We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more incredible wedding planner than Michelle. From the very beginning, she took every bit of inspiration we had: Pinterest mood boards, half-baked ideas, and a wild Alice in Wonderland theme and transformed it into something far beyond our imagination. The ceremony was elegant and seamless, and the reception was an eccentric, magical dream that people are still talking about.

What impressed us most was Michelle’s level of dedication and communication. She would be up working at 2 a.m., messaging us before we even woke up, always available for a Zoom call, and somehow managing to respond instantly no matter the hour. Every concern was addressed with patience, clarity, and solutions backed by her experience. Michelle didn’t just follow our vision—she elevated it, offering creative ideas and thoughtful touches we never would have dreamed of on our own.

Her efficiency and resourcefulness blew us away. Michelle anticipated challenges, had backup plans ready for everything, and even used her industry connections to help us save money where possible. Despite juggling other weddings, she made us feel like we were her only clients. In just eight months, she pulled off what most would consider impossible.

We first found Michelle because she planned a friend’s wedding, and now after experiencing her work ourselves, we can’t recommend her highly enough. If you want a planner who is dedicated, creative, patient, hyper-organized, and who will make you feel completely supported every step of the way—Michelle is the one. Michelle and Lisa are exceptional wedding planners! We truly could not have imagined how our big day would have gone without the two of them there. Like every wedding, there were a few inevitable hiccups, but they handled everything so seamlessly that my husband and I didn’t even realize anything had gone wrong until after the fact—that alone speaks volumes about their professionalism and talent.

As two busy working professionals, it was challenging to stay on top of deadlines and decisions. Michelle and Lisa were endlessly patient with us, and Michelle’s gentle nudges kept us on track without ever feeling pressured.

Wow!! I can’t believe it’s my turn to write a review for Shing! I first met Lisa and the Shing Team when my best friend got married in 2018. I knew instantly that I wanted Shing to be apart of our big day. We got engaged in 2023 and Shing was the FIRST vendor we contacted and hired. Our wedding was on June 14, 2025!

I thoroughly enjoyed planning the wedding so we hired Shing just for day of coordination. However, the entire team went above and beyond! I felt like we had a wedding planner! We first worked with Eva as our head coordinator and later Lisa took over that role! Eva and Lisa sent us countless emails for the past 2 years of planning, were prompt, professional and so fun and easy to work with! We honestly felt like we became great friends with them!

On the day of the wedding Lisa, Michelle and the rest of the team joined. Michelle never left my side and helped me with everything that I didn’t even know I needed! She got me in and out of 3 outfit changes, helped me with my change in hairdo, made sure I ate, etc. Not only that my family was all taken care of down to making sure grandpa always had a hot pot of tea at all time! Thank you so much Lisa, Eva, Michelle and the rest of the Shing Team! You made the best day of our lives so stress free and memorable! There are not enough words to express our love and gratitude for Shing Weddings. Even coming from out-of-province, we knew before we even chose our venue that we wanted Shing Weddings to be our planner. Michelle was our principal planner, but simply just "planner" is an understatement to describe the amount of care and attention that she put into our wedding journey. She guided us, reminded us, stepped in for us, stood up for us, and took care of us over the course of two years as we navigated the wedding industry in Vancouver.

Every single vendor we met with raved about the organization of Michelle and her team and every single vendor always assured us that we were in good hands. Shing also has strong connections to vendors as they had endless suggestions no matter how picky or discouraged we felt throughout the vendor selection process. Michelle's patience for us made us feel like we made the best possible selection for our list of vendors. We are still in awe of how even though we know Michelle was planning hundreds and hundreds of weddings alongside ours, she prioritized us so highly that we truly felt like she was only planning ours.

Our wedding day was above and beyond anything we could have ever imagined. Every single detail was thought out with the most care and attention. Even when the timeline changed, Michelle was quick to fill in and it continued to flow as if we had planned for it all along. We also had the privilege of being taken care of by Lisa, Eva, and Jon all day long. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with. Our family members and wedding party cannot stop talking about how pampered they felt and how much fun they had because no one needed to worry about a single thing. My favorite part was watching Michelle and her team enjoy the day and each other's company. They clearly love what they do and they have fun doing it! They are the ultimate dream team!
