My husband and I had our wedding at Stanley's and we can't speak highly enough about the venue and staff! Amazing service and we had an absolutely perfect day!

From day 1 Colin and his team were super responsive and helpful. They assisted us with every step of the planning process and were super friendly. It made wedding planning very stress-free. The wedding day itself was perfect - the venue was set up gorgeously and they took care of every detail. Katie is an amazing décor planner and made the reception hall look beautiful - process was seamless. They took care of all set up and clean up so ourselves, wedding party and family had no work to do which was very important to us. Sierra was fantastic on the day of at organizing everyone and ensuring the day went smoothly. She ensured my husband and I had everything we needed and took care of any issues that came up. We highly recommend using Stanley's for any event, but especially weddings.

The venue was gorgeous and the animals and outdoor space was perfect for our guests (especially the kids) and gave everyone something to enjoy during the cocktail hour and reception.

Coordination of all vendors , including DJ and transportation for our guests went off without a hitch. They were professional and accommodating. Food was delicious (all of our guests were super happy and had more than enough to eat)! Service during dinner was excellent - no one waited long for their food and clean up was very proficient.

While planning my wedding, Stanley’s seemed like a suitable option for my partner and I as they offered a package that took care of most of the wedding essentials such as music, decor, food etc.

Given that they offered those services we decided to move forward with getting married at Stanley’s and started planning all the details of our wedding.

We were in constant communication with the staff and while they were helpful and communicative we quickly found out that what they were advertising was not what we would receive. As communications continued we were told that many advertised package items would end up being an additional cost to us if we wanted them which is not what we were told during our discussions prior to choosing Stanley’s as our venue. We voiced this to the coordinator and we were told that things had changed and they wouldn’t accommodate what we were initially told.

However, we proceeded to move forward and continued planning our wedding as we loved that the venue matched our vision of what we wanted our wedding to look like.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, my partner and I had to alter our wedding plans, meaning we were no longer able to get married at Stanley’s. At this point we had already made the required deposits needed thus far.

Upon receiving unfortunate news, we contacted Stanley’s to advise them that we could no longer go forward with our plans and would like to discuss our options in terms of the funds that Stanley’s already has received from us.

Immediately, we were met with an email saying that no funding would be replaced and there was nothing that could be done about it. I had been informed by previous brides that our wedding day could be sold and transferred to another couple to recover some of the deposits that were spent on the venue. However, when this concept was mentioned to Stanley’s they told me they would not accept a transfer as it was their “busiest day of the year” and they would be able to find another couple wanting that date. So in addition to keeping my deposit for that date they were openly admitting that they were going to charge another couple the full price instead of allowing a transfer.

While the property is visually nice, the communication, advertising and greediness of this company is seriously lacking and it’s extremely disappointing given that we thought this was such a great venue to host our special day.

Times are tough right now for everyone… and given that they openly said it’s the busiest day of the year for them...knowing they would be able to fill the spot is sickening.

Unfortunately I do not recommend this venue to anyone. They really let us down and took advantage of our money during a very difficult time. They will not help you in anyway nor allow you to try and make things better.

Cannot recommend this venue enough! Our day was honestly so perfect thanks to the wonderful staff at Stanley’s and the beautiful venue! From start to finish, communication was easy and Francis answered any questions we had and made great recommendations along the way. The day of, we were treated like superstars. We didn’t expect to get catered to like we did! Our guests also made comments about how nice staff were and how things ran so smoothly. We had the decor package but also brought in a few of our own things and flowers. The venue was set up so beautifully and thoughtfully, keeping our vision in mind. Beyond that, the food was absolutely amazing. They enthusiastically accommodated our requests for a thanksgiving type menu with some French-canadian flare, and it honestly SO good! Guests also commended the food and left with very full bellies! We can’t wait to see our photos with all the beautiful fall colours on the grounds. 10/10 recommend!

Great experience. Beautiful landscape during all seasons. The food is amazing. The staffs are friendly. Great at addressing your questions or concerns. Will make sure you relax and enjoy your wedding day.

We had our wedding at Stanley's on Sept 17. It was very beautiful, excellent decorations, the grounds were beautiful, everything was on time, the food was excellent, the coordinator was polite,

The only things we found that were sort of off par were, sometimes in our communications with the staff before the wedding, we would ask a question such as, can we come a bit later for a meeting, and the answer was yes but then later no. Also during the rehearsal, some of our wedding party were a little late by 30 mins, we got a couple of dirty looks from some staff, we felt a bit rushed out of there and a bit uncomfortable. It would have been nice if they were a bit more friendly towards us that day.

Other than that, maybe providing more buns and sufficient bread for the evening snack could be beneficial in the future.

All in all, we really loved it, the horse and carriage was perfect, the ceremony, the dinner and all the extras. Thank you Stanley's, we had a beautiful day, one to remember!

Stanley's made our wedding dreams come true. The venue is absolutely beautiful, our guests loved being able to visit the animals and explore the gardens. It was an incredibly warm day, but the AC in the Maples Hall was an absolute life saver. Katie, Colin, and Kathy were all diligent in ensuring we had everything we asked for, and incredibly patient with all of our questions and needs. The hall was decorated beautifully, the food was fantastic, and we all had the most amazing time. We'd recommend this venue to anyone, and will be returning every year during maple season. Not only we're Stanley's absolutely excellent to us, but it felt good knowing that we were supporting a local family and local Ottawa farms. Thank you Stanley's!

