The Hangar Flight Museum is a venue located near the south end of the Calgary International Airport which specializes in hosting weddings and many other events in its facility. This venue is rich in history and, considered the first aviation museum in Canada, it offers couples a unique setting to host their wedding ceremony and/or reception. All event spaces are located within a historic World War II building that will take you and your guests on a trip through aviation history.

Facilities and capacity

This museum offers our Main Hangar, surrounded by vintage aircraft and artifacts, as an ideal space for hosting wedding ceremonies and receptions as it can accommodate up to 200 guests.

The Hangar Flight Museum offers couples a number of services geared towards their wedding day celebrations. These services include:

• One event per day
• On-site furniture included in your rental
• Outside vendors

Other facilities

Among it's other facilities, you can find the Lancaster Room and Memorial Room which are great for meetings or other smaller functions. These event spaces have a capacity for up to 60 and 45 people respectively and can be combined with other rooms depending on the size of your event.

Couples are also given the option of renting out the Tent Hangar for visitation, allowing guests to see more historic aircraft including our Lancaster Bomber, Dakota DC-3, and De Havilland Twin Otter.
