group in order to make sure the right items were being booked).
In the end, 90% of the day ran smoothly and we were pleasantly surprised. I unfortunately felt the ceremony wasn't handled well as myself and the bridal party were left waiting in the bridal suite unsure of where to go to enter for the ceremony, until we figured it out ourselves and by then the music had already been queued by the junior event manager (which I think he realized the mistake right away as we saw him running towards where we had eventually worked out where to come out from to make sure we were even there). I had looked forward to that moment with our favourite song, my dad on my arm and walking up to the man I loved, but instead we were all a bit flustered and felt rushed. Whether that should have been handled by catering (our event manager) or the venue manager we don't know.. Just wish the music hadn't been queued until the event manager knew we were in place which I think is common sense.
There was also a small hiccup with our table wines and tealight candles, but nothing worth mentioning here. Just slightly annoying we made it quite clear with labels and dummy-proofed each box, and yet there were still mistakes.
The rest of the day was great. Food was fantastic as expected by Food Dudes. Our guests loved everything from the canapes to reception meal, as well as how smooth the day ran. They made sure to put 2 of each canape in the bridal suite so we could have a taste as well (we even tried grabbing some during cocktail hour, but our guests were devouring them before it could make its way to us haha). The event manager was great at finding a bridal party member and checking in with them, and even checking with us in terms of timing of everything we thought was very thoughtful and reassured us things were running smoothly.
In the end we were happy with Food Dudes, but just wished the month or so leading up to the day hadn't been so stressful and left us feeling neglected and almost feeling stupid/like we were doing something wrong. For the overall price and our experience I would say we are close to saying it wasn't worth it, however we know if we hadn't gone through the experience that we had and instead worked with Jason from beginning to end it then it was definitely worth the value!
Thank you guys for the fantastic food and in the end an overall incredible day!Sent on 25/09/2018

Our favourite Dudes!
My husband and I have nothing but good things to say about Food Dudes! We hired them for our November wedding at Design Exchange, and we worked directly with Jason Dinetz, who we also hired as our "Day Of" Coordinator. Our emails and questions were answered ridiculously quick and with lots of detail, and Jason really went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. He's also just a genuinely kind and grounded person, so we were very grateful to have him in our corner to support us.
The food is another story! It was by far the most inventive and most thoughtful meal we've ever tasted. We had an eclectic guest list and had to consider vegetarian and vegan options and other dietary restrictions, and the Food Dudes delivered on every single dish. We had some tough critics as guests (including my traditional Italian dad) and our guests are still complimenting the food to this day!
Food Dudes made our wedding extra special and we'll always be grateful for our experience with them. We look forward to working with them again in the future.Sent on 11/06/2018
