Facilities and capacity

The Westin Edmonton boasts 27,000 square feet of event space spanning 20 event rooms which can also be combined to create larger function rooms. The largest configuration of these can accommodate up to 1,100 seated guests, ensuring that no one shall miss out on the wedding fun. The spaces are all minimal in decor and completely unobtrusive. This allows wedding planners to get creative when designing an event’s decor scheme. The hotel’s facilities are extensive and include a fitness centre with a heated indoor pool and sauna. There is parking available on-site, and furniture including tables and chairs comes with the rental of the venue.

Our best day. Thank you Westin!

We highly recommend Westin!

First of all, just wanted to say thank you Westin for such an amazing experience. We got married last August 2, 2025 and we are so glad we went with Westin as our reception venue. No words can express how grateful we are for the service and the amazing staff Westin has.

Huge shoutout to Angelica Barroga (catering sales executive) for creating our personalized wedding proposal. She was so easy to deal with via email and replied to us right away when we had concerns. During the beginning stage of our wedding planning, we asked to see the venue. She is seriously one of the biggest reasons we went with Westin. She was so welcoming, good hearted, friendly and just an awesome human being. She was even helping us with ideas to make our vision into a reality. Thank you Angelica for an awesome service!

Another shout out is Bobby Adejare (event manager.) He was so easy to deal with and responded to all our questions and concerns. He has great organizational skills and problem-solving skills (thank you for all your help!) He has a great personality and made our menu tasting day extra special. It was short notice but he allowed my husband’s nephew and niece to join us. This day was def a highlight for our Westin Experience. We loved every minute we were there. I had multiple requests during our wedding planning and Bobby made it happen. Thank you for the nice card on our wedding day and the awesome food/drinks with it. Thank you Bobby for being simply awesome.

Another shout out is to Chef Rahil (and his team.) Wow. Amazing talent and what an honour to taste his food! He even made chicken fingers and fries for my husband’s niece during our menu tasting day! This was so sweet of him. He also gave us the idea to also serve some of our desserts as family style during our wedding which we appreciate. We loved everything we ate at the Westin. Seriously so good!!! Can’t even count the amount of compliments we received from our guests regarding the food!! We esp loved the mushroom soup. Everyone was obsessed with the mushroom soup.

Shout out to Rofa who was the front desk staff when my husband and I checked in. When she found out that my husband got a separate room at the Westin, she made sure that this room was close to the bridal suite. She also gave him a free upgrade which was so sweet of her. She was friendly, professional, and just a great staff member.

Shout out to Tina (restaurant supervisor) who was so nice and helped us get our belongings and decor after our wedding. She helped us open the storage room and she even helped us push the carts. Awesome service!

In summary, we had the best day at the Westin and we are so grateful for all the staff members who made this day extra special for us. This also includes: the kitchen staff, bartenders, waiters, front desk staff, bellmen, all the staff I might have missed. We HIGHLY recommend The Westin!

Amazing team

We just got married this passed weekend at The Westin Hotel. When I say everything went so smoothly, I mean it. From the very first meeting with François, to the day of our event I couldn't be happier with picking the Westin for our big day. The first time we went in to see what the venue had to offer we met with François. He was super friendly, inviting, and informative. He met with us and told us everything that the hotel had to offer us for our big day, from the use of two conference rooms, providing, tables, chairs, linens, plates, utensils, food, alcohol, even setting aside rooms for out of town guests at a cheaper rate, etc. To say we picked the Westin Hotel was because of François is 95% of why we picked the space. He was such a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole planning process. However it wasn't just François who was part of our event team at the Westin. We also dealt with Angelica who drew up our contract and explained to us how everything would breakdown price wise. She too was super helpful, informative and accommodating. Then there was also Racquel who was in charge of the hotel room rentals. Anytime I had a question about which guests had booked a room she was very quick to send a detailed spreadsheet with all the guests who had booked rooms. And last but not least we also had Stephan as part of the event team. We unfortunately didn't deal with him throughout the whole process but he was our point of contact for the entire weekend. He was really friendly, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. The morning after our wedding when we were tearing down all the decor and getting things ready to leave and got our last tier of cake back we sadly found out that our customized cake topper had been misplaced. We immediately let Stephan know and he got on to tracking it down immediately. As I write this unfortunately it has still not turned up but Stephan has assured us that he has sent a memo out to the entire Westin staff and have everyone keep an eye open for it. Aside from the slight hiccup with our cake topper everything went off without a hitch. We would 1000% recommend using the westin to any of our family and friends for future events.