My husband and I were so excited to get married at Stanley’s. In fact, as soon as we got there we said send us the contract. Unfortunately , we didn’t experience this excitement the rest of the journey. We had trouble contacting them and getting a response was difficult (I had to call and ask them to reply).

Food tasting: the food was dry and bland I ended up leaving really worried what our food would be like.

Day of :

We got married in the tornado of 2022. What a wild and unfortunate circumstance. When we arrived my father and I were about to walk down the aisle and the power cut off. They told me to go to the bathroom (which was fine as they brought guests inside). Once I went into the bathroom, I saw it was flooded and the bath
Toilets weren’t working (before the power was off).

As we were trying to arrange an indoor ceremony I saw Stanley’s staff putting water into toilet which flooded it further ruining my dress .

Stanley’s told us they did not have a generator , and just as I was explaining that is no excuse as they were calling for A storm for the entire week (and we paid 24k just for food), they suddenly “showed up” with one. They knew a storm was coming and couldn’t go buy a 300 dollar generator ? after I paid 24k?

The generator only powered lights . The womens washroom was flooded and didn’t work the entire night, it was actually disgusting as all the toilets were overflowing. 90 % of my guests left at 10 as their were no working washrooms and they cousins wash their hands , it’s covid times still !

I completely understand that the weather was bad , but this weather was being called for all week and the amount we paid them, they should have been prepared.

We are ultimately happy we’re married but regret getting married here.

Stanley's were absolutely fantastic in accomodating our needs. They clearly mapped out options for us and gave us a range of choices about the various services they offer, and were extremely receptive to how we wanted the day to go. They asked all the right questions that prompted my wife and I to think about things we had not yet considered about how the day would go, and made helpful suggestions as we planned. Whenever we had questions or clarifications (and we had a lot), the staff were extremely quick in getting back to us.

We got married on 'the steps' and it was a beautiful ceremony. We had our reception in the South Lawn Tent, which was decorated beautifully, mostly with the decorations Stanley's had on hand. We wanted to bring in a few things of our own, and Stanely's were more than happy to permit us to do so - we had dropped it all off and they set it up for us according to our instructions. Helpfully, they packed everything up at the end too. The day was well co-ordinated by the staff and all the guests have reported to us that they had a fantastic time.

Throughout the day the staff were very attentive, especially to my wife and I, making sure we were taken care of while we wandered off to get photos done around the property. There are lots of nice places to take pictures at Stanely's!

The service at Stanely's was of exceptional quality - thank you especially to Colin, Katie, and Sierra for all of your help throughout the planning process and for your work on the day itself.

When my husband and I were looking for a wedding venue, we both knew we wanted a place that gave us a serene outdoor option without the hassle of being near any busy city setting. We couldn’t find anything near our town of Petawawa and a quick Google search showed us Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm.

From day one of visiting Stanley’s, we knew it was special. The matured maple trees, the charming stone house and the calmness of the grounds gave us a sense of comfort and peace. It felt like you were at home and you wanted to share the experience with everyone you love. So that’s what we did! We have to give a huge thank you to Jenna and Earl for helping us feel secure as we booked our wedding date. When your partner is in the military, you never truly know what the next few months or years of your life looks like. Earl provided us with so much support and ensured us that no matter what happened military wise, they would help us create our dream wedding no matter the date.

Only a few months after we booked, an unexpected hurdle popped up that no one was expecting… the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only was our wedding at stake, but there was also uncertainty surrounding our venue and vendors businesses. As every business and individual made their way through the pandemic and new guidelines, precautions and protocols were put in place, Stanley’s was in contact with us every step of the way. With each new announcement, there was an email from them to cover how we can proceed safely or how to postpone if needed. Thankfully we had a small guest list that worked in our favour, and we decided not to postpone and to continue with all safety precautions in place.

Stanley’s exceeded our expectations in more ways than one. From their dedication and diligence in compliance with the provincial pandemic restrictions and guidelines, to creating what I can only describe as a DREAM wedding… We were left speechless along with our guests. With our wedding wish list of ideas, the staff at Stanley’s took it and ran. My husband can attest that I am not always the most easy going person and am very picky, but I can honestly say that everything they created in regards to decor, food and safety was exactly what we had pictured, but better! It was our very own fairy tale.

Our ceremony site at The Maple Grove was the perfect mixture of romantic and cozy. Our reception site was moved to The Maples Hall from the Old Stonehouse Hall to accommodate for social distancing guidelines. They managed to create the larger space for a smaller group into an intimate and warm setting where each guest/social bubble had their designated safe place, yet could still safely interact with other guests from the distance. We had a Thanksgiving Turkey dinner that tasted homemade and not mass produced. It warmed and filled you up, yet no matter how full you still wanted to eat more and more because of how good the food was! Our wedding apple pie that we cut melted in your mouth and we could not get enough.

Stanley’s has all of the beauty and serenity of being in the country, all while having the conveniences and perks of being near the city. We may be two hours away, but whenever we make a trip to Ottawa we plan on continuing to support this great local business. We will forever pass along good words of your venue and service. You gave us the most amazing gift and we are forever thankful. We sincerely hope you continue to succeed and thrive, and make it through this pandemic unharmed.
