Meet the team

I was fortunate to start piano lessons at the tender age of 6 years old after my mother insisted we purchase an upright piano for our small home. I still remember the salesman wooing us with "The Entertainer" and, from that day on, I was hooked.
The piano has been my life ever since. Being the high-acheiving, oldest of a very large family, I began studying Classical music seriously and passing piano exams. Eventually, I added 4 music degrees to my wall, including a Master's of Music from the University of Toronto.
In the meantime, I taught myself to improvise in jazz and popular styles and to read chord charts. I met lots of beautiful musicians to jam with along the way.
The piano has not only connected me with amazing people, it has given me the opportunity to be part of many special life moments in the lives of complete strangers. It has been an honour to provide the music for many funerals and wedding ceremonies.
In addition to performing, I run a piano studio in Brampton where I adore teaching and mentoring little pianists. I also travel throughout Ontario as a festival adjudicator and clinician, seeking to inspire the joy of music.
In my spare time, I practice yoga, participate weekly in a writing group, and pursue my other passions, ballroom and Latin dance.
