Sweetheart Events is led by Stephanie, the owner and principal planner for all your wedding needs. She is a Certified Wedding Planner with The Wedding Planner's Institute of Canada and a Certified Event Planner with BCIT. Planning events for five plus years, her and the SHE team can work with you to create a unique vision and easy planning experience. Her company has appeared in various top wedding publications.
They specialize in outdoor weddings with jaw dropping nature backdrops, destination wedding planning and creative proposal planning in Vancouver, Whistler and all of BC. View more destination wedding couples, and that person was Stephanie. To say Stephanie is amazing, is an understatement. Stephanie goes above and beyond for her couples. She really cared for us and listened to us to create the wedding we dreamed of. When I got engaged, I expected to be stressed out, but that was not the case since we hired Stephanie. Stephanie was truly a great investment to our wedding. I can't even imagine all of the behind-the-scenes work that was involved with our vendors to prepare for our wedding day. Wedding planning was minimally stressful on our end and we thank her for that. Because of Stephanie, my husband and I got to spend time with our family and friends days before our wedding in Squamish and Vancouver instead of dedicating all of our time to wedding planning. We did not stress about things not going as planned. Because of Stephanie, it was very easy to be present in the moment on our wedding day, and we are so grateful for that. Our wedding day went by so quickly, but not once were we worried that something would go wrong because we had her by our side. We are so grateful we had Stephanie as our planner. Our friends and family raved about how personable she was, how beautiful the decorations were, and how timely and smoothly each transition of our wedding went. Our wedding was the best day ever! Stephanie worked with us month by month to ensure we were on schedule with our wedding planning timeline. And on the day of our wedding it beyond anything we envisioned. It was perfect and beautiful, and we have Stephanie to thank for it.

And I really loved the calligraphy service they offered...for me it was well worth it because I enjoy that dainty detail. :) I would definitely recommend the SHE Team! From the first meeting with Stephanie, my husband and I couldn't wait to work with her. She is very friendly and positive, which was awesome for all the times I was nervous/stressed/worried. We booked a venue which didn't require much changing (i.e. Linens and chairs included, ... View more catering in-house, etc) and therefore we only really needed a Day-of Coordinator. We also booked Stephanie's services to help with set-up and take-down of décor. I had not been a part of, or even attended many weddings before planning my own so I had a LOT of questions. Stephanie helped me through all of my (sometimes stupid) questions and gave lots of amazing suggestions. She prepared a great timeline for us and included all my requests. Stephanie also confirmed a number of my vendors and made me feel really calm going into the big day. On the wedding day her team was outstanding helping with set up and take down. Stephanie also helped our MCs throughout the night, although events did get behind schedule quite a bit. Although this was probably more on our MCs, or I should have been more clear on who should take the lead and if we wanted to follow the exact timeline. Other than that, there is nothing I would have changed and I would highly recommend Sweetheart Events to any bride.

Before hiring a wedding planner, we were most hesitant about the costs and the level of involvement we were looking for from a wedding planner. Then we met Stephanie. We had talked to a couple of other wedding planners over the phone before meeting with Stephanie and we weren't sure about their services and how they could help us with our wedding vision. Stephanie was the first coordinator that we met with in person (we were planning on meeting a couple of others but she made such a great first impression so we hired her that day). When we met with her, she gave us a variety of different packages that worked for us and our budget. When looking at spending a small fortune on a wedding it's difficult to imagine spending more money on what may not seem like a crucial expense. However, hiring Stephanie was hands down the best decision that we made during the wedding planning process. Not only did she far surpass any expectations we had for a wedding planner but she also provided her services at an incredible value. Both my husband and I had a really good feeling from day one that she would be able to help us create our dream wedding and we knew she were right for us. Knowing that all her expertise was a short text, email, phone call or coffee away really helped us get through the wedding craze while keeping our sanity. Plus, you really can't go wrong with coffee and donuts! During the beginning of wedding planning Stephanie provided invaluable vendor recommendations to meet our vision and our budget. Our photographer and videographer that Stephanie recommended were awesome and we absolutely loved working with them and being able to use Stephanie's connections. Another amazing part of Stephanie's services was how often she was able to come meet with us to hash out ideas and her willingness to go to the venue with us in person. If we were super stressed out or something went wrong, she was always available and provided suggestions to help get us past the hurdle. She was always prompt in answering emails and would always find time to speak with us on the phone regardless of how many weddings she had on the go. As we got closer to the date, having Stephanie take over coordination with the vendors and create a timeline of how the day would unfold gave us great peace of mind and helped us focus on other wedding priorities. The bottom line is that hiring Sweetheart Events to help coordinate our wedding was the smartest wedding decision that we made. Not only was Stephanie with us throughout our whole wedding planning process but having her and her team with us on our wedding day truly allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our wedding day knowing that they were taking care of all the day of details. Being able to see all of our hard work and effort finally pay off and to enjoy one fantastic day with all of our family and friends was really the best gift of all.
