At this time I would not recommend Diamond Ballroom. The food and drink were good and the venue was spacious. My biggest complaint was they made an error in the final amount with less than 3 weeks away from our wedding. We pre-booked the space more than 1.5 yrs in advance so we knew the final balance for a while. We received a 'we are so sorry email' which stated there was a difference of nearly $2000. They would not budge and absorb the amount as it was 100% their error. We were already so stressed and in a corner with less than a month away from our wedding so we paid 1/2 of the amount owed. I was bothered by this for a long time.

Lastly, we were told we would have a 'day of coordinator'. The lady we dealt with presented the idea as though she would be there (because she said she would be!). Our day of coordinator was a gentleman who had no idea about our wedding nor ideas. Our friends had to assist with the set up and take down. I was in my dress at the end of the night cleaning up, which was not what I was told when we paid the extra $$ to have someone clean up.

I am not one to give bad reviews but your wedding day is one of the most important days and it should be special. I was very stressed throughout dealing with Diamond Ballroom.

The space is amazing! Open and bright with their large windows and the patio with the Vancouver skyline is icing on the cake. Our wedding had around 200 guests and the space allowed us to host everyone comfortably, and since a large majority of our guests were from out of town, they were very impressed with the view this venue provides.

By booking with Diamond, they also provide you with a day-of coordinator. Stacy and Anya were awesome to work with. I currently live in Calgary so everything was done via e-mail or phone. I never had to wait long to get a response back any time I had questions or concerns.
Note that they do in house catering - but the chef there knows what he's doing. We met with him for our tasting menu and he was very attentive and took down notes on anything that needed to be tweaked. The food was delicious and we received a lot of compliments - which is huge for a wedding.

Lastly, a tip for any couple that are planning their wedding in 2016 and on wards. We lucked out because the day of our wedding was the Celebration of Lights opening. depending on the way the fireworks are set up, you can either see a bit of it from their patio or all of it. We lucked out and at 10pm that night, all our guests were able to watch the entire fireworks show from China. Thanks Diamond Ballroom! We were so lucky to have our wedding reception there and all of your staff made it extremely memorable for us

Stacy, Anya and the team at Diamond Ballroom were exceptional! Justin and I planned our wedding from afar because we live in Bermuda. They came through and delivered top notch customer service, room decor and catering. The best part is that they offer all these services under the same roof. Stacy and Anya are quick on their feet and were always suggesting ways to save money by choosing certain options. They offer packages at different price points for whatever your budget may be. Their In-house linen and rental company also put me in touch with an amazing florist who does all the work for the City of Burnaby.. Her name is Leslie Cuming and her company is called Able Mabel Makes.

The Diamond is a hidden gem… The view is spectacular which does a lot for photography and videographers. The view saved us a lot on decorations because it spoke for itself.

As for the food…all my guests said the food was AMAZING! These compliments are coming from cooks, chefs and self proclaimed foodies! The wait staff and bartenders were amazing as well! They kept our crowd happy. .. Unfortunately, being the bride,I only had one bite of my plate and got distracted by greeting people and dancing all night. The staff kept offering me more food and a fresh plate… So it's my own fault that I didn't eat up a storm lol…They were very hospitable!

Considering I may have not been the most organized bride Stacy was able to work with me and saved the day many times! There was a mix up and we did not have a laptop for our slide show… And Stacy let us borrow hers even though she was not working the day of the wedding! Superb customer service.

We have nothing but good things to say about Diamond Ballroom and highly recommend them for your special event.

I had my wedding reception here in May and I am so glad that we booked with Diamond Ballroom! The views of Vancouver are stunning, especially if you're looking to impress out-of-town guests. The ballroom was a perfect size for our 125 guests and felt intimate without being cramped. The planning and consultations are very thorough as they walk through every detail of your event and we found that they were able to provide really helpful suggestions in terms of decor, timeline, and other vendors. Our Day-of Coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly and we did not have to worry about anything the entire evening! We ordered a buffet dinner from their in-house caterer and we were very impressed with the quality of the meal. I would definitely recommend Diamond Ballroom for a wedding reception venue.

I had my wedding reception here on September 6, 2014. This venue is not only beautiful, but the staff and service was above anything that I could have expected. They made my wedding planning and wedding day fun and stress free. The catering is also amazing. I come from an Italian family, with high expectations for wedding food and I only received positive feedback and praise. This venue truly is a hidden gem and I recommend it for any event, but especially for weddings. The staff will be sure to please!
