About The Dawgs
The Dawgs is a legendary rock band that hails from Aurora, Ontario and were formed in 1994. The band has an ever-expanding repertoire of original songs. The band is known for their powerful, live performances, tight vocal harmonies, and a driving rhythm section with explosive guitar riffs. The band members include Bernie Serrao on rhythm & lead guitar, Mark McLarney on drums and percussion, Mike Spriggs on guitar, and Neil Teixeira on bass and guitar. The Dawgs covers events all over Greater Toronto Area, including London, Richmond Hill, Pickering, and Guelph.
The band’s first demo was recorded at Inception Sound Studio in Toronto and released in 1995. The song, "A Better Man," was featured on Toronto’s top radio stations, such as Q107, Mix 99.9, and 95.3 (Y95) FM. The band won a grant from the Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent On Record. The first CD released in 1998 and is called, "Are You There." The Dawgs were placed in the top 10 of The Mix 99.9's talent search in 1995 and 1997.
The Dawgs are a Rock and Roll four-piece band. The repertoire boasts of a diverse generes of music, including chart toppers, disco, funk, R&B, and the classics. Instruments played by the group include guitar, bass, drums, violin, accordion, rhythm tuba, and more.
