Although I grew up living very near to the West Coast Wilderness Lodge, I had never actually been there until my fiancé and I started looking for wedding venues. We were living in Australia, planning to get married in BC and found the lodge online. We said, if it actually looks like it does online, in real life it will be the most beautiful and perfect place for us to get married. I visited the lodge in May 2016 and fell completely in love with the venue - it is truly perfect. Our dream was to get married at a lodge, in the forest, overlooking the ocean, and that is exactly what the West Coast Wilderness Lodge is. I cannot speak highly enough of our entire experience. Throughout the planning phase both George and Genevieve and the rest of the team were incredibly responsive to our needs and answered hundreds and hundreds of questions. They worked with us to ensure that our day was going to be exactly what we wanted. Although a bit of an effort for guests from afar to get to the lodge, it was entirely worth it. We had the BBQ on the beach on the Friday night which was incredible. It was a very relaxed evening, allowed guests to mingle over beer, burgers and smores and it gave my husband and I the chance to talk to everyone the night before the wedding - which hugely took the pressure off the wedding day of trying to have time with every person. The lodge is in a location that offers the perfect pre-wedding activities. The girls went for a forest walk and some beach yoga, while the guys went out on the jet skies up to the waterfalls. Having everything on site and not having to leave at all on the day of the wedding was amazing and took a huge stress off. On the day of, the lodge basically ran the show and everything went off without a hitch. They truly work to accommodate every need and to ensure they deliver exactly what is asked, they go above and beyond to make the day perfect. I honestly can't recommend the lodge enough - the most stunning perfect setting, in a calming natural environment, with experienced staff who go above and beyond to make it all perfect. If we did it again, the lodge would be our first choice. Photos credit to Jennifer Picard, of Jennifer Picard Photography.

We used the Lodge for almost all of our wedding services and I 1000% recommend them! The location itself was absolutely stunning, and many of our guests remarked it was the prettiest wedding location they'd ever been to. I also loved that the whole lodge was booked just for us, which made the event feel like a joyful summer camp with all of our closest friends and family. The food was great, and they really outdid themselves with the rehearsal dinner decor - you have the option to add a rehearsal bbq beachside with lawn games, a full bar and a campfire for s'mores, which was so fun! The day of the wedding, everyone was extremely accommodating, friendly, the dinner and drinks were all fantastic, and the level of service was wonderful - they even let us into all the rooms in advance to leave little wedding schedules and gifts for our guests. Genevieve, the onsite coordinator, answered my millions of emails promptly at all times, and was invaluable. We didn't want to spend a ton of time decorating or having to choose the right china, etc, so finding a beautiful, natural, easy-going location that needed minimal decor (it's already stunning) and had literally EVERYTHING included was fantastic.
