Kayla was amazing. She truely loves what she does and it shows with her contagious energy. She managed to keep everyone happy and moving through the bridal/grooms party pictures, which is no small feat as there was 5 on each side plus 2 kids. Then she moved like a damned ninja around the wedding as well, always with a huge smile on her face and got THE MOST beautiful photos, that even I (the groom) was blown away with. 10/10 would hire her again, she was honestly worth more than every penny, I cannot recommend her enough.

Kayla is amazing--she is very engaging and warm, and put us at ease immediately, which showed in our pictures. She was very knowledgeable about the places we were getting pictures done, and very accommodating. And our pictures--there aren't words to describe how amazing they turned out. To say Kayla captured the most precious moments on my special day is an understatement. Her outgoing enthusiastic personality made photos a dream. She made us feel so comfortable, and she genuinely cares when it comes to your special day. Leading up to the day we had many conversations, making sure she knew what shots I wanted and if I had any questions or concerns. Kayla had it all organized I didnt need to stress one bit about photos. She made sure awkward hands were tucked where they should be, that my dress was flowing for all the moments, and our poses were natural. Her creativity and quick wit kept us laughing and loving each other through the process. After our special day we got the best photo reveal one could ask for. We got to re-live our wedding day in a nice intimate space. I cannot say enough about her and her style. She took my expectations and made it into reality. Kayla photographed our wedding this summer and we cannot recommend her enough! She was incredible! From the first time we met with her, through postponing due to COVID, to the day of - wow! Kayla is an amazing photographer! Not only is she very talented but she makes the experience relaxing and fun. I have always been a bit apprehensive about being photographed. I would worry about whether we will be told what to do, how to pose, and where to go, etc. but Kayla took all of these concerns away and captured so many beautiful pictures. This allowed us to enjoy having our pictures taken together instead of worrying about what to do next. She is also great at getting back to you quickly with any questions you may have. After coming across Kayla’s photography website she invited Chris and I to join her on a video call so we could chat “face to face” being that we live in Edmonton and she in Grande Prairie. Before the call, and knowing a little bit about our needs beforehand, she referred us to some friends of hers that own a videography company called Bread and Wine, that joined us on the call as well. During that initial visit Kayla explained to us the service that she provides and while doing so she radiated love and passion for what she does and the couples she serves, which was very unlike the other companies I had already interacted with.
During our engagement session we got to meet Kayla for the first time in person and she instantly greeted us with a warm hug which took away a lot of the nerves from our first photo shoot. Not only were the photos phenomenal but she had them edited and back to us in such a short amount of time. The months leading up to the wedding, after our engagement photos, Kayla offered me so much encouragement and advice when I needed it, which really wasn’t her job to do but I am so thankful for.
The wedding day was hectic and busy but through it all Kayla kept a smile on her face and had an amazing optimistic attitude, which kept my spirits high. The morning of, Jonathon, from Bread and Wine, asked if he could pray with me and Kayla joined in and held my hand and it moved me to tears. She also made us ladies look and feel like princesses during our getting ready photos. Throughout the rest of the day Kayla had the task of coordinating family and friends, young and old, for photos, which she did with ease and made everyone feel comfortable and included. She worked so well with Jonathon and went above and beyond with the amount of time she was supposed to be there for, as well as with the photos she took, delivering over 1300 beautifully edited images in just over a week after my wedding day. Which is truly phenomenal.
All I can say is that Kayla has a huge passion for what she does and it shows through her work. The person that she is as well as the product that she delivers is so beyond worth the investment. Meeting her you know instantly that photography is more than just a pay check to her, which really sets her apart from the rest.
