We got married during covid times and had to change our wedding plans a lot. We were fortunate to sneak it in while the guidelines were still 50. I was worried that the space would be too small downsizing from a 130 person to 45 but it wasn't! The space was filled beautifully and never once did I feel like the space felt empty.
A lot of our guests commented on how amazing the space was and I couldn't agree more!
We were working within a more conservative budget, and although the cost of the Permanent was above what we had originally intended on spending, we found it to be well worth our money! They offer many amenities/services within their venue package and as they continue to flourish as a business I've noticed that more complementary services have been added to their venue package.
My husband and I are both not planners, and neither of us had a lot of time to devote to planning the wedding. Nicole and her team went above and beyond to help us plan the perfect day. She was incredibly responsive (over our two year planning period) and always had great, practical solutions to all of my questions.
Our wedding was very simple - evening ceremony followed by cocktails and canapé reception. The space required very little to make it look incredibly beautiful. All we had to do was provide some candles and black linens and it looked like a millionaire's ball. The Permanent team had a phenomenal eye for making a little decor go a long way, and every single guest commented on how the wedding was unique and beautiful.
We could not be happier with our wedding day. We had a vision of what we wanted and the team at The Permanent executed it perfectly. It was stress free, easy, and we created beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
If you are looking to have a wedding in Vancouver I would highly recommend The Permanent. It's easy for your guests to access, they don't make you start shutting down at 11:30 (which a lot of venues do), they are incredibly easy to work with, and there is no venue that compares to the beautiful historical architecture of the building.
