If you're looking for a company that will help plan the destination wedding of your dreams, DON'T count on Mahla and her team to help you!  I had the misfortune of witnessing how unprofessional and rude Mahla can be towards her clients. Friends of mine who were recently married had hired Eventur to help guide them and plan their destination wedding as they liked what the company had posted on their IG account. They had beautiful images of beautiful brides and grooms at their destination wedding. These two friends of mine are not the planning time, hence the reason for wanting to hire a wedding planner. They hired Mahal a year before their scheduled wedding, which gave Mahla plenty of time to coordinate meetings with my friends. Three months before the wedding, the bride was getting worried as nothing had been done other than the wedding website, invitations and finding a destination for the wedding. Out of the 38 guests, only a select few actually booked through Mahla as it was cheaper for everyone to purchase their packages via Expedia or Sunwing.
I eventually went through the wedding planning with my friends, which I thought were basic things every wedding planner goes through with clients.
If you want someone to give you a full vision of your dream wedding and will guide you throughout the whole experience than DON'T BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.
I suggest meeting with any company offering wedding services in person, see their portfolio and get testimonials from other couples and visit their social media accounts to ask others about their past experiences. It never hurts to ask questions as this is your wedding the most exciting time of your life! Think of questions and write them down and always document any interaction with business in regards to your wedding planning so that you have proof in case anything goes wrong. Go through contracts and read every detail! You don't want to get screwed.

My review is just from the beginning stages of trying to secure The Eventeur as a planner. Mahla from the Eventeur made a lot of empty promises leaving us empty handed going into our venue tour in 3 days. She made commitments she couldn’t keep about joining us on the tour and holding our wedding date, but now 3 days before she cancelled both and is going with another bride who requested my same date. She struggles with being specific/explicit in her responses and we are the ones who end up getting the short end of the deal.

Mahla and her team did a an amazing job organizing everything from the beginning to end. We were specially pleased on the day and night of the wedding where we didn't have to worry about anything. Without their team this wedding would not have been possible. They have very good networks and work with very trustworthy vendors. Basically they just make anything you want possible. Couldn't have asked for a better company to plan our wedding!

My husband and I got married in Tulum, Mexico in February 2019 and it was truly one of the most magical experiences and in large part because of Mahla and her team! As someone from the events industry, I had certain ideas in my head that I wanted, and they made them a reality and allowed me to stay sane by not having to worry about a single detail. We envisioned our wedding as a time when all our family could vacation and spend time with eachother and their team's support system made that happen. I've never heard so many compliments on our decor, flowers, photos, etc. and guests saying it was the smoothest and most fun they've ever had at a wedding. Not only did they plan our wedding day, but helped with all of the wedding festivities that ranged from a day trip to visit local cenotes, to the welcome party. Even when there was a little rain, they went with it and adjusted their plan so that everyone was having a good time.

They're an amazing team and I fully recommend utilizing their services if you get the opportunity to!

Mahla and her team are extordinary! After a ton of research and phone interviews, I contacted Mahla. I was at the point of giving up on finding the right wedding planner. It took two minutes of conversation for me to realize she was the one. She and her team have kept me sane, energized, calm, and laughing throughout the process. She was always available to speak with whether it was a phone call, WhatsApp chat, or Skype. Her ideas and collaboration with me and my husband was perfection. She saw our vision and created a dream come true wedding. The day of our wedding was even more spectacular! our guests were thrilled saying it was the "best wedding ever." They couldn't stop raving about our decor that Mahla and her team put together and the venue she helped pick for our big day. Hannita, her assistant, was able to get us a coconut bar with a guy chopping them up for guests as they requested. Oh and we can't forget the cigar roller they were able to get us too. He was a huge hit and a great surprise for guests. She and her team are magic! I will forever be grateful to them for everything. They made our wedding vision and dreams come true. #bestweddingplanner

Mahla and her Eventeur Team helped plan my destination wedding in May 2016 and it was a flawless experience from beginning to end! Mahla was referred to me by a friend of ours and from the moment we spoke, I knew that I made the right decision. Her caring and sweet demeanor completely exceeded my expectations! Her and the Eventeur Team were always professional and nice to all my guests, even the more difficulty ones. Mahla genuinely had my best interests at heart throughout the entire time and gave advice from her own personal experience. Mahla was always quick to respond to all the questions that I had (and I had quite a few!) and was always patient with me and all the guests. I tell everyone that a destination wedding is the only way a wedding should be done and refer Mahla to anyone I speak to! You will not regret choosing to plan your destination wedding with The Eventeur!!

We got married in March 2016 in Cabo, Mexico and I believe that my wedding was one of the most beautiful and dreamiest weddings. It was better than all pictures I had seen on pinterest and instagram :D Thank you Mahla and your team for making our dream come true.
We started planning our wedding about 9 months before our wedding. We had about 70 guest from all around the world that were very well traveled and The Eventeur helped us pick the perfect resort to meet their expectations. ( Everybody ended up loving the resort)
We were not so big on resort weddings since we wanted a more private wedding. So, Mahla gave us all the options in Cabo and other cities in Mexico and we narrowed it down to a gorgeous villa that was overlooking the sea. She even traveled to Cabo before the wedding to check out the villa and meet with all our vendors and made sure everything is perfect. She is the BEST so she only works with the best. We were beyond happy with each and every single vendor!!!
She also traveled to Dallas, where we live to go over all the details of the wedding. We are so grateful for that.
She took a huge weight off our shoulders and I am so happy we trusted her to plan our day.

Thank you Mahla and your AMAZING team, Hanita, and David. You guys are awesome and we'll never forget what you did for us.

Mahla and her team were great to work with! We and most of our travel group are based in Vancouver - initially we were a little hesitant about choosing a travel agent a few time zones away in Toronto, but it did not turn out to be a problem at all.

What stood out most for us was that she was always very professional and responsive. We contacted a few agents before deciding to go with her - not only did she provide our wedding travel group with great quotes, but she was always organized, courteous, and gave trust-worthy recommendations. When we had various concerns she would take the time to address our questions in detail whether over the phone or over email. Many other agents felt much more "seedy", whether it was forgetting details we've already provided, or providing biased recommendations, or being very slow to respond. What a relief it was to find someone professional yet friendly to work with!

Overall my husband and I would highly recommend contacting The Eventeur for group travel needs.

I was a guest at a wedding, when booking my trip I found they were extremely friendly and professional. I actually had to make a change to my ticket to come home earlier and I felt they were very attentive and responsive and were able to make my changes accordingly.

Mahla did a great job handling our air requirements/ changes.
Thought the accommodations were great value, and the wedding was timed perfectly.
If there were any "hitches" they were not noticed.
Had a lovely and relaxing time at this destination wedding!
