Debuting in 2014 as the only 4 Star Resort in Calgary, they are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown core giving a unique experience of being within the city central yet having the refreshed feeling and stunning scenery our resort has to offer. As they strive to be Calgary’s leader in lodging and entertainment, their resort is fully equipped with million dollars state of the art meeting & event facilities, 84,000 square feet of gaming action and luxurious resort facilities. Their team consists of trained and seasoned professionals that are focused and have systems in place to make your stay and event memorable. They are proud winners of the 2017 Calgary Hotel Supplier of the Year award and the 2018 Trip Advisors, Travelers Choice Award.
Facilities and capacity
Their Hotel Ballroom is approximately 6,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 300 people in seated round tables of 8. They have a bright and opening pre-function area that suits perfect for a cocktail hour, buffet, or any additional space to add to your program.
In addtion to their Ballroom, they have a 20,000 square feet Event Centre that can accomodate up to 1,000 people in seated round tables of 10. It is a beautifully decorated venue that specializes in hosting weddings and other important events. They offer a complete production team to assist you with any of your wedding needs. This state-of-the-art event centre is spacious and well equiped for weddings and galas, with your own private greenroom to get ready in!

The Grey Eagle started out great and promising, however the final product was far from what was discussed. Don't let the affordable price fool you. Did several meetings with the venue where all details were written down and some how missed in the final event order. During the event the sales/banquet manager was not there to oversee the event which was disappointing. We had personalized champagne flutes brought to the venue but at the end of the night, they lost those flutes....and cannot locate them still. There was a severe lack of communication with the staff onsite and the execution was poor.Grey Eagle Resort & Casino's reply:

Thank you for your response. We are disappointed to hear about the experience you received, as we understand special events like these leave lasting memories and need to be handled with the utmost care and detail.
As discussed privately, the box with the champagne flutes was re-packaged up in the box it came in and was delivered to your on-site contact, after being hand washed - directly from our Banquets Manager (who was on-site for the entire duration of your program and was in contact with your listed on-site contact throughout the entire evening).
All Weddings receive a detailed Event Order to review and sign off on, this is the document that will entail all details followed by our banquets department. We strive to provide the best experience for all our guests and have taken the measures to follow up with you privately and compensate for any errors on our end accordingly.

We were treated fantastic. Everyone was attended to, and loved the services (hot tub, free breakfasts were of great value,) and they were treated like royalty. There was an incident the evening of the reception, and the hotel management treated us to a stay in the wedding suite at the cost of a regular room and we received tickets to the zoo at no cost to us to visit the pandas. The staff, leadership, and venue went above and beyond for us and our wedding! We loved our wedding and how everyone was treated. We wish we could give this venue more than 5 stars. Everything was perfect. The staff at the Grey Eagle, especially the Catering Manager, Kelleagh Alexander, sure know how to throw a well-organized and fabulous function, with the up-most professionalism. We recently held our wedding here, ceremony, cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing, and let me tell you, everything went off flawless. The food is EXCELLENT. Our guests raved about it. They have the BEST buffet selection, such a wide variety for all tastes. They made the stresses of getting married dissipate. They made it so easy. They really worked with our budget.
