Kim Maru is so talented! We haven't even seen all our photos yet but are already so pleased with what we have seen so far. Kim was responsive to my emails which was key as I was planning the wedding from abroad. She is so nice and was flexible in accommodating our wants in a shirt time frame. Kim made sure to capture the 'moments' without forcing the moments. She sees details and lights most people don't. We would definitely recommend her to our friends so if you are reading this give her a call!

We were lucky to book Kim only 4 weeks before our wedding after our previous photographer quit. Due to the circumstances, she was jumping into a somewhat mature (but chaotic) wedding plan with a stressed bride! Kim was consistently professional in all our conversations and provided great logistical suggestions. She answered my questions directly and honestly and carefully went through our wedding day schedule with me ahead of time. Her correspondences were always quick and thoughtful. In general, I really appreciated her extensive experience and how mature her attitude was.

As for her work, we were extremely happy with the photos! Her natural light shooting gives a beautiful clean look and she definitely captured the joy of the day. I really appreciated her documentary style shooting throughout the day. While getting ready, we were free to do whatever needed to be done and she worked around us and the photos turned out wonderfully.

I'd highly recommend Kim for your wedding day. A disorganized or flighty photographer can seriously increase stress in the months of correspondence leading up to the wedding. There is no risk of this with Kim! Have a phone conversation with her if you'd like to see whether you would fit well together. Kim was beyond amazing. From the moment we contacted her, she was attentive and professional yet very welcoming and approachable. Neither my husband or I are used to being photographed. Kim was patient while giving direction. Our engagement shots and wedding photos are amazing. She gave us incredible memories that we can share forever.

Kim of Maru Photography is an absolutely brilliant photographer and a delightful person to work with. Kim does not just take photos, she creates art with each image she captures. Choosing a photographer was one of the most important decisions for my husband and myself when it came to our wedding day, if not THE most important. Coming from a background in the arts, I was extremely particular about finding a photographer who could capture our day in beautiful images that were not only artistic and dramatic, but that also had a natural, unposed quality to them. Kim delivered beyond my expectations, presenting us with multiple images that were magazine-worthy, yet, at the same time, so full of the emotion of the day that I was brought to tears.
