Loved working with Christine for my engagement photos (makeup trial) and wedding makeup. As someone who normally doesn't wear much makeup, it was important for me to have a natural look. I was also looking for a MUA that worked with Asian brides (hello, monolid...). I found Christine on google and looking at her portfolio, I saw that she had experience with lots of Asian brides and seems to specialize in more natural looks, so I was sold. In addition, for the trial, she works out of her home studio downtown which was very convenient for me (a lot of the other Asian MUA's I found worked out of Richmond Hill or Markham). Finally, she was willing to come to my downtown hotel on the wedding day even though it was just me getting makeup done (I had no bridesmaids). I found a lot of MUA for saturdays during prime wedding season had minimums of several services.
Working with Christine was really easy and enjoyable. She quickly understood the look I was going for and was always checking in to make sure I was happy with it. I did my trial almost 1 year before the wedding (because wanted to do it on the same day as engagement photos), which I was a bit nervous about. But when the wedding day came, she did an excellent job almost identical to how it was on the trial.
She was also helpful answering any questions I had. For instance, I did not go with the airbrush makeup because I have dry skin and it isn't usually recommended for people with dry skin.
On my wedding day, the makeup held up great! And I cried a LOT!! It was also a really hot day, but nothing smudged and not an eyelash was out of place even at the end of the night! My family and I were really impressed!! She gave me a touch up kit, but I only used it to re-apply lipstick.
Christine is a total professional and very accommodating. Her prices are also really fair for the amazing quality of her work. I would highly recommend her!

I was very happy with my makeup on my wedding day! Not only was Christine punctual, she was also very attentive and carried out any changes I had previously requested. Christine is very responsive and was patient in answering all the questions I had. She kept my makeup looking fairly natural which was the look I was aiming for. She also did a great job with the moms makeup as well - they're super picky about their makeup and Christine and her team worked with them to make sure they were happy with the end result. I found Christine on Weddingwire and I am so glad that I did! She did an amazing job on my makeup both for the trial and wedding day. My makeup lasted through an afternoon photoshoot in the sun, through to the ceremony, reception, and sweaty late night dance party. She also did a great job with my Mom who was very hesitant to get her makeup done (she hardly wears any makeup on a regular basis) but Christine gave her a very light and natural look. My bridal party was of mixed backgrounds and Christine did a great job making each one of them shine. She showed up on time and kept on schedule. Christine is very experienced and she did my wedding makeup exactly how I wanted it. She was very flexible even though I was afraid I would bother her, she was totally understanding and catered to all of my requests and changes.
