Bouquet was beautiful but not what I ordered
My bouquet, boutonnières, corsages and swags were beautiful and well made, however, I ordered Cali Lillie’s and roses and received Cali lilies and carnations. When I came to pick up my order on the morning of my wedding I was not told of the change until I noticed the carnations and asked why I got carnations when I ordered roses. Someone should have reached out to me by phone when they realized that I could not have the roses I paid for. There was also no adjustment in price. I spoke with this vendor after my wedding to provide feedback one week ago and was told they would look into the breakdown in price and get back to me. My sister was set to get married at Whistlebear Golf Club on Saturday April 18/2020 with 200 people but due to COVID her and her Fiancé had to postpone just shy of a month out. At the time all vendors had been paid in full and a decision was made quickly to postpone the large wedding to October 25/2020 as, at the time no one really knew how long COVID was going to last or what was going to transpire in the coming months.
As October 25th was approaching they made the decision about 6 weeks out to move ahead with that date but only with 30 people attending as opposed to the original amount of 200 based on the restrictions and met with Ainsley to let her know their decision and revise the floral/décor order to reflect the new guest count. As per Ainsley and the contract, revisions could be made 30 days out from the event but Ainsley took longer to get back to them than any professional would and then said the changes were within the 30 days. The request made to Ainsley was that the money that was Non - Refundable ($2500.00) be used for the event and the rest of the money be refunded as they no longer required $5500.00 of florals due to the revised guest count they spoke to her about (30 people that actually only ended up being 12 in the end!). This is pretty straight forward and should be easy to understand - the non refundable amount has to be used and anything above that amount can be refunded if the revisions are made 30 days before the event.
Ainsley continuously said things like "we will try to help out if we can" and "I need to take care of my people" all while opening a brand new floral studio. In the end she went ahead and decided they would only refund a small portion of the money that was not part of the non-refundable deposit. This makes absolutely no sense in my professional event industry opinion as they hadn’t taken any losses from the wedding moving from the original date as that decision was made a month before the date which means they hadn’t purchased anything yet.
You would think someone would have a little bit of sympathy for a nurse who was working crazy hours for the past 8 months while trying to plan a wedding. The fact that Ainsley is using people’s money to float her business instead of doing the right thing tells you everything you need to know about this operation.
In closing, if you want to work with genuine people who actually care about your events, there any many other great companies in the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge Area to choose from.

Great Selection | Flawless Execution!
Highly responsive team, great selection of quality inventory and wonderful to work with! The white harvest tables that we rented for our recent wedding were absolutely gorgeous and a great addition to our decor! Working with a vendor that was on the preferred vendor list at our venue was a huge bonus, as the team at Fresh Look was very familiar with the space which made the coordinating and logistics of the set-up effortless and stress-free!
