After paying Angela $5,000 to photograph our wedding I need to report that she was unprofessional, rude, childish, and unapologetic with very poor communication skills. Her photos arrived with NO EDITING after just 6 days we received over 1,000 images. And she had run them through a program which blew out the colors so everyone looked pale and the colors were all wrong.

After being very disappointed with how the photos turned out, she never – not once apologized or suggested even a partial refund or even offer a short re-shoot to make up for what we wanted. She sent long emails blaming everything on us and the fact we didn’t hire a second shooter to help her out. She kept telling us she would fix/edit and we asked for edits of the photos for 6 weeks – and they were just normal things such as rotating, cropping and color correction. She did not edit a single photo for us. We also had a few long-winded phone conversations pleading with her to just give us the images and during those she was so emotionally upset that she cried over the phone at us, stating that our cruelty for wanting edits was forcing her to quit her business after being a wedding photographer for 23 years.

Part of her fees are attributed to “scouting costs” that is fine if you are literally in a large outdoor area such as a mountain. For a venue she’s photographed dozens of times, this is not the case. If she says she will “tailor” a package for you she won’t - that’s just her charging this hefty extra fee for doing absolutely nothing.

After 5 weeks of pleading with this woman to stop holding our wedding photos hostage – she finally agreed to give us the RAW images so we could start arduously editing them ourselves. She did this in a drunken email which she embarrassingly copied to several other people – with similar names so I got an email from someone with the same name as me asking what this was about. As soon as we had hand-delivered a hard drive to her door (which we arranged for a drop-off and she ditched us and left a message that we should leave our expensive hard drive on her doorstep) she immediately sent an email saying that now that she was providing tangible goods she would legally have to charge us PST on the entire cost of our wedding photography. This is ILLEGAL. Unless she was providing the actual hard drive and selling it to us – she cannot charge PST. From there I sought legal advice and finally, after fighting with her for 3 months – we have our photos which we now have to edit ourselves.

After this all went down we found out that a work colleague had actually experienced a similar thing with Angela Hubbard – making us not the only people she’s done this type of thing to.

Our photos are the best souvenirs from our special day. I can’t stop looking at them even though it’s been 7 months! Angela had a great eye for capturing candid moments that we missed. Best of all, we really enjoyed sharing them with our family and friends. Many of ours friends thought our photos looked like something from a magazine.

All the photographs she did for us from the engagement to our wedding were incredible. Everyone commented on how beautiful the photographs turned out. She captured moments we didn't even know were happening! Thank you so much, Angela, for sharing our special day with us xxox.

Angela has a great eye and managed to capture every important moment throughout the ceremony, cake cutting, first dance and into the reception.

Angela is a rare find - not only is she talented, but she also has a great personality and knows how to put people at ease, and is fun to work with. What I really love about her photos is her ability to capture the moment so that everyone looks so natural in the photos. I would definitely recommend Angela - she is the best!
