The Ajax Convention Centre is an ideal banquet hall to celebrate your big day! It is located east of Toronto in the Durham Region and offers innumerable services for your event to be a successful celebration. Facilities and capacity
It is spread over 30,000 sq. ft. land area and it offers a total number of six banquet areas to celebrate your big day. They are:
- Grand ballroom: a 9,000 sq. ft. space that can accommodate approximately 600 people for a wedding.
- Westney, Kingston, and Bayly Ballroom: three 3,000 sq. ft. area rooms that can host up to 180 guests.
- Salem Room: a 1,000 sq. ft. room, ideal for an intimate celebration with up to 60 guests.
- Hardwood room: a 1,200 sq. ft. space that can hold up to 80 people.
The Ajax Convention Centre includes great services for your event. The services included in its wedding package are table cloths, napkins & chair covers, centerpiece vases, votive candles, flatware, glassware, event coordinator, lighting and sound, set up and clean up, accessories such as an envelope box and cake server & knife, dinner menu, menu tasting, bridal suite, drinks and beverages and catering services.
The Ajax Convention Centre also offers its services to commemorate other social events. These include corporate functions, meetings and conventions, trade shows, gala dinners, cocktail parties and private parties which include birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Big, beautiful, Italian wedding!
The packages included for events are very well priced for everything they include. Payments were extremely flexible to make and Kim worked with us on our payment schedule. We really appreciated not having to do much at all in terms of all the smaller details - while we chose to do our own centrepieces and seating cards, the venue offers couples the option of doing literally everything for you.
The night of our wedding, there were a few things that we would’ve liked to change - all small things. The lighting was not the best & for all our bridal party entrances and first dance, the lights were fully on. It didn’t allow for the right “mood” or vibe to be set. We had to ask the staff to change the lighting which they did no problem. The other thing is the party next to ours was extremely loud during our speeches. I know that’s out of staff’s control but it is a downside of sharing the same divider wall. Their music was blasting and it was heard over our speeches. It would have been nice for staff to maybe pop in next door and ask that the music be turned down briefly.
Our server Tina was amazing though! She was so kind and ready to help. Corrine at one of the bars was also amazing!!! We had all good experiences with our staff and most were incredibly accommodating.
Overall, we had a great experience and we are so glad we chose this venue for our special day! Would definitely recommend for any upcoming events.
