Our wedding day was everything we envisioned and so much more. It was smooth, seamless and stress free! Margot designed a gorgeous event that we feel was a beautiful reflection of who we are and the love we share.

My husband and I are both detail oriented and had already put so much time and effort into planning our day, it was important to make sure we were handing things over to someone who would put it all together the way we would. Marcie is professional, organised and knowledgeable, but we really felt like she was invested and excited for our day. The whole experience felt so personal, we were able to trust Marcie completely, so we could step back and enjoy our day without having to worry about a thing.
There were a few hiccups on site the day before we arrived for the weekend and Marcie was up there immediately to deal with it, only reaching out to us when absolutely necessary.
We had hoped for an outdoor ceremony and had very uncertain weather the day of, rain off and on. Marcie was our eyes and ears while we were getting ready, helping us to make the right call, even though there were several wipe downs of the chairs (thank you Nicola and Margot!), at the very last second the sun came out! It was a bit stressful but Marcie was reassuring and had a feeling things would work out the way we wanted them to.
She created a detailed itinerary, liaised with all of our vendors, made sure things were set up exactly as we had envisioned and kept things running seamlessly until the end of the night, while we were able to focus on having fun and enjoying ourselves!
Saying Marcie was an integral part of our day is an understatement- there's no way we could've done it without her and I'm not sure anyone else would've done it as well.
We were in such good hands from first meeting until the end of the night on our wedding day and we couldn't be more grateful.
Trusting someone with your wedding day, arguably one of the most important in your life, can be scary, but Petite Pearl was definitely the right choice, I can't recommend them highly enough!

Seamless planning and jaw dropping design services
For our event design services, Marcie took some scattered ideas we had on Pinterest and turned our venue of Dusty’s Whistler into the most romantic, cozy, mountain lodge that had a sophisticated yet boho-chic feel to it all. I don’t know how she managed this, but the decor all the way from the plates to the furniture to the arrangements - everything was beautiful and perfect. She also worked closely with our florist to communicate the vision and colours we wanted which resulted in beautiful creations.
For our month-of coordination services, Marcie really went above and beyond here. The 60 days before our wedding, covid restrictions were constantly changing, even including up to the day of the wedding, which required us to have many plans and contingencies in place. Marcie was extremely organized and excellent with communication. She worked directly with all of our vendors to navigate almost daily changes, and helped us be ready for just about anything the day threw at us. She also helped make sure we thought about absolutely everything and plan for everything, so that we felt prepared leading up to and could relax on the day of. Marcie made our whole wedding experience a dream. Now we want to have another just to work with her again! Seriously the best investment we made with our wedding was for the services we received from Marcie and Petite Pearl. For what they delivered, their fee should have be double or triple what they actually charge. The value for the quality of service and creativity is not matched by anyone in the sea to sky region.
Lastly, the Petite Pearl team was wonderful to work with. They don’t bring just anyone along to assist with events on the day of, they bring their other designers and planners. This really helped us feel like everything was absolutely perfect and there was nothing for us to worry about with such an experienced team on site for us during the day.

Stellar All Star Wedding Planners
Since the beginning, Marcie and Jessica have been on top of the details of our wedding, but the pandemic took it to the next level and boy, did the Petite Pearl team 👏step👏up! We had to find a new venue after it became evident that our family and friends were not able to travel for our wedding anytime soon. Marcie graciously stayed on to help us plan our much smaller wedding in Vancouver. Petite Pearl were incredibly accommodating with uncountable changes everytime new restrictions were announced.
We had a beautiful intimate wedding we didn't know we wanted or could imagine. It was the best day of our lives and we are forever grateful to the Petite Pearl team for not only making our wedding a reality, but also creating such a wonderful experience for everyone especially with all the hurdles thrown at us.

I could not agree more with their statement as Nicola is AMAZING! She is truly a gem and wonderful at what she does. She had all the little details covered and took away the normal stresses of planning a wedding completely. Add on the endless changes of planning a wedding during Covid - which honestly, Nicola's support/positivity was much appreciated when I was questioning if a wedding was even possible.
I could go on and on about Nicola and why she is an asset and an absolute must. If you're on the fence about a day of/mouth out coordinator, do it. And ask for Nicola. I promise you will not be disappointed :)

We had Nicola as our wedding coordinator - she thinks of all the details and makes you comfortable and at ease during the entire process. She communicated with our vendors which made the last month (August) much easier. She is wonderful!

