Warm walnut wood and ivory leather paneled walls provide an elegant and contemporary setting for up to 420 guests. A 5,500 square foot foyer with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the harbour offers a spectacular area for cocktails, dancing, or post-dinner mingling.
The Emerald Ballroom is one-of-a-kind with breathtaking views through floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Vancouver’s harbour, the North Shore Mountains, and a beautiful cityscape. At 2,600 square feet, it is the ideal setting for seated dinner celebrations of up to 150 guests.
Inspired by a Balinese Villa, the Chairman’s Suite offers over 2,250 square feet of pure luxury. The suite connects to an impressive 1,800 square foot landscaped and tented private outdoor terrace for 40 for a seated dinner and 60 for a standing cocktail reception. The Chairman’s Suite can also be added to your wedding experience for intimate pre or post wedding celebrations. The patio features breathtaking views of Coal Harbour, a private cabana and fireplace.

last minute life saver
We originally had our wedding planned at a different venue. Due to COVID they closed and we were scrambling to figure out what to do 1 month before our big day. Luckily Merina from The Fairmont Pacific Rim helped us organize our wedding on the Chariman's Terrace. She was amazing. She answered all our questions. We had over 50+ email exchanged within those 4 weeks leading up to our wedding. The team at the fairmont were attentive, helpful, and were ready to help you with any of your needs to help make the day run smoothly.

Intimate Micro-Wedding at the Gold Lounge
Fairmont PacRim's staff have been absolutely amazing and way beyond what we could've expected in terms of quality and consistency. We had the pleasure of meeting several staff members including Nicole Reaume (Director of Conference Services & Catering), Nicole Stout (Catering Sales Manager), Yana Rakhmanova (Catering Sales Manager), and our one and only Merina Chandra (Wedding and Special Events Manager).
Merina had returned from maternity leave and swiftly helped us plan out our special day from location to food to drinks. Moreover, Merina helped us navigate through COVID pandemic in such a calm and reassuring manner that no one else would've been able to pull off. We ended up choosing to postpone our bigger reception to 2021 and still held a microwedding at the special Gold Lounge on the 20th floor. The menu was also spectacular as recommended by Merina and every single guest complimented just how amazing it was. Over and beyond what we could have imagined our day to be like.
Fairmont's service staff, from waiters/waitresses to the chef's attending our food stations, to the bartenders that made our drinks behind the scenes, were all absolutely wonderful. They truly made our day an extra bit more special providing considerate, consistent, and thoughtful service to everyone the entire day. THANK YOU!!!

We had hosted an intimate Chinese tea ceremony at the Fairmont Pacific Rim at one of their ballroom sections. The location and product is amazing and the entire planning process with their events/wedding planning manager was flawless. On the day itself, the execution was very smooth and we'd like to thank their culinary team especially for doing a great job in customizing our food menu - all of our guests raved about the food! We had our wedding reception at this hotel and we thought the service was average. There were a few requests that they could not accommodate but I think that is pretty standard for most hotels in terms of inflexibility. I'm an award winning and celebrated chef in Australia, and moved from down under into the role of executive chef at Fairmont Pacific Rim. My 30 year career has spanned fine dining restaurants, five star hotels, airlines, and catering services. My philosophy is to pass it forward. I’m fortunate to have learned from many great chefs and enjoy the mentor role. Giving young chefs the right skill set and assisting their career path is a great contribution to the industry. One of my proudest accomplishments is to see them cooking in the world’s best restaurants like French laundry, Tetsuya’s, Attica and The Ledbury.
