Meet the team
Lynnette MacDonald, our founder and head Cake Designer, earned her reputation as one of Canada’s most sought-after cake designers and international speakers by channeling her unrivaled perfectionism and meticulous attention to detail into creating unique desserts for over 20 years. She and her team were invited to competed in 2020 on the Food Networks The Big Bake.
Lynnette’s passion for baking started at an early age: in her mom Marie’s kitchen where fresh baked bread and homemade kitty cat birthday cakes were a staple. It is here where Lynnette learned how to perfect and recreate recipes that had been in the family for generations.
In 2002, Lynnette decided to convert passion to profession, and trained in the art of cake design and decorating. She has trained in Paris France in French pastry and French macaroons. Lynnette proudly shares her family recipes today – with her discerning clientele who seek delicious desserts, perfectly decorated in SWIRL’s kitchen. She has trained her team to ensure consistency in the product and quality so no matter which team member creates your order it will be tasty and stunning!