Hard working & attentive planner who absolutely crushed planning our wedding.
We opted for the Month & Day-of planning with Event Design for our 170 person wedding at the Stanley Park Pavilion, and for us it was a life saver! From our our very first meeting with Jess we knew we were in good hands. She was well prepared, organized, very attentive, and never afraid of having a laugh (especially when speaking frankly about the many difficulties of planning a wedding!). After the initial meeting she was always quick to answer our questions, and did a great job managing expecations when it might take a bit longer to reply. Most importantly, Jess wasn't afraid of giving her honest input, being open to new suggestions, and ultimately running full steam ahead with our final decisions. This really made us feel like we were still in the driver's seat, just with a fantastic navigator.
PPE kept checking in with us before the one-month mark to make sure we had made our key decisions, just to make sure there were no last minute surprises-or at least very few. In organizing our vendors, PPE's industry contacts ran deep, and Jess's logistical prowess was always self-evident. We would have been a wreck if we didn't have their help! Our advice: If you have more than 3 vendors for your wedding, do yourself a favor and hire these pros, you will thank us later! As far as we know there were zero problems on our wedding day, and if there was the PPE team solved it without any of our guests hearing a peep.
When designing the decor, Jess absolutely nailed the look and feel we wanted. And from what we've seen of their other events, it was no cookie-cutter affair; everything was done to complement our style. It was clear to us that fostering conversation and easy guest-flow was a top priority for PPE, and it was beautifully executed. There was always a spot for guests to gather, have a seat, and easily converse. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to (even the married couples!).
Our wedding was the most incredible day of both of our lives, hands down. We had so much fun, and are so thrilled with how it turned out, and we both feel it is due in large part to Jessica and the incredible team at Petite Pearl Events. Thank you thank you thank you!

Meet the team
Hey! I’m Jessica but most people call me by my maiden name ‘Minnie’, so you can too. I am a Métis womxn, a mama to the raddest little dudes Gordie + Tanner, a wife, a pisces + the Founder/Creative Director of PPE.
I’m the opposite of shy but I most definitely prefer to be behind the scenes doing what I love most + working hard to make moments extremely special, stress-free + picture perfect for others. I started PPE in 2010 from my kitchen table + the trunk of a Sipcar while working another full time job. By the age of 26, I was completely self employed. Fast forward to 2019 + I have an incredible team of 4 other full time Lead Planners/Designers, 2 part time Lead Planners, 1 part time Designer + the best wedding day assistants. The last 13 years have required extreme dedication + many sleepless nights, but each year is more rewarding than the last + I continuously get to meet some of the most inspiring individuals/couples who are still in my life to this day. I hope that you can be one of those couples as well.
Hi, I’m Margot and I like long walks on the beach… no but seriously, I’m a Vancouver girl at heart. I can stare at the ocean for hours. It centres me and fires me up for adventure all at the same time! And when it comes to adventure, well, that’s sort of my jam. My favourite quote + guiding principle is “feel the fear and do it anyway”. Following that mantra has led me into the most amazing experiences of my life… like sailing around the world on an old timey tall ship, quitting my 9-5 to follow my passion for wedding planning (more on that coming up) and moving halfway around the world + planning/executing events for PPE in a new city/country for a couple of years abroad. Speaking of that work life (and let’s be real, personal too, because there isn’t really a difference for me), 2022 marks my 10th year with PPE where I’m a Senior Lead Planner + Event Designer. It’s the best of both worlds; all of the nerdy OCD satisfaction of spreadsheets + colour-coded timelines together with the creative challenge of pulling together eclectic + highly personalized events for my amazing clients.
Hi! I'm Nicola. I'm a Lead Planner + Event Designer with the PPE team. I joined the team in 2016 and now work full time with this amazing team. My favourite thing about what I do is hard to put into a few words, but I love that I get to help people create some of their most special memories.
