For our wedding, the one vendor I researched the most was photographers. It was a real struggle to find someone who posted their prices online, and had a package that included a decent number of hours but was also actually affordable. I don’t even remember how I managed to happen upon Reflection in my search, but it was by far the best package I could have found – 2 photographers for 12 hours for under $2,500. No one else even came close to that, most were around 4 hours with 1 photographer for that price, and they put a limit on the number of digital photos they would give you too! With this package, I could get everything from getting ready photos to the dance, it really covered the whole day, with multiple angles as well from the two photographers!

Sharif and his wife Dipa were really lovely to deal with. They responded so fast to all our emails, Sharif came to our ceremony venue in the Zeidler Dome at TELUS World of Science twice to scope it out since the lighting was going to be difficult for photos, and he and his second photographer, Cynthia, were so nice on the wedding day.

We had a large wedding party, and so I did note that Sharif struggled to get everyone’s attention and give direction for all of our posed photos. As well, I was a little concerned after seeing some sample shots at the rehearsal as the lighting in the planetarium was a bit of a challenge for Sharif, trying to capture the dark sky backdrop as well as the wedding party. One of my bridesmaids is a photographer and she gave him some pointers on how to shoot in such a dark venue. She also came along for our couple photos to help give some direction, and tried to wrangle the full group for photos too. Sharif and Cynthia were very gracious whenever my friend did intervene, they took her advice and were always really kind and professional. Our videographer was a little frustrated at times too because the photographers kept passing in front of the video camera, but I feel like that’s probably a pretty common thing at weddings, everyone’s trying to capture all the moments!

While our venue and big group may have posed a new challenge for them, the photos we received from Reflection were really stunning, we couldn’t be happier with them. It might have been nice to have a few more options for the group photos, but I believe trying to keep everyone’s focus and pose that many people in a very limited amount of time were the biggest issues here. In the end, we received over 700 high res images, a mix of posed, candid, and décor, which was everything we had asked for and is way more than many other photographers would provide! All the photos turned out better than we could have imagined, so all in all we were really happy with our experience with Reflection, Sharif, Dipa and Cynthia.

Reflection did both our engagement photos and wedding photos. They have a very good price point for services and gave us a discount on our engagement photos.

The day of the wedding they were wonderful to work with, and came with their own ideas, bur were very flexible with our ideas also.

Personality wise they were very easy to work with, very friendly and brought a good energy with them.
