We hired Ben for our wedding and engagement session. During our engagement shoot we felt a bit awkward having pictures taken at first, but he was able to calm us down, took the time to let us roam around without pictures being taken, and then got us to focus and feel comfortable. On our wedding day, we were so excited that there were barely any nerves during photos. Ben was very organized and communicated well with all our friends/family. He was also very responsive during planning. We only have a few photos back at this point but they are amazing and I can't wait to see our full gallery! He really put us at ease.

Our engagement was long and impacted by the covid pandemic, and Ben was one of the absolute best vendors we worked with from the beginning and through all the changes that happened along the way. He was so kind and understanding, and he even helped us figure out some of the steps we needed to take in planning and connected us with other vendors that ended up being amazing as well! We already felt great about our choice, but the engagement shoot confirmed that for us - we are both very uncomfortable in front of the camera and he put us at ease right away. On the day of the wedding he was amazing - he captured so many beautiful memories for us. The turnaround time for the photos was within the window he provided, and we are so happy with them! My wife and I (both women) got married in April 2024 and decided to book Ben after receiving a recommendation from a family member. We completely understand why he came to us so highly recommended – he is a wonderfully gifted photographer and has truly found his calling in wedding photography.

From the beginning we could tell Ben was genuinely invested in making not just our photos, but our day everything we had imagined. He took the time to learn our love story and learn how he could best reflect our relationship in his images. He truly goes above and beyond – he even remembered our dating anniversary and sent us a heartfelt message on the day. It was plainly evident that he cares about the couples he works with, and his attention to every detail we mentioned really set him apart.

Ben was amazing at helping us feel confident in the planning process. He was always happy to answer any questions we had for him – whether about his work or about the day in general. He honestly felt like a 2-in-1 photographer and wedding planner sometimes, answering questions and providing us with expertise in any way he could.

My now-wife and I don’t tend to be overly affectionate around other people – most of the people at our wedding had never even seen us kiss before. The thought of being romantic in front of a photographer had us both very nervous, but Ben put us immediately at ease. I’m honestly shocked at how easily it came to us both when it came to taking these photos, and he and his method get all the credit for that. The photos we’ve gotten back have us both looking completely relaxed and at ease so that the love we feel for each other is all that shines through (rather than the anxiety we were expecting). Everything comes across very natural and not overly posed, while maintaining expert composition.

We aren’t the only ones who felt this way about him either – everyone from our wedding party to our grandparents felt comfortable and relaxed and absolutely glow in their photos. He even expertly wrangled the kids in our wedding party, which considering their young ages (2, 3 and 6) is no easy feat! He blended into the day so well that people were asking us how we knew him, not realising he wasn’t a long-standing friend.

In the end Ben didn’t just capture photographs; he captured the very essence of our ten-year love story, preserving it in breathtaking images that will be treasured for a lifetime. Each time we get back more images from him we are left awe-struck. His undeniable talent, professionalism, and genuine kindness have left us wishing we could give him more than a perfect score. Working with Ben was one of the best decisions I made throughout my entire wedding planning process. Ben was such an amazing photographer to work with. From the very first time we spoke until the day of the wedding it was easy. I never felt pleasure to pick him and he made sure that we were both on the same page and that I liked his style of photography before hiring him. Having our engagement pictures made us even more excited to have him take our wedding pictures. The pictures came out beautiful and when showing them to people everyone says the same thing, it feels like you are going through a storybook, the pictures are candid and he capture so many beautiful moments. He came with us through the whole day, including when we wanted to make a pit stop to dairy queen to take pictures of us. We heard of Ben through friends of friends. One quick look at his portfolio, and we were sold. His talent and passion is evident in every captured moment, and he has a great eye for detail. His balance of personalism and professionalism was refreshing and he exceeded every one of our expectations.

We were one of the weddings disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many, our plans evolved… A LOT! First we decided to postpone, then we decided to go ahead with the wedding but smaller, then days before the wedding we had to move everything outside. The global pandemic added real challenges and stress to our wedding planning - there were so many unknowns and things beyond our control. Through all of our changing plans, Ben was absolutely stoic, consistent, empathetic, and supportive. Knowing that we didn’t have to stress about our photographer and that we could 100% count on Ben to capture photos of our day - was absolutely priceless. Worth. Every. Penny. We are so glad we had Ben on our team!

And of course, Ben delivered! He was a great energy to be around on our wedding day and had a way of making us feel instantly comfortable in front of the camera. In looking at the photographs, all the stress of wedding planning and uncertainties of COVID, fall away! And most importantly, it feels like US in the photographs. It is truly magical!

My husband and I only have wonderful things to say about our experiences with Ben! Before our own wedding, we had been a part of several family members' weddings that had Ben had photographed. It was a no-brainer when we got engaged on who would be our first vendor call. Before our engagement shoot we were feeling a little awkward which Ben quickly helped us get over.
From both viewpoints as a wedding guest and as bride & groom, Ben made everyone feel completely at ease and comfortable throughout the whole process--he's extremely professional and has a great attention to detail. When we begun searching for photographers, he stood out the most with the tone and feel in his pictures. He did our engagement photos and wedding. It was clear from the beginning that Ben is very talented with photography. My partner and I were nervous as neither of us had ever had professional photos taken before, but with Ben's relaxed nature, good direction, and good humour we were able to ease in and get comfortable with the process. Getting our engagement photos done helped with this a lot and also gave us something exciting to do while planning our wedding.
